"Essential time tracking for freelancers, with advanced analytics available in the paid version"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TimeCamp?

Time management is a perennial challenge for freelancers and professionals alike, and "Time Camp" steps in as a versatile solution. Its free plan lays a solid foundation by enabling users to meticulously define their projects and tasks, providing a structured framework for time tracking. This basic functionality is invaluable in itself, offering a means to monitor and record the time invested in various endeavors.

However, where "Time Camp" truly shines is in its paid version, where users gain access to a suite of advanced analytical tools. While it's understandable that these features come with a price tag, their potential impact on productivity and project planning cannot be overstated. The ability to delve into detailed analyses of time usage across different projects and tasks empowers users to identify inefficiencies, optimize workflows, and make informed decisions about resource allocation.

As a freelancer, I've found "Time Camp" to be an indispensable ally in my quest for better time management. By accurately tracking and categorizing my time spent on each project and its individual tasks, I've been able to gain valuable insights into my working patterns and productivity levels. Armed with this data, I can make more informed decisions about project timelines, accurately estimate future workloads, and ultimately deliver better results to my clients.

In summary, "Time Camp" offers a comprehensive solution for time management and task recording, with its free plan providing essential features for organizing and tracking work, while the paid version unlocks advanced analytics crucial for optimizing productivity and project planning. For freelancers seeking to gain a realistic view of their time usage and enhance their efficiency, "Time Camp" proves to be an indispensable tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TimeCamp?

While "Time Camp" offers valuable time tracking features, its limitation lies in the fact that all advanced analytical capabilities are reserved for the paid version, which may not be financially feasible for freelancers. As someone navigating the challenges of self-employment, the inability to access these essential tools without additional cost presents a significant drawback. While the free plan provides a basic framework for task organization and time recording, the absence of advanced analytics restricts freelancers from fully optimizing their productivity and project planning processes. This disparity in features can be frustrating for users who rely on accurate data to manage their time effectively and may prompt them to seek more affordable alternatives that offer comprehensive functionality without the need for hefty investments. "An absolute time saver for keeping track of time"
5/5
What do you like best about TimeCamp?

I've found TimeCamp's ability to automatically track to particular projects based on keywords found in application window titles, browser URLs etc. completely and utterly invaluable. After some initial setup it's taken all the work out of time tracking entirely. All I have to do is check back at the end of the month, gather the per-project summary of the total hours I've spent on each client, and job done. Admittedly my use case might not be the most complicated, as I only need to monitor monthly hours, and on an overall client basis rather than per individual product, but I could hardly be happier with how little effort this takes me now. What do you dislike about TimeCamp?

Using TimeCamp on a daily basis, I could only pick at small issues. It struggles a little with being set up on multiple devices - e.g. I'm sometimes working simultaneously on two different comparative codebases on a PC and a laptop. Both need TimeCamp installed (since a lot of the time I'll only be using one device), but it gets confused and shows synchronisation errors if both devices are trying to update timings. This doesn't seem to have any practical issue for my particular use case, but maybe it would if I had to delve into specifics more than I have to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Free and easy way to track my freelance work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about TimeCamp?

I have been using TimeCamp to track my work for various contract roles over the past 3 years. It provides a very straightforward way to keep track of my hours, to organize work completed on different projects and for different clients, and to generate regular timesheets to submit along with my invoices. I am not a regular freelancer, so I'm not willing to pay for expensive billing/time tracking software. TimeCamp allows me to manage my side income for free, and I'm glad to have found it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TimeCamp?

I wish the platform offered the ability to organize timesheets by project name, instead of by the amount of time worked on each project. My current client bills by project, so this would make for less manual calculation on their end. I'm unsure whether this feature is offered in the paid version, but if so, I could be convinced to upgrade in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A simple, easy to use time tracker."
4.5/5
What do you like best about TimeCamp?

Easy to use. You can create project categories and only use your predefined ones without needs to type anything. Even if you want to specify anything, you can write note. The best thing for me is report of your hours divided in every project you started. Interface is very intuitive almost without any learning curve. I am using it almost for 5 years and never had any major problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TimeCamp?

Sometimes there is a bug when your timer doesnt stop even when you clicked stop button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TimeCamp?

I like that I don't have to think a lot about noting times, and what work I did for a certain client because it's already noted, it keeps track of everything that you enter and use whenever the app is open, so even if you forgot to start the timer, you can easily know when you started, and every client is organized in a project and small tasks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TimeCamp?

There isn't something specific that I dislike, because it already covers all my needs perfectly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
