"TimeDoctor - An efficient tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Time Doctor?

I wanted to share positive feedback regarding Time Doctor. Its tool for identifying productive hours and reporting on web activity has been valuable in monitoring our team's efficiency.

Additionally, I have found both the standard reporting tool and the support team to be very helpful in generating the data necessary to track team productivity. We use it every week to review the report from the tool.

It is an easy tool to configure, it feels like a one or two-hour job for managers to set up the tool and it is quite easy to install on Windows and Mac too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

There is nothing specific but sometimes it does not provide explorer data to understand the idle or unproductive hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Been using it for 3 years now! I have no regrets."
4/5
What do you like best about Time Doctor?

We started with Time Doctor 1, and when we switched to Time Doctor 2, the transition was effortless. Their customer service was patient and knowledgeable, guiding me from scratch when I moved from a sub-account to a primary one for tracking my VA team.

The ease of implementation and integration was a huge plus—straightforward, no unnecessary steps, just plug and play. What keeps us using it every day? Accurate time tracking and the payroll feature, which makes paying my team simple and precise. No shenanigans, just a reliable tool that works. Highly recommend! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

Like any app, it has its hiccups. Sometimes, the activity bar pauses while tracking runs in the background, or it turns on automatically even when I’m not working. Not a deal-breaker, but a bit frustrating.

Still, it’s the best time-tracking tool we’ve found, and we use it every day! Just hoping they fine-tune those small quirks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Time Doctor keeps the Micro-Manager Away"

What do you like best about Time Doctor?

It helps with "work-life-balance" and transparency, where we can use resources in which area/department. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

Needs some sort of automation of how to detect when a category is changed. Manual changing can be frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tracks working time very efficiently. I use it everyday."

What do you like best about Time Doctor?

I really appreciate the autostart feature, and I find the idle activity timer to be both practical and very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

The activity sidebar is the least helpful feature for me. I prefer to keep my workspace visually uncluttered, so I have it disabled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Mina Park of Time Doctor

Hi Roberto,

Thank you for sharing your experience and for using Time Doctor every day. It’s great to hear that the autostart feature and idle activity timer are making your workflow smoother, those tools are designed to stay out of the way while keeping everything accurate.

We appreciate your note about the activity sidebar as well. Everyone’s workspace preferences are different, and it’s helpful to know when something feels unnecessary or visually distracting. Feedback like this guides us as we continue improving customization options.

Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review. We’re glad Time Doctor is supporting you and your team.

"Good for monitoring and productivity!"

What do you like best about Time Doctor?

I like how Time Doctor’s gentle reminders to stay focused and the option to track time silently make it feel less intrusive and more supportive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

I still believe Time Doctor is a great tool, but the screenshots every 3 minutes can feel a bit much. Just capturing the desktop should be enough without needing frequent images of us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Laura Ramsay of Time Doctor

Hi Shikher,

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We’re glad to hear you find the focus reminders and silent tracking helpful, and that Time Doctor supports productivity in a way that feels less intrusive.

We understand your concern about screenshot frequency. Time Doctor is designed to be flexible, and many settings — including screenshot intervals — can be adjusted by employers to fit the needs and comfort level of their teams.

We truly appreciate your input, as it helps us ensure Time Doctor remains both effective and supportive.

"Horrible Customer Service"
0/5
What do you like best about Time Doctor?

It is decent for tracking staff movements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

The customer service team is horrible and money hungry and refuse to process refunds or notify of upcoming renewal periods. Christian Montellano and the support team are difficult to work with and I don't recommend this software, there are far better alternatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Laura Ramsay of Time Doctor

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry that our initial handling of your request caused frustration, and we understand how important it is to feel supported and informed. While this situation has since been resolved with a refund and account cancellation, we recognize we could have managed it better from the start.

We’re taking your feedback seriously and making improvements to our communication and support processes so that future experiences are smoother. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

"Makes keeping track of remote workers simple"
5/5
What do you like best about Time Doctor?

We used to use the honor system- having remote workers fill in an excel worksheet. Now I log in, print out the custom export with the start and end dates and export to excel. I also like that it shows idle time. I also have the ability to see what websites people are on. I don't use this often, but it's good to have in case there is a problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

The downside is that when the i.t. department switches out a computer on me, it's still showing the old one and recording zero hours. Sometimes it takes a cycle to get it working correctly on the new machine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic product and fit for purpose"
5/5
What do you like best about Time Doctor?

Time doctor allows me to track the hours and activity of my foreign employees. I find it incredibly useful for this purpose. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

Sometimes navigating to the right piece of data is a little difficult. One thing i find a little frustrating is when I set a date range for a data set, that date range changes if I pick another employee or task or go to a different menu. if you don't notice, you get wrong information Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
