"Efficient Time Tracking with Customizable Insights"

5/5

What do you like best about Time Doctor?

I really like the data insights that Time Doctor provides, as they allow us to create categories that clearly identify what tasks our team is working on. There's also an extension that connects to our different tools and systems, making it possible to track specific tasks and the time taken to complete them. The complete dashboard is great because it provides all the data I need. Departments can create project categories, and within those, team members can create their own tasks, which helps us get specific on what they're working on. This detailed tracking lets us offer professional and accurate coaching to improve our team's processes. It's really helped us become more productive and efficient. Plus, the initial setup was ridiculously easy, which was surprising. I was blown away by how simple it was. Overall, I find Time Doctor to be very efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

I don't see the hours allocated to team members versus how much hourly time they're actually spending working as a data insight. I might have missed it because I'm still fairly new to using the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Time Doctor for accurate data on where my team's time is spent, helping us prioritize improvements by eliminating human bias. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi Bronwyn, thanks so much for taking the time to share this feedback.

It’s great to hear that the insights, task categorization, and integrations are helping your team get clear visibility into how work is done and supporting more effective coaching. We’re especially glad the setup felt easy from the start, that’s exactly what we aim for.

On the point about comparing allocated hours versus actual time spent, that’s a helpful call-out. This view can take a bit of setup depending on how schedules and projects are configured, and our support team would be happy to walk you through it or explore options that fit your use case.

Thanks again for the thoughtful review. We’re glad Time Doctor is helping your team work more efficiently, and we’re here if you need anything as you continue exploring the platform.

"Breaks Usage Feedback and Suggestion"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Time Doctor?

I like that Time Doctor monitors team productivity and offers videocast features. The videocast helps a lot in quality checks, allowing us to review how employees follow processes and address client feedback by reviewing timestamps. I also appreciate how really easy the initial setup was. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

I don't like Time Doctor's break countdown feature. We only have an hour allowed break time, so it would have been better if it counts according to the time left and if there's a possible way to sync it into the computer's alarms if they're about to exceed the limit and hit the limit itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Time Doctor for team visibility and to track time for employee productivity. Videocast helps a lot in quality checks by reviewing processes and addressing client feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi Elaine,

Thank you for taking the time to share this. We really appreciate the detail.

It’s great to hear that video cast is helping with your quality checks and process reviews. Being able to go back to specific moments and understand how work is done is exactly what we aim to support, especially when it comes to improving consistency and addressing client feedback. Glad to hear setup was smooth as well, that’s something we’ve put a lot of effort into.

We also hear you on the breaks feature. Your suggestion around showing remaining break time and adding alerts before limits are reached makes a lot of sense. That kind of visibility can help teams stay on track without needing to manually monitor it. I’ll make sure this feedback is shared with our product team.

Thanks again for your feedback.

"Critical for Accurate Project Billing"

5/5

What do you like best about Time Doctor?

I really appreciate how Time Doctor allows us to download project breakdown reports at any time. This feature is especially useful as we tend to review these reports at the start of each month to reflect on the previous month's projects. This way, we can easily assess who our biggest client was, what the major projects were, and so on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

Honestly, recently a couple months back, Time Doctor tended not to show the time properly. If someone worked for two hours, pressed pause, and came back, the app or connection between devices wouldn't display the tracked time accurately. It would just show the time from when it was paused, which could take a while to refresh to the actual tracked time. You could see it on the dashboard, but not on the pop-up window. Also, it's kind of heavy on devices, taking a lot of memory storage, and sometimes glitches or takes a while to load depending on the device type. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Time Doctor to track time spent on tasks for different projects and categorize them. It helps us bill clients accurately and pay team members based on their hours and rates, solving our previous tracking issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi Coumba, thanks for taking the time to share such detailed feedback.

We’re glad to hear the project breakdown reports are helping you review work monthly and bill clients accurately. Having that level of visibility into projects and clients is exactly what those reports are designed for.

We also appreciate you flagging the issues around time display, syncing between devices, and app performance. That’s not the experience we want teams to have. Reliability and accuracy are critical for billing and payroll, and feedback like this helps us continue improving performance, syncing, and resource usage across devices.

Thanks again for your honest review and for relying on Time Doctor for project tracking and client billing.

"Essential Tool for Tracking Productivity and Compliance"

5/5

What do you like best about Time Doctor?

I like Time Doctor's screenshot feature because it helps me monitor if staff members are working for two clients at the same time or for other companies during the hours we're paying them. I also appreciate the productivity report and schedule, which help in validating complaints about staff performance. These features make it easier to confirm if a staff member is indeed not working or doing their job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

I think having a full stop in time tracking would be helpful. Right now, staff can extend their hours and get paid even if it's outside their shift. I'm hoping there's an option to put a full stop when their shift ends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Time Doctor to track staff hours, ensuring accurate payments. It helps catch productivity and moonlighting issues with screenshots, so I know if staff are working elsewhere. It protects staff by proving they are indeed working when appliances say otherwise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi Mimsy, thanks so much for taking the time to share this review and for outlining both what’s working well and where you’d like to see improvements.

It’s great to hear that features like screenshots, productivity reports, and schedules are helping you get clear visibility into how time is spent. Being able to validate performance concerns, spot moonlighting, and confidently confirm when work is being done is exactly the kind of clarity Time Doctor is built to support for both managers and team members.

We also appreciate the feedback around putting a hard stop on time tracking at the end of a shift. That’s a very real challenge for teams managing paid hours closely. While there are ways to manage schedules and alerts today, your point about a stricter “shift end” control is well noted, and it’s feedback like this that helps guide future improvements.

Thanks again for your thoughtful review and for using Time Doctor as part of how you manage productivity, fairness, and accountability across your team.

"Efficient, Non-Invasive Team Tracking That Improves Productivity"

4/5

What do you like best about Time Doctor?

It enables the efficient tracking of team effectiveness through a non-invasive approach, reducing negative perceptions regarding the mapping of their activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

The application is quite heavy, which slows down computers and takes up a lot of space. Also, the timer pop-up appears even outside of work activities, which becomes annoying outside of working hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Time Doctor solving and how is that benefiting you?

As an employee, it helps me track my productivity, keep up with my tasks, and manage my time more effectively. However, it would benefit from a more user-friendly interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Optimizes Time Management, Steep Setup Curve"

5/5

What do you like best about Time Doctor?

I like how Time Doctor makes tracking work hours and productivity very easy. The detailed and clear reports help us understand how time is spent and improve efficiency. I especially like the activity tracking and app/website usage features, as they give us visibility into how time is being spent. They help us identify where our team is most productive, spot inefficiencies, and ensure important tasks get the attention they need, which helps us optimize time management and productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

The setup and learning curves could be a bit simpler. A guided setup or pre-configured templates would make it much easier. It takes time to get familiar with the features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi Joed,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear that our time tracking and screen capture features are helping with your manpower audits.

We also appreciate your comments about downtime communication. While service interruptions are rare, we understand how important timely updates are when they do occur. During the recent incident, our engineering team worked quickly to restore service, and the desktop app continued tracking normally throughout. That said, we recognize we can do a better job of keeping customers informed, and we're actively improving how we communicate during these situations so you have clearer, more timely updates.

Your feedback helps us improve, and we appreciate you sharing it with us.

What I like best about Time Doctor is how it makes time tracking simple and transparent. It gives clear insights into productivity and helps teams stay accountable while working remotely, without being complicated to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Time Doctor?

Hi Stephanie, thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

We’re glad to hear that tracking time across multiple projects and employees has helped you stay on top of hours. That flexibility is important for teams managing multiple responsibilities.

We’re sorry to hear about the tracking pauses during meetings and the pop-ups when accessing sites like Facebook for work purposes. Time Doctor detects activity based on keyboard and mouse input, so idle time settings can sometimes impact tracking during calls or less interactive tasks. It sounds like this may be related to your current configuration, and our Support team would be happy to take a closer look and guide you through the right adjustments.

Please feel free to reach out to us at support@timedoctor.com and our team will help review your settings and resolve any technical issues.

Thanks again for your balanced review. Your feedback helps us improve the experience for everyone.
