## Thunderbird Reviews
  ### 1. Free email client

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tracy S. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

This program offers the multiple management of different electronic mail accounts and for free.
I like the option you have to preview the mail without having to open it completely.
You can also see the subject of the mail clearly without being cut. The images of the mail are seen correctly not like Gmail that often removes them.
You can receive the electronic mail in real time without having to update the inbox.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

In order to use the calendar and the tasks you need to install an extension. I think the program should provide these tools within the same program without having to install any other extension.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

I just recommend this program to anyone looking for alternatives to the typical mail client. This will please you, it's free and very easy to set up. Try it.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this program to manage email but also as an agenda and as a management of tasks since it has the extension that offers these extra features. You have all the needs in one program.
My company manages different emails and the program allows us to manage it much more quickly.

  ### 2. A good email manager

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Albert C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

The best thing for me is being able to have multiple email accounts in a single program. It is very useful if you have a company with many accounts or simply want to have all your personal accounts in one place. It is free and a good alternative to Outlook.
You can manage your email accounts with labels, colors, folders, etc. to better organize your mail, as well as choose what type of notifications and alerts you want to receive.
Additionally, with the mobile app, I have the possibility to receive all the emails sent to me wherever and whenever I need.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

If you manage many accounts with many emails, it tends to go slow. The design of the program could be more modern. It feels like Gmail or Outlook is more widespread than Thunderbird. The mobile phone application (Android in my case) could be smoother and a bit easier to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

Recommended if you have to manage many email accounts, and you want to have them in the same inbox of the program.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a company with many email accounts, and this program makes it much easier for me to have all the accounts in the same window, saving me a lot of time.

  ### 3. Free alternative to manage your email

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patricia X. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

It is a great program to manage both personal and work email. It has a very simple and simple interface to use.
What I liked most is to be able to add multiple emails and that you do not have to configure it, just add the email and the password and the program does everything for you.
It allows you to manage mail in folders and tags with the name you want, without any of its defaults.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

The interface of the program is a bit old-fashioned. It would be nicer if you were upgraded a bit.
To clear an account is very difficult and you have to look very well to find it. They could change this feature a bit and make it easier for users.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

I recommend it to all those who need to administer their email and they need a free alternative that works well. I recommend it to all those who need to administer their email and they need a free alternative that works well.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to manage the company mail. Being a free program is an alternative to take into account because the outlook is expensive and not so efficient.

  ### 4. Good to manage emails

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Thunderbird is a good email manager, it is easy to configure and very efficient. It does not consume many system resources and that is important when you work with many programs at the same time. It alerts you instantly when you have an email. It's great.
It allows to classify the email by folders and labels and you can add more accounts if you want.
Its interface is quite intuitive and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

What I do not like about this program is that it costs a lot to change the configuration parameters or delete the account. It is a bit farfetched.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

It's a free option you have to keep in mind as an alternative of Outlook. It is great for small and large companies because it offers a variety of possibilities. You can add as many email accounts as you need and allow you to compress or expand the account information as needed.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to manage the email mainly. It is much easier to use than the one used by many hosting services.
It allows synchronization with your calendar and warns you of the events you have.

  ### 5. Good software to manage your email accounts

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

The simplicity of the UI to do it's job. You add the account, the password and that's it. You do not have to configure anything else because the program does it all for you.
You also can use Thunderbird as an agenda because it has a calendar to manage all your appointments.
It's very fast to load at first, it's true that sometimes it takes a lot but you can change the reload timer.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

Sometimes it takes a lot of time to receve the emails, it may be that you have a timer that only reloads the emails every so often.
The interface of the application could be modernized a bit because it seems a bit old-fashioned and somewhat simple.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

I recommend it to all those who need a program to manage the mail and who do not want to use Outlook. It is much easier to use, the accounts are much more visual than the other programs.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to manage the email of my company that I have. It is more comfortable to use Thunderbird than the email manager that provides the server of my web.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angel F. | R&D Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Thunderbird is a great email manager, user friendly and powerful.

I really like the interface of the application, it helps the user to do most of the job without too many clicks and gives the users a lot of visual feedback to know the emails status and their relationships between a emails thread.

The options to manage multiple accounts within the application are straightforward.

Thunderbird has also a lot of great plugins which can be installed easily to boost its functionalities, helping users to connect Thunderbird seamlessly with other software products used in the daily work.

Another good aspect of Thunderbird is its resources consumption level, which is really low in comparison which other similar products.

The options to organize the mails using a folder structure and tags are really useful to find easily those old mails you need to recover for some reason.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

Sometimes Thunderbird consumes a lot of disk space keeping physical offline copies of all the emails you get on your inbox.

The search functionaly is good but doesn't feel to be perfect.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

Thunderbird is a powerful tool for mail management which offers a lot of great functionalities for free.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thunderbird helps users to manage and organize the mail reducing the time used for that purpose and in a less chaotic way.

  ### 8. The best desktop mail client IMHO

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Thunderbird may be the client of choice for those who want reliability and time-tested staying power and full of future potential. It’s free to use indefinitely.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

To be honest Gmail’s spam filtering is the best available at the moment, so if you want to give yourself the pleasure of email with the least amount of garbage try filtering it through Gmail first.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thunderbird let you use IMAP, which is perfect for syncing between computers, while others force you to use POP access. POP-only providers will leave you pulling your hair out to come up with a good syncing solution (e.g. a Dropbox sync or portable Thunderbird).

  ### 9. We have this email software on all our computers and it works very well

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah W. | Print Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

There are colours and flags you can set up on Thunderbird, so we can all see if we have dealt with an email yet. We all choose a different colour and we use this to assign messages.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

Sometimes the sort order gets forgotten, so newer emails are at the bottom instead of the top.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

The preview window is useful as you can read an email without having to open it in a new tab.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Thunderbird on all our computers so we can read the company email account with messages from customers. We all share the same inbox so we all know what we are doing.

Very few things dislike Thunderbird, the activity that makes its structured design, allows me to manage my work time

  ### 11. Organize your mail

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hugo F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

It has a calendar where you can organize your upcoming events very easily. You can add numerous plugins to get more out of the program. You can save emails on your own computer and in the cloud. Another thing I like is that you can organize your emails into folders created by yourself to always know where everything is.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

In general, it seems to me that it fulfills its function, but sometimes the program freezes and needs to be restarted. It also takes time to load and runs slightly slow. The interface meets expectations but could improve visually and be more modernized.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

Free recommendation that fully meets your expectations.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With this free tool, organize your email very easily and effectively as it features a very clear interface with a low learning curve, you will learn to control the program in very little time. Communication between coworkers and clients.

  ### 12. A good application to access your emails

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Damian F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

You can manage your emails, chat with more members of this software, join newsgroups and also channels, add addresses and tags, and manage the amount of emails that enter your inbox.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

It constantly consumes RAM due to its continuous operation for receiving emails and other features that Thunderbird includes, such as messaging and more sections.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

I recommend using the application primarily to manage your emails, also adding secondary options such as having conversations or joining news groups and options that allow greater knowledge of current events and ways of entertainment completely free.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this client in our company for managing our business emails and organizing them efficiently with this program. Additionally, it is open-source and has plugins to customize the application as each employee wishes. Moreover, we have great trust in the security it offers us.

  ### 13. Free alternative.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** German M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

It is a great alternative to Outlook. It allows you to categorize all your emails, making organization and clarity in your emails easier. Additionally, it is very easy to set up initially, you just need to enter your email and password and that's it. It is worth mentioning that it is free.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

The interface is a bit ugly, the truth is it looks older than it actually is. They could modernize the appearance a bit. Not all emails are easy to configure; if you have a corporate one, you will have to add the configuration parameters provided by the server or host.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

If you want a much easier alternative to set up than Outlook, free and that will make your life easier, choose Thunderbird. A good software that won't give you connection errors, it will help you in your email management. You will just need to have the patience to set them all up.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to manage email in my daily life, both at work and in my personal life. It is a good tool that allows you to host multiple emails and keep you informed and organized. I highly recommend it, really. It is good software.

  ### 14. Access your emails

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Thunderbird is a great application that allows you to access and manage your emails through its application by simply accessing with your email and password. It also features chats and quick tagging and filtering of information to perform more specific searches.

Additionally, this software is completely free and you can download it simply by accessing its official website without the need to pay.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

It reminds me a lot of the look that Mozilla Firefox used for its email interface. Copying and attaching emails as attachments is not as easy in Thunderbird as it is in Outlook.

It needs add-ons for the calendar and many other features. The add-ons can take a long time to load, creating delays, slower loading times, etc.

Although I haven't seen many improvements lately, I see it as a somewhat abandoned project that has a lot of potential.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

Thunderbird is preferred by many tech experts for several reasons, including that it is an open-source project, which allows anyone to inspect and improve the codebase. That said, you can tinker with the program itself or simply use it and try it out since it is free and you won't lose anything by trying it.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to Thunderbird, when I have needed to access my emails, since I have more than one, I have simply accessed them from there. Additionally, it is an easier and simpler way to organize yourself if you are part of a business group and need to be quick in what you do.

  ### 15. Great Email Application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alanna G. | Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Thunderbird allowed me to organize my personal and various work emails in one place. Thunderbird has made it easy for me to toggle between accounts, making my email experience much for efficient.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

Thunderbird could improve default settings with relation to spacing, font style, etc. Sometimes that can get a bit wonky, which requires extra time to correct. Setting navigation could be a bit more transparent as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

Thunderbird is a great asset if you're managing several email accounts. It saves time and energy when accounts can be found in one place. It does a great job at filtering/monitoring spam as well. That's a huge bonus for us and one of the reasons we love it.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thunderbird has made quickened our response time, allowing us to address our audience and customers at a much faster rate. We are able to increase our output with the use of this email application.

  ### 16. Do the work perfectly, but it is starting to become outdated.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Being able to create very smart filters to sort all my emails into appropriate folders AND have it downloaded regionally if I wanted to on my laptop. You can no longer add the best email invoices that are not public, but also passionate advocates of commercial invoices who develop plugins, and a seamless integration with Zoho and Gmail or Google for businesses. Manage multiple debts. I can easily organize my emails and folders.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

Appointment emails are available in duplicate. Sometimes it opens twice and occasionally its GUI buttons to minimize, maximize, and close cannot be clicked, which may be issues with Windows 10. Errors, slowness, sometimes it remains frozen, sometimes not. Longer painting belongings, you have to be careful with updates that may provide out-of-place information. I don't like receiving unsolicited mail. The functionality is not local to the product.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

Some email providers can help you access your mail through POP3 instead of IMAP, so it is not always retained on their servers. It has excellent protection capabilities and is open source, so it does not rely on a single company. Thunderbird is a great program if you are looking for an email client to install, simply undeniable. Thunderbird Ninite is a nice way to do it quickly, though.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just like with email, I love having a combined view of every non-commercial and commercial business activity. I had to find a solution for my business and personal emails, I manage numerous private and business accounts, everything is clear and, in a more effective area, it no longer even includes sophisticated spam messages that eliminate most of the spam. larger amount of email.

  ### 18. Best mail client for many handles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noach L. | Composer/Multidisciplinary Artist, Music, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Very easy to organize emails with multiple addresses. The interface is clean and clear. The program is 100% free open-source and updates are available frequently. Themes are also available to personalize the interface. Easy to personalize writing styles as well (fonts, colors, custom spell-check dictionary, etc.).

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

Sometimes slightly difficult to set up mail account for some domains. Usually it is easy enough to find setup help, but can be time consuming. Independent domains are the real challenge (such as addresses from a personal website). Accounts from large domains such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail are easy to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

This is the best bet for free, universal, easy to use software for managing lots of email within lots of accounts. Accounts are clearly divided and subcategories within them are possible as well. It is also possible to add RSS feeds and other non-email accounts within the same interface.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to organize larger email quantity. Much less likely to lose track of email or mix emails up, or to waste time with many different separate webmail interfaces. Also very easy to select reply-all, Cc, Bcc, etc. All-in-all just a much more efficient and effective email environment.

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Ease of use and account setup. Stable and fast connections with mail servers, good email organization, and a large supportive community. Highly recommended. It allows for very simple import and export, so there's no problem if you're coming from other software like Outlook.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

We can say that it is the perfect software for email management. Some might label it as less flashy or simpler in its functions, but precisely this is what makes Thunderbird what it is, practical and of quality.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

As a supervisor in the marketing area, I receive a lot of emails regarding differente campaigns every day. Thunderbird has the option of organizing your emails through different tab colors and I like this feature the most, since it allows me to categorize each email in different categories.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

It has a static interface, which limits your creativity when you want to organize your different tabs and windows in the platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

You might have to give a small induction about the product so that you can exploit all of its features

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows a secure and instant exchange of information between my clients and employees in the company. At the same time we have a software that allows a great capacity of information saved.

  ### 28. Extremely useful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

I have six e-mail accounts and some of them from different servers, so having them all in the same place saves me time and makes everything more efficient and fast. You can add not only personal e-mail accounts but also business accounts. Usually configuration is automatic but there is also a manual option. You can personalize some features such as notifications and templates.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

Interface could be less simple and an app version for mobile phones would be great.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

In conclusion, I definately recommend Thunderbird. When dealing with dozens of messages daily, having all accounts together, makes reading and answering e-mails a lot faster. In addition, you can have your personal and business e-mails together, but no mixed.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When you have accounts from different servers you have to open several web pages and it can be tedious and time-consuming. With thunderbird you have everything in one place and there are different filters if you need to find an specific message fast.

  ### 30. Mozilla Thunderbird - A relevant application to work with

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Thunderbird is fully featured, a secure and a very functional email application. The app lets the user handle the emails efficiently and easily. This Mozilla program filters away all the junk mails so easily that even a novice user has no issues to work with it.There are some views, filters, smart folders, tags, etc. which helps a user to manage different emails in Mozilla Thunderbird in a hassle-free way.
The application gets rid of the complete junk mail precisely from the user account. It even detects the scams too

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

As such I liked each and feature of the application, from the day I have started using it. There are just 1-2 minor things that need to be changed or optimized such as, the Mozilla Thunderbird RSS feed reader can be integrated better and it can also offer more power even. The Thunderbird application can be more helpful if one can do suggesting tags or reply text.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

As such, there isn't anything to be changed, according to me.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This Mozilla application offers a relevant and streamlined interface along with a very powerful email package. Not only is Thunderbird a secure email client; it even does not have sophisticated spam filter knock out most junk mail. Mozilla Thunderbird program even helps a user to organize and find the good and original emails.
It also provides flexible views, free-form tags, powerful filters and the virtual folders make it a snap to handle a very large amount of emails.

It meets your expectations very well, it doesn't have misleading ads every now and then, it's fast, good handling of emails.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

There is nothing that I dislike so far, at most it could be more customizable to your liking and make the interface more attractive. At first, it may seem like a program that is not very intuitive and difficult to understand, but you learn quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

You no longer have to worry about organizing your emails, comfortable, fast, and simple.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 33. Sad

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel P. | Auditoría y Planificación, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

it is, sadly, the best one for free. Its easy to use at first, but i think they could erase some options and leave only important things on front, then they can add options for those who cares... I think they have tried to make a software too heave for what some of us need... I need it to work easily and without too much work from me, not as if i would like to do nothing, but if could be that way i know i would love it.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

Thunderbird is a horrible software, old design, and without many of the things you need from this kind of stuff... It has troubles to update and mails are only purchase... I know it could be better knowing a lot about it, but its hard to be able to learn when what you see is not good... i would prefer to use a different software, but it is, sadly, the best one for free

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

take a time travel to 90's, i think it should be a little bit better (or much better)

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

getting multiple mails in one window, but its hard to update, i only use it for mails without importance. Main benefit is the fact is free, then you should go for what some people with more knowledge about this things care, probably the best one for programmers and guys like those. For me, a journalist trying to do my job, its sad...

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Regan M. | Digital Marketing Specialist, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Thunderbird is an easy application to use and install. It is compatible with white label business addresses, which is great for branding. Additionally, it has many defaults built-in to protect from viruses.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

The application is not as easily compatible with Apple products, although after going through the proper avenues to access the e-mail on the iPhone, there has not been any further issues. I would prefer it be compatible with Google Calendars, as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

Definitely, work with someone who is experienced in the software to help you ensure compatibility across different platforms you use.

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

This is a great tool I use to manage all my several mails accounts . I like all the options of filtering and the agenda !

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

I do not like the fact that I can't have a filtering rule for all my accounts.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

thunderbird is a free, easy, and fast solution to manage your emails !

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had to find a solution for my business and my private emails, I manage several private and business account, all is clear and in one place only. Also, Thunderbird filter the spam, and help me to range my folders. I synchronise my agendas with my google account an dcan knoxw set an appointment directly form my mail box. The fact is that now, i have no spam at all, the tool has deleted all the spams. There are a lot of usefull plugins and I can not tell wich is the best, I like some adresse recovering plugins, that helps me for doing my lists of personns I want to write. ### 42. Thunderbird - A Solid, Free Email Management Application

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason B. | Web Content Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Anytime I can save money by not having to buy something for the solution is an advantage in my mind. I think this is especially true for personal use and for individuals that are self-employed and trying to save on expenses wherever they can find the opportunity.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

Honestly, I've gotten spoiled by the features I've gotten used to as normal with an enterprise email application like Outlook. Because I've used Outlook for so long, it just makes it harder to make the transition.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

If you're wanting a good offline email client and would prefer to stay away from Microsoft products, this is probably one of your next choices.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Obvious business problem is providing an offline email solution for individuals to use when needed. For that capacity, this program works well, so the benefits my clients have enjoyed have been worthwhile for them and their needs.

  ### 43. Great Mailing software

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication with customers and handling invitations to meetings

  ### 44. Best Email Client Around

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan S. | Director of Education and Public Relations for North Dakota One Call, Public Safety, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

There are so many things that are awesome about Thunderbird. I was a hardcore Outlook user for a year. About 4 years ago I switched to Thunderbird based on some recommendations. It takes a little while to get used to it when coming from outlook. However, you'll find that the features and use of add-ons can make things much easier to use. The best part about it is that it's free!

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

I wish Thunderbird has meeting support. To explain, there are two meeting scenarios I Have issues with. I use Goto meeting frequently. Outlook has a great Goto Meeting plugin that makes integration easy between the two programs. That and scheduling a meeting with other people or when receiving a meeting invitation, the "Accept" and "Decline" don't seem to work correctly. When clicking accept, I've had it email back an entire recipient list (sometimes over 100 people) with my reply. So I have to say I haven't used that in a while because it becomes a pain when I have used it.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

Give it an honest try. Once you use it for a little while, you'll love it. It's easy to use and if you need help, there are a bunch of forums and other places to find answers.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email, calendar, and tasking. Thunderbird had great email client support and excellent calendar abilities.

  ### 45. Thunderbird: Make easy the email!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** José Domingo D. | Diseñador Web, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2017

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

The interface design for the user is the first thing that stands out from the Thunderbir, in addition to how simple and easy it is to use it, since you have everything at hand, very intuitive and certainly easy to configure with most mail servers regardless of the domain you use, it's definitely very powerful!

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

The only thing that I find as a disadvantage is the low compatibility with different formats of email addresses to be imported and used in Thunderbird.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

If you are looking for an email client, to manage your corporate emails, develop email campaigns for you or your customers, Thunderbird is the best option in the market, totally free, lightweight and has the support of Mozilla (the same developers of Firefox), this mail client also allows you to synchronize your calendar in a simple and very effective way, so you can keep your agenda up to date.

Undoubtedly Thunderbird is the best email client!

So do not think about it anymore and start enjoying the power of Thunderbird.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

According to the disposition of the clients, in paying or not to pay for an emailing campaign, Thunderbird turned out to be an excellent alternative of low cost, really it is not paid for the service of Thunderbird but if the clients must pay for the HTML design of the emails for your campaigns. In this way, with Thunderbir I was able to solve this point in my work for clients.

  ### 46. Is the best mail client

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

what I like the most is its power, its capacity of filters and its ease of use

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

sometimes your memory consumption is excessive

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

as mail manager for me is the definitive

  ### 47. Fast and reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John W. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

This email client runs very fast and reliable with 10k+ messages. I use the tag function to mark important / to-do messages so that I can find the message easily. Also the opened tab is preserved when the application is re-opened.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

It is perfect for my daily use. I cannot find anything disliked.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

It is free and open sourced. It performs better than Microsoft Outlook.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thunderbird manages my emails professionally and reliably. I don't need to worry about unexpected program exit like Microsoft outlook.

  ### 48. Thunderbird has given me a great alternative to Outlook

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenn L. | Digital Marketing Specialist and Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

I like that Thunderbird doesn't weigh down my computer the way that Outlook does. When I need a software to actually just check email, this is my favorite since it loads quicker than Chrome does on my computer as well to check from the web.
For personal use, I really like Thunderbird (even when I am using Office365 for work). It works very smoothly with my Gmail account and notifications aren't bulky and push to me quicker than they do on my phone.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

Functionality within Office 365 isn't complete. If your company works 100% within the Office365 environment, some key features may be missing in Thunderbird. The integration isn't seamless.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

Thunderbird is free and allows you to sync up your email from multiple accounts easily.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have to use my personal computer for work, so having this software allows me to use it while I can continually run other CPU heavy programs.

  ### 49. Best free tool to replace outlook

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pradeep B. | Senior Consultant, Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Its different. Though similar to outlook, it has a different user experience which makes it more fresh. I use MS outlook both on work as well as mobile, so am pretty bored of the same experience and the same tones in both. Thunderbird gives me a break from both of them

From a corporate usage perspective, costing means valuable financial resources. Money spent on software means less money spent on manpower. This is where Thunderbird chips in.

It allows to send emails and attachments upto 25mb, and infact even allows to attach emails in the exact way you'd do in an outlook. Its especially helpful in small companies where Gmail/yahoo is used as primary email and companies do not invest in a full fledged email server to provide a unique branded email id to its employees, and does not contain sensitive client information which should not be stored on the cloud servers.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

Copying and attaching mails as attachments isnt as smooth in THunderbrd as it is in Outlook. Formatting is needed to the text coming from Word/other Microsoft office products used with it.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

Keep improving your work. Add more features and keep it trademark Mozilla. I am completely in support of thundrbird for windows/

Hallelujah

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to manage multiple emails at one place, easy peasy. No need to run around here and there. Also, i can filter and search easily, and store emails offline when i do not have internet around.

  ### 50. One of the best Email clients equivalent to Outlook

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Thunderbird?**

Since the product comes from the likes of Mozilla, we can be sure that the product is solid.
The community and forum is a great source of help.

**What do you dislike about Thunderbird?**

The latest version that I am using on my Linux machine has some performance issue. Need to inspect the cause of the issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Thunderbird:**

If you are an outlook user, you might take to take decisison.

**What problems is Thunderbird solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can add multiple email accounts to manage all of them.
