I've tested all the to do apps and all of them were missing at least one function that I wanted in a to do app. Ticktick 'ticked' all the boxes: lots of different android widgets, lots of options to set up tasks (especially repeating tasks), works with Getting Things Done method, very intuitive UI.

On top of that, it is actively being developed and they listen to their community. I have been using it since shortly after they launched and it keeps getting better and better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Support was not super friendly or helpful (although I have not had to contact support for more than a year now).

It's free, works on all my devices, has the minimal requirements of being able to add descriptions, set reminders, set the order of to-do's, and have a few lists Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The free version limits you to 9 lists. I've needed to resign myself to some long lists in an attempt to combine what used to be multiple lists Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
