## About Thunes
Founded in 2016, Thunes is a B2B company that powers payments for the world’s fastest-growing businesses – from Gig Economy giants such as Uber and Deliveroo and Southeast Asia’s super-app Grab to global Fintech leaders such as PayPal and Remitly. Through a single, simple connection, consumers and businesses can send payments to – and get paid in – every corner of the world. Thunes currently supports 79 currencies, enables payments to 130 countries, and helps to accept 300 payment methods. In April 2022, Thunes acquired a controlling stake in a leading AML and Compliance Platform company Tookitaki, which now enables the company’s advanced compliance, anti-fraud, and anti-money laundering (AML) capabilities, setting an international benchmark for sustainable compliance. The company is headquartered in Singapore, with regional offices in London, Paris, Shanghai, New York, Dubai, Nairobi, Arizona, and Barcelona.

## Thunes Reviews
  ### 1. Thunes Integration Makes Top-Ups Effortless and Highly Efficient

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** abdul waseem a. | Payment operations manager, Banking, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Thunes?**

The Thunes integration is one of the most efficient processors, especially when there’s a top-up requirement. It moves funds into the holding and usable balance effortlessly, making the overall flow smooth and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Thunes?**

The part where we process payments and receive confirmation that the funds have moved, along with the reference numbers, seems to have an issue with duplications. This sometimes leads to errors and confusion.

**What problems is Thunes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thunes is one of the major processors we use in Hubpay. It helps us handle transactions in non-tradable currencies, with exchange rates applied automatically in line with global markets. In short, it supports us in meeting requirements in smaller Middle East countries as well as South African countries.

  ### 2. My experience with Thunes.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohit S. | Founding Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Thunes?**

Thunes really stands out for making cross-border payments so much easier. I mean, if you've ever tried to send money internationally, you know it can be a hassle. With Thunes, it feels like they genuinely understand those pain points. The interface is pretty straightforward, so you don’t need to be a tech expert to figure it out.

**What do you dislike about Thunes?**

The fee structure isn’t always clear—sometimes it feels like I’m hit with unexpected costs when I’m just trying to send money. And while most transactions go through pretty smoothly, there are times when I’ve had to wait longer than I’d like, especially for international transfers.

**What problems is Thunes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thunes really makes a difference for businesses in a few key ways. First, it cuts down on the costs of sending money across borders, which is a big deal for companies that work globally. Saving on fees means more money can be reinvested in growth or passed on to customers. Then there’s the speed factor. Imagine needing to pay a supplier urgently or getting money to a partner in another country—Thunes helps make those transfers almost instant. That can be a game changer when timing is everything.

  ### 3. Dependable Global Payment Processor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Thunes?**

Thunes is an incredibly dependable payment processor. The UI is straightforward and detailed reports are available daily. At our peak, we processed over 300k transactions each month with minimal discrepancies.

**What do you dislike about Thunes?**

Customer support is available but not very helpful. There offices are based in Asia so the Time Difference was slightly inconvenient.

**What problems is Thunes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our beneficiaries are located all over the world and Thunes gets them paid fast with minimal difficulty.
