## Tidal Automation Reviews
  ### 1. Robust for Enterprise, Costly for Cloud

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asa B.

**What do you like best about Tidal Automation?**

I like Tidal Automation for its usability and interface, which helps in understanding how a dependency tree runs and building complex automations. It's great for compartmentalizing tasks, letting you rely less on large-scale code blocks and break things down into microcode or microprocess segments. I find it requires a lot less training for operators, making it user-friendly. Tidal Automation also has wonderful plugins with great features when needed, and it is relatively straightforward to install. When it comes to enterprise scheduling, it's a solid choice that's easy to use and enterprise-ready.

**What do you dislike about Tidal Automation?**

Tidal is monolithic while it can have some redundancy. Its costs of running is not inexpensive. Tidal licensing in recent years has increased dramatically, which made it a lot less cost effective against certain other rivals. Its overhead has become one of its underlying issues. They need a lighter version, also something that is more cloud-centric, that can run dynamically and distributed. I also wish they had SAAS for tidal.

**What problems is Tidal Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tidal Automation solves complex dependency automation issues with a usable interface and a single pane of glass for all enterprise automations. It also reduces operator training needs by allowing application owners to manage their own automations easily.

  ### 2. Eighteen years of Operational Value and Benefits with Tidal

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Tidal Automation?**

Our organization transitioned to the Tidal Automation Workload
Scheduler eighteen years ago, migrating from Maestro and Tivoli. Over the
years, with continuous enhancements and improvements, Tidal has proven
to be a highly reliable and stable scheduling solution. After
implementing this product, we were able to automate numerous reporting
processes, significantly improving operational efficiency and
providing long-term benefits to our users.
Tidal’s intuitive graphical user interface is easy to navigate while
still delivering the essential functionality required by the business.
Its user-friendly design, along with built-in features such as full
batch-processing visualization, allows users to view end-to-end
workflows prior to integration into production cycles. This has been a
valuable capability for our team.

I particularly appreciate the command-line interface, which is
straightforward to use and provides robust control for managing
complex scheduling activities. Additionally, Tidal’s automated
error-notification features, based on job status, have greatly reduced
the need for manual intervention and minimized operational workload.

Tidal also integrates seamlessly with various cloud-based platforms
and ServiceNow, which has become essential for modern enterprise
environments. Overall, I am extremely impressed with the application’s
capabilities, reliability, and performance.

Finally, the support provided by Redwood has been
excellent—responsive, friendly, and consistently accommodating to our
needs from initial implementation to ongoing maintenance.

License cost became significantly high as twice as what we had. Also, expanding the scheduler or adding new adapters/software may involve additional cost. Lack of Training guide and documentation.

**What problems is Tidal Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tidal has provided a stable and dependable platform that continually evolved through enhancement and upgrades. It definitely eliminated the manual process and save significant save time for the users.
