I've found TimeCamp's ability to automatically track to particular projects based on keywords found in application window titles, browser URLs etc. completely and utterly invaluable. After some initial setup it's taken all the work out of time tracking entirely. All I have to do is check back at the end of the month, gather the per-project summary of the total hours I've spent on each client, and job done. Admittedly my use case might not be the most complicated, as I only need to monitor monthly hours, and on an overall client basis rather than per individual product, but I could hardly be happier with how little effort this takes me now. Using TimeCamp on a daily basis, I could only pick at small issues. It struggles a little with being set up on multiple devices - e.g. I'm sometimes working simultaneously on two different comparative codebases on a PC and a laptop. Both need TimeCamp installed (since a lot of the time I'll only be using one device), but it gets confused and shows synchronisation errors if both devices are trying to update timings. I have been using TimeCamp to track my work for various contract roles over the past 3 years.
