  ### 1. You need a serious revamp to your customer service team.

**What do you like best about Thryv?**

Easy to setup and use. Easy to customize.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

Your customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with. They can't fix a problem to save their butts, and constantly asking for the same data (Screenshots) over and over to identify the problem, but never fix it.

Your accounting software is full of bugs, but your customer service team is NOT the right group of people to fix it. Your developers are... And they don't bother trying to fix the issues.

Let's not mention how your software is now blocking my ability to send out announcements because of a bounce rate? So because my clients have bad email addresses, I can't send messages to the clients that HAVE good email addresses?

We are seriously considering dumping your software for lack of support.

**What problems is Thryv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good question...
Wish I had an answer that would please you, but I don't.

I like the customizable CRM, but thats the extent of whats good with your software. After two years of using it, I'm thinking your CRM is fine, but considering moving to Quickbooks.

  ### 2. The Thryv/Keap Incodent

**What do you like best about Thryv?**

Thryv has recently acquired Keap.  While Keap has been a force in the small to medium business space, the merger has created some uncertainty.  Keap is still continuing on and remains it's functionally the same 'self' but as a developer, I'm seeing many ask what it's future holds.  But this merger creates greater stability for Keap and Thryv is working hard to make the pair a better service.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

It seems that the appreciation and attention to developer community has been a bit dialed down.  Developers, especially those that focus on integrations, only can make thryv/keap more useful and accessible to their customers and investing in the developer community can only help drive more sales.

**What problems is Thryv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I primarily focus on use of the api/rest as I'm a certified developer.  There needs to be exposure to the api for keap appointments and deals like there has been in the past for infusionsoft (keap max classic) opportunities and scheduled tasks.

The UI has improved significantly. I also like all the new tools they introduced, but the price is way too high compared other alternatives

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

Provide better pricing. The pricing model of paying per user license and contacts list limits

**Recommendations to others considering Thryv:**

Be mindful it's a lot to set up because it offers so much more than other CRMs. Pro tip: The Marketing Settings recommends to add DKIM to the records of the domain you'll be using to send marketing emails, but please contact your hosting company to help you set up an SPF record and possibly DMARC records, this will improve your email deliverability significantly!

**What problems is Thryv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The interface update for the My Day page looks good but has many issues that are affecting the sales people's performance. We're working with our account manager and tech support to get them to fix it.

I like the routine meetings that ensure everything is working properly. These meetings help me to make sure that all social media posts are going out properly and that emails are getting the correct responses. I also found the initial setup of Thryv to be really easy.

The domain email could be improved. It's not recognized as a secure site and it's always hard to get into.

**What do you like best about Thryv?**

What I like best about Keap is how it brings everything together in one place—CRM, email marketing, automation, and payments. The automation workflows are incredibly powerful yet easy to set up, which saves me hours each week. I especially appreciate how simple it is to track leads, follow up automatically, and move contacts through different pipelines without anything slipping through the cracks.

The integration between contact records and email sequences is seamless, so I can personalize communication at scale while still making each client feel valued. For a small business owner, the all-in-one approach means I don’t need to juggle five different tools it’s all right there in Keap.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

Keap is powerful, but the learning curve can feel steep at first—especially if you’re new to automation or CRMs. Some of the features are tucked away and take time to fully understand, so it can feel overwhelming until you get used to the system. The price point is also higher than some competitors, which may be tough for very small businesses or solopreneurs. That said, once you’re past the initial setup and training, it becomes much easier to use and the value starts to outweigh the challenges.

Keap has helped me solve the problem of managing leads and follow-ups without letting opportunities slip through the cracks. Before, I was juggling separate tools for CRM, email marketing, and payments, and it was easy to lose track. We have been using Keap for quite a long time, and it has delivered good results in generating and managing leads. It has also helped us keep track of our leads, many of whom eventually become clients. Additionally, Keap provides regular reminders to connect with our contacts.

Keap is a great app for managing contracts and appointments. However, there is room for improvement in its user experience, UI design, and security features.

Since acquiring Keap, Thryv has made some helpful upgrades to small functionalities within the email marketing and automations. Things are a bit more user-friendly and emails are more customizable. We've also found that more of our tech-stack integrates well with Keap now.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

This CRM needs to make it easier to acquire useful analytics to improve marketing and webpages. They began building some tools for a while, then abruptly removed them. Until there is support for easily running analytics reports from Thryv, I can't rate them higher.

I like that after moving under Thryv, everything feels a bit smoother. The CRM, emails, and automations still work the way I’m used to, but the platform feels more stable now. I also noticed the scheduling and invoicing tools blend in nicely, so it’s still simple to use like before, just a little more polished.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

One thing I noticed is that the pricing can feel a bit high, especially when you start needing extra features. That’s the only area I feel could be better.

I can do email marketing, lead generation, email templates automated campaigns, and more under one roof. Keap has saved me a lot of time in my work. Because I have automated email marketing through keap.

Guess they changed their name again. While they are still trying to find their selves regarding naming they have a solid understand of CRM and business operation software. Working at an organization that uses SalesForce, i miss the simplicity of Thryv.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

The company rebrands are the biggest area of improvement. The software has been solid for a while now but the organization still struggles with naming and branding. However, these shortcomings should do little to affect the average user.

**Recommendations to others considering Thryv:**

No matter the size of your organization if you are looking for a quality CRM at a good price with excellent customer service and room to scale as your business grows. Keap is a no-brainer because of its great pricing and an awesome team of customer support. They also give back and are constantly trying to make their platform better. The move from Infusionsoft to Keap is proof of how much the platform is continuously evolving for the better. Keap also integrates with almost everything and has a highly in-depth knowledge base so answers are always close by,

**What problems is Thryv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing your customer database, segmentation, custom feilds all work great with Keap. Other benefits such as a robust email marketing interface and powerful invoicing tools make business alot easier and more efficient with Keap. You can manage 100s or 1000s of customers using Keap and even automate some of your reoccurring tasks. Keap is also made to scale. With a price that fits most small businesses and the power to grow with your business Keap has solve many of the core functions of the business.

After 13 years of using it, I'm very familiar with it...until they change things.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

They keep making updates that don't help our company at all, and there are bugs all the time. When contacting their support team, you have to teach them how to do what it is you're trying to do that is broken and they ALWAYS have to escalate it to a higher support member and get back to you. They usually get back with "we found no bug can you explain it again?"

After being connected to infusion for 20+ years, it takes a lot to move your CRM, which we always thought was a  negative, but we've been contemplating staying being a higher negative.

Nothing. An absolute scam! RUN from this company. Conroy, Zachary signed me up for 3 months. They could not even correct the office number online. This was a total waste of money!

So my emails get bounced. 5% bounce rate. Really annoying when your paying $159 usd a month on an anual plan and the main feature of sending email doesn't work even properly. Let alone good. 
really unhappy with using keap. I've been on support 5 times to fix a couple issues with contacts getting sent the same email mutliple times. I've spent 2 hours on support and no one can fix the issue. since then, ive got spam complaints because i thought the support fixed the issue but people keep recieving the same emails.

Thryv from, the beginning has been super helpful! From when I first started to now, I have had so many things that Thryv has helped with. I love that I am able to have an account feature on my website and patients find it easy to use. It's easy scheduling and easy to manage. Everyone I have talked to in cusstomer service has been amazing. They are super helpful and I can use it any time I need to, which is pretty often.

I wish that it could have an inventory section to help with seeing what's being used per job (patient) and what needs to be restocked. I wish I could create some forms for patients to sign or something I can create to attach what was done with a patient (more detailed and easier to use other than adding an internal note). Also, I wish that I can request deposits or split the payment immediately for patient, to reduce cancelations and loss of profit.

Thryv Calendar has been useful for my insurance agency setting up and keeping track of appointments.  The notes feature has also been useful to keep information on our clients up to date.

Thryv customer service has been very slow to respond and address our concerns.  We have had our social campaign on pause for the last 4 months reaching out to the customer service staff for a solution without any resolve.  We also raised several concerns about our messaging and inbox feature with thryv throughout 2024 only to discover in January of 2025 that they released a new version of the software that addressed our concerns but was only immediately available to their newer clients.  We have been loyal customers since 2021 paying out bill on time while being allowed to operate with old outdated versions of thryv while newer customers who signed up 12 months ago got immediate access to features that we have been asking the customer service department for.

**What problems is Thryv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thryv is a crm that we use to compile a custoemr database with allowing us to enter notes on each clients accoutns for other users to pick up where the last contact left off.  Thryv is also allowing us to book appointments via its calendar function with out clients.

Even after paying substantially for training, it's complicated. So many features missing like ability to use emoji in message & subject line, and really get your communications reflecting your brand. We are paying a lot for KEAP monthly already, and them paying for extra add ons to external companies (such as gospiffy) to be able customise and brand certain aspects. Makes for an expensive monthly platform. Keap should provide much more in terms of personalisation for branding etc.

UPDATED: It was too expensive, too complicated, support was terrible, and after so many years I'm happy to have left.

What is most helpful about thryv to me is the convenience of being able to integrate it into my daily workflow. The ease of being able to communicate with potential clients and manage my calendar all in one place allows me to use thryv very frequently. Furhtermore, due to the simple UI it is easy to coach coworkers who are less familiar with the product, making it easy to implement. Not only that, the one time we had an issue their customer service team was more than helpful in resolving that. Overall, due to the sheer number of features, ability to use it for nearly every task I ask of it, and wonderfully simple UI which makes integrating it so easy, I would recommend Thryv to anyone.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

The only downside I have noticed about using Thryv, is that it had an issue where it would switch the addresses around to a different address for each of my clients when I would enter a new one. But after speaking to their IT department they shared with me that the bug has since been fixed.

Thryv is helping our company solve client management, appointment scheduling, and helping to control the workflow. It is allowing us to focus more on other areas like product fulfillment versus having to spend more time organizing our appointments.

Keap provides  a flexible and dynamic product that helps small businesses capitalize on marketing automation to remove the time-consuming tasks that we all have.  Because of the flexible nature - I used 2 seperate applications - one for my events company and one for my digital agency.  Since there are many redundant tasks and processes with events - booking speakers, reminders to speakers, attendees etc, I found that Keap helped me stay on track and on task so that I could focus on the really important stuff - like ticket sales.  As a past systems integrator with many years of marketing experience, I find Keap has the right balance of technical power and ease of use.  It has so many different versions now that there is a version for your business growth.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

System emails do not use the templates that I create and store elsewhere.  And the email builder need the option to send a text-only email.

**Recommendations to others considering Thryv:**

Take advantage of all the free training offered to clients - and if it seems overwhelming, work with a certified partner to get it up and running correctly.  This tool is way more powerful than it appears, but once it is up and running, you will have so much more free time.

**What problems is Thryv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of my companies - until recently - ran 14 live events per month.  We needed a dynamic system where;
•	Each attendee could bring up to 10 guests - 
•	We could market every week to previous ticket purchasers.
•	Track ongoing attendance to upsell repeat attendees to be a speaker 
•	Sell our membership subscription for those that became a speaker
•	Sell more franchises.  
•	And manage all of the speakers - applications, volunteers for all of these events.
I looked for a complete solution, and Keap ensured that we could keep our tech stack as small as possible.

Thryv software  is easy to use, Onboarding with the software was great with good communication from the team with attention to streamline the webpage in a fast paced timeline.  They worked to get the job completed.  There are also a lot of videos to show you how to do certain functions of the software.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

The downside of using Thryv is the fact that I have clients that need to be invoiced monthly.  I have to personally go into each account and make up an invoice every single month, which is very time consuming. My clients for the most part are billed the same amount every month.  Thryv does not allow you to do auto billing unless you subscribe to their merchant service account.  I have requested a change to this downside of the software, but the issue still has not been resolved.
Even though there are videos to show you how to use certain functions of the software, I feel they should provide a drop down to connect via telephone to support personnel to guide you through.

**What problems is Thryv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to have all customer information available and saved on the cloud so I don't have to worry about losing my information.

I like the pipelines, automations (custom and simple), email broadcasts, the email builder, and the way tagging/segment/audience creation works. It's easy to get going. Another nice thing about Keap is they value the end user's opinion. I've been engaged in UI/UX surveys and they've interviewed me about functionality I want on the platform as well.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

I do have some grievances with Keap:
1) The account managers (if you need to get ahold of them) are like trying to catch a ghost.
2) Custom data imports/logic/functions (if you are moving from a proprietary CRM) are almost paid at a steep additional fee. Map out what the import looks like on a trial before you dig in to be sure.
3) The way you can only search contacts and not companies (we work with dealerships and sometimes it's more important to see the dealer + 20-30 contacts under it/hard to get to that view).
4) Pipelines can only be assigned a dollar value or nothing. It would be more helpful for us to visualize the pipeline and opportunity with a contract or sales volume count.
5) Segmentation logic can be funky. Always double check your audiences manually. Sometimes excluding a tag or group doesn't work as intended and can lead to communications reaching the wrong contacts.

**What problems is Thryv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly email broadcasting for promotions and reminders, as well as sales pipelines + marketing automation.

Keap has many features that cover a number of our business processes. We bring leads into Keap, tag them, email them, sell our services and charge them through chekout forms.

We've had many problems, most of which unfortunately relate to payments. We have been exposed to our clients repeatedly due to Keap's bugs. We 've had problems such as repeat charges and multiple recurring payments that have resulted in losing many clients. These issues took such a long time to address that is simply not acceptable. Duplicate reurring payments are still being created randomly after nearly two years of reporting the issue and after countless man-hours wasted on our part. Keap is not a reliable platform. i would not recommend it to anyone and we will never use it again once we manage to set up an alternative CRM system.

We have moved away from using many different platforms for customer and lead management.

I was getting burned out from my business and everything I loved about what I do was overshadowed by the boring annoying tasks and reminders I had to do. The best thing about keap was everything from my marketing, to fullfillment to even employee communication was automated. The best thing about keap is how it gave me the freedom to do what I love and spend less time on the crap I hate.

Oh and you cant do better than the customer support team. The fact you can call in and speak to an actual human being for help is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

The ONLY thing I wished keap would improve on is the mobile app. The work around I found was just using the chrome and on my phone but still. The keap mobile app could use some work.

**What do you like best about Thryv?**

Keap is a robust product that reminds me a bit of learning how to use Microsoft Excel.  There is so much to learn that even when I have used it for years I discover more it can do.

The current upgrades were necessary to match what many competitors offer, so for me, being a long-time user of Infusionsoft, these were needed.

Customer support is critical to use the system and fortunately Keap has good support that will stay with you until your issues are resolved.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

I think the Ui and Ux are very lacking. It is built by technicians that understand how it works with the assumption that the user will be able to easily navigate and understand it. It is absolutely not intuitive. Even the documentation that is intended to be supportive is provided the way a technician would want to read it. It does NOT support the user the way the user needs to be supported to get efficient effective results quickly.

Users want pop-up instructions that walk us through the process where we can learn as we use the system. We do not want to read instructions any more than we want to read how to use our mobile phones.

Infussionsoft was nicknamed "confussionsoft" for this same issue. Keap has made improvements but continues to follow in line where Infusionsoft failed by presenting a system that is not intuitive and lacks immediate support for those who don't know how to use a system that is obvious internally but not to your clients. Even your own support team don't know how to use it.

What the Keap lacks is a test group of users to help them understand the user experience. This is a major mistake.

As a small business owner, having a cohesive process that allows me to access my clients, estimates, social platforms from one location has been a game changer. I am able to focus on growth and the communities in which we serve.

So far, I can't say there's a negative that I can pin point.

We haven't had a "homebase" (CRM) in which we could really get in touch with our clients and send blast emails that will notify our clients of specials and services we offer. 
Thryv has been a serious game changer. We are still in the middle of onboarding and getting all of our information pushed to Thryv and I couldn't be more excited. So far, we are very present on the internet on many different platforms, we have our much needed home base in which we are able to schedule, send estimates, let our clients know about upcoming events, specials etc. 
having 24/7 assistance is HUGE!! It's a breath of fresh air as a business owner; knowing we will have a relation to any issues (if) and when they may arise. We are now more organized and the processes we are putting in place are very simple for our foreman and team leads.

Having used Keap for about 15 years now, I know the program pretty well. It has so many great features that allow you to run your business in an all-in-one app. Infinite ways to segment your lists, seamless program delivery, good e-commerce tools and reporting. There are endless integration options with other tools out there if needed. Support is amazing and they consistently upgrade/improve to add new features or improve on the old ones.

A few of the areas have a little bit of a learning curve, but once you know the basics you can built out just about anything you can imagine. Price may be limiting for a new business.

I like that I can set up a marketing campaign and let it run on its own. It is fairly easy to upload lists of prospects and with a little practice, I have been able to work on setting up automations.

It is nearly impossible to do effective searches on tasks or to note them complete in bulk.
Setting up automations can be convoluted and if one step gets missed, it takes time to get things running again.
THe search function could be improved for clients - I want to be able to see who has opened emails, and that is not a search option.

Automated marketing drip campaigns have been very helpful for us as a new business.

I like the fact that so many features are in the same place. Our biggest challenege with using other softwares before thryv was the friction of having to integrate everything whereas now theres minimal integration with other software due to the fact that the base software offers everything needed. Very easy to apply to our business and easy to setup from the get go. We're already using it quite frequently and are continuing to add more features to our customer service with the aid of the customer support at Thryv.

Some of the features step on top of others but a little tweaking to these things and i think it wouldn't be a hard fix.

Keap allows us to automate the vast majority of our client and prospect communication. It's very helpful to be able to create campaigns one time that can be used repeatedly throughout a member workshop series and/or during our annual enrollment periods.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

Once you begin using Keap to automate aspects of your business, it feels that they take advantage of the fact that switching to a new system could be extremely time consuming. Their regular price increases are frustrating; and we no longer believe Keap is even remotely competitive in terms of pricing. Their tendency to "retire" features and to stop offering support for these aspects of the app is also troubling, as there appears to be zero recognition of the fact that business owners are building entire processes around features that are then removed. It's also important to recognize that Keap is quite complicated. You will likely need to enlist paid support to troubleshoot issues that inevitably arise.

The ability to automate a high percentage of our client and prospect communication. This allows for consistency, which is important both in terms of customer service and marketing.

Keap is great because it provides a good solution for our weekly newsletter and our automated email sequences. The automated sequences are really easy and straightforward to set up. Their customer support is also very helpful and has answered my questions thoroughly. It also looks like they have added even more customization options in their new email broadcast builder, which is nice.

**What do you dislike about Thryv?**

The Zapier integration is sometimes confusing and maybe I didn't set it up properly, but sometimes it does not tag the customer correctly when a certain action is performed. But again, this could be my fault and not theirs.

**What problems is Thryv solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One half of our business model involves customers that require automated email sequences. I am very happy with Keap's automation sequence builder, it is so easy to put together these sequences, and makes it very easy to follow up with leads at different stages of the sales funnel.
