  ### 3. Helping us sleep easy again!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2024

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

We've used ThreatLocker now for over 2 years. We primarily work with micro and small businesses who just expect us to take care of their cyber security and ThreatLocker is our standardised way of achieving this across our client base at a reasonable cost, and is easy to deploy and manage.

The implementation and continued support from Threatlocker has been great.

Using Zero Trust is something that helps us sleep easy, knowing ThreatLocker has been deployed, and we meet our clients expectations of managing their Cyber Security without just relying on detection tools.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

PSA Integration could be a lot more comprehensive

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rather than having to rely on 'detection' tools, using the concepts of Zero trust that Threatlocker allows us to implement easily, we can be confident that we are providing the protection our clients are looking for.

  ### 4. Great product that protects our users from themselves

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason P. | Service Delivery Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Threatlocker allows us to secure user's devices against potential threats and unauthorised installs of applications whilst also offering the ability to grant elevated access for installing updates. It was very easy to deploy to our customers through our RMM.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Threatlocker has a bit of a learning curve, however once I learnt the basics I was able to achieve our objectives.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Threatlocker has reduced support tickets massively as it's allowed us to stop unauthorized applications and potential malware being installed, users are now also able to update specific software instantly via elevated access without having to contact our helpdesk and wait for a response.

  ### 5. Best Zero Trust Solution

**Reviewed by:** Dan F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2024

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

ThreatLocker has the best customer service we have experienced. VERY fast to respond and assist with support request. Super knowledgeable and personable. Software is superfast and easy to use.
The price structure of their product is very accomodating as well.
All around great product and company to work with!

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Nothing unique to the software or company.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a zero trust environment. ThreatLocker enhances our cybersecurity posture by protecting our endpoints from unauthorized activity. The unified audit logs are also VERY handy to review in troubleshooting other software issues outside of ThreatLocker.

**Official Response from David Coovert:**

> Thank you for your review Dan!

  ### 6. Extra security layer for VPN connections

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julio B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2024

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

We are using Network Control as an extra security layer to RDP and VPN connections, so we can be sure only authorized equipment can gain access

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The downside could be the need to install an agent on the endpoint, but as the agent is thin is not a big problem

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unwanted RDP access

  ### 7. Seamless Process

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2024

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like ThreatLocker due to it is user friendly and easy to navigate and to implement. The support is amazing and very helpful. The zero trust module works greatly and is effective.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The downside in my opinion is that it did sometimes get glitches when performing some maintenance but then I reached out to support to get better guidance about the process.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefit of having end user not randomly download extensions or potential virus on endpoint devices, while still giving me the option to inspect it to test it before it could either get approved or denied.

  ### 8. Outstanding technology and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rees H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2024

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Our implementation of ThreatLocker has made us feel like we were taken care of, and that our company matters to ThreatLocker.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I can't see names next to host name on the computers section!

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So many of our employees download and try to run third-party applications without our consent. This will help since we are in the insurance industry.

**Official Response from David Coovert:**

> Thank you for your review, Rees!

  ### 9. Easy, seamless and super effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam P. | Cyber Security Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2023

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like the zero trust approach the best. Knowing that any new applications go through an approval phase gives me so much confidence that clients are safe from threats. Integrating Threatlocker was very easy and the customer support we have experienced has been pleasant and very useful.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The portal can sometimes take a long time to load, even when my internet speed is good.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Threatlocker is preventing users from allowing random applications access to their device when they are not needed for business use. This is saving me time and preventing more incidents occurring since deployment.

  ### 10. ThreatLocker: Streamlined Software and Elevation Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2023

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

As a Managed Services Provider (MSP), ThreatLocker reduces the effort required for us to securely administrate our clients, whether that's preventing distracting browser add-ons, blocking malicious downloads, auditing storage activities (ranging from "Where'd that folder go..." to employees offloading sensitive data on a personal USB drive), selectively elevating processes without having to set up dedicated service accounts or complicated NTFS permissions, and more. The agent is a straightforward install, and once you've gotten a few installs under your wing and know how to manage the policies, it's not uncommon to go days without touching anything.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The 2023 UI refresh was long overdue, and while ThreatLocker offers exceptional support, the fact remains it's a nuanced product that isn't readily approached. User education is paramount for both external and internal users. Come prepared for a learning curve to maximize your benefits and ease ongoing management. Integrations are limited and read-only.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatLocker prevents unauthorized the use of unauthorized software and functions, while allowing designated processes to be selectively elevated without conveying privilege to the user. This reduces our effort while enforcing policy-driven security.

  ### 11. Helping CyberSec professionals get a good 8 hours sleep.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2023

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

ThreatLocker is a thorough platform that enables an IT team to gain additional insight into the state of security across their infrastructure and take actions when required.

The bit I like most, is being able to land this system in our organisation with as little impact to users as possible. This software could be quite intrusive, and deemed to be a throttle on productivity. However through a mix of:

- Attentitive support team
- A well thought out and delivered onboarding process
- A well developed tool

ThreatLocker has landed well in our organisation, and continues to be respected as an essential tool.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

No clear roadmap for development, that being said i've never actually asked the Team to see one!

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primarily taken on board to enable security around external storage (USB devices etc).

Since then its grown into our whitelist of all software applications.

  ### 12. Best Security Software I have seen in awhile

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2024

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Ease of use and implementation. Many useful features and ability to control application use for groups or entire organization. Ability to limit and audit USB access and use.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I can't think of anything that I dislike about ThreatLocker.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatLocker has allowed us to stop unauthorized applications from being installed and used on our network. We have been able to stop outside USB drives from being used to bring files into the network or take files from the network, unless authorized.

  ### 13. Threatlocker is the only vendor I know which truly understands the multifaceted nature of zero trust

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2024

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

True default deny for applications, storage, and network. NAC allows me to microsegment a network from the cloud-based policy decision point. Truly revolutionary.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The fact that it's almost impossible to find something I don't like about ThreatLocker.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Application control. This allows me to prevent unauthorized remote access (solves a social engineering threat vector) and it prevents zero-day malware. Regardless of the lack of patch management. Small businesses struggle with that.

  ### 14. Great experience thus far

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt V. | IT Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

It's a powerful suite of products that was fairly overwhelming at first.

Adding several layers of protection to our security stack to make our environment that much more secure.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I wanted a puppy and they didn't have any to play with

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It blocks uses from running and installing programs that I don't want them to use

**Official Response from David Coovert:**

> Thank you for your review Eric!

  ### 16. Security Across the Board

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2023

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

ThreatLocker has been such an amazing partner to work with not only because of their product line features, but also because of their customer support. Being a provider and user of ThreatLocker has proven to be very beneficial in having the know-how efficiency when easily implementing Allowlisting, Ringfencing, and Network Control. Additionally, integrating these features into the daily flow of business is all the more easy with ThreatLocker's amazing support. Allowlisting is by far the most frequently utilized feature our clients take advantage of daily. Creating policies at both a per user scale and orgwide scale has been very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I am hoping in the future ThreatLocker will buildout features such as Elevation Control to have further custimizability.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatLocker is helping us solve problems in regard to endpoint security. Threatlocker protects us against ransomware, viruses, and malicous software.

  ### 17. Unmatched zero trust

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas A J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2024

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Zero days denied by default. Threatlocker is the only solution.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Sys admins don't get it. They want to continue doing things the old way. So those will continue to be the organizations that get hacked.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ransomware and sleepless nights.

**Official Response from David Coovert:**

> Thank you for your review, Thomas!

  ### 18. ThreatLocker

  ### 19. Powerful cyber security tool with world class support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2023

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The product is a very powerful tool, allowing us to let users run applications as admin if required without the user having full admin rights on the computer. This has solved a problem we have had for many years! My favourite feature is the whitelisting of what software can be ran following the principle of least privilege. We can do something as simple as blocking the calculator app, blocking users from reading or writing to USB drives, or blocking notepad from the accessing the internet.

Aside from the product itself, ThreatLocker support is amazing with frequent reviews and support sessions, access to quick support via their cyber hero team, of which everyone has been super knowledgeable and helpful whenever we have needed anything.

Integrating it was a breeze as we had Eoin hold our hands throughout the whole process, even when onboarding new clients to the platform we get a lot of help with that, making it easy to setup and reducing a roadblock.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

ThreatLocker is very powerful and so comes with it lots of options and configurability which is great, so while using it is simple it can be a bit overwhelming at times and sometimes you do need help but their cyber heroes are really good and respond very quickly. I had an issue once and their support screen recorded how he resolved it and sent it across to me for future knowledge.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preventing users from running programs that are not required for their job role, or are potentially malicious.

Restricting what certain applications have access to on the machine.

Blocking and restricting USB devices to users.

Allowing users to install approved software only.

  ### 20. Threatlocker is the next generation of Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2023

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Complete control. As an MSP, Threatlocker has taken our security stack to the next level. Application control, Elevation, Storage control and now recently we are adding Networking and evironment hardening with Configuration manager to the stack. We needed a product to give us better central control than RMM products offer and Threatlocker has delivered and beyond for our company. The University and support are also excellent.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The learning curve and initial noise of implementing the system brings some additonal work and training challenges. Threatlocker is a philosophy your techs need to adopt and this can be a struggle to overcome.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Threatlocker solves many problems for our clients. Application Elevation and auto-elevate rules are very useful for helpdesk workflow and applications like Quickbooks that need constant admin rights.App Control Ringfencing is helpful to prevent browser extensions and unwanted apps. Storage controls helps monitor file changes and block USB. Much more. Its become the centrer of our technical workflow.

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2024

The continued communication with the product expert and engineers

So far nothing. Everything I see have been impressive

  ### 22. ThreatLocker is amazing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connor G. | Senior IT Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The way we're able to lock certain applications down, and to allow more applications more open freely. Ease of use, and the customer support is great, they get back to you straight away!

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The integrations are a bit limited, I would like to get regular emails about reports of what is blocked through emails so we can have a look at that.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing end users with administrator rights to not install anything without our consent. This helps us stop malicous actions.

  ### 23. Zero-Trust Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hunter C. | System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2023

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

ThreatLocker provides our team with an easy-to-use zero-trust platform that has become an integral part of our security offering. Once you install ThreatLocker, you’ll have insight into what applications and files are being used on your endpoints. As you start securing devices, you have the option to allow or deny applications requested by users based on your company policy. ThreatLocker allows you and your team to move your company in a security-conscious direction by giving you the ability to monitor the software your users have access to.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The only negative we found with ThreatLocker is that it can be overwhelming when you first plug in the device and watch what happens with your endpoints. However, with 1000+ installations that their team works on, we are able to design around common applications and avoid getting into the learning phase of the tool

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatLocker allows you to standardize applications that you allow users to run locally. The tool allows users to request approved applications and gives you, as an administrator, the ability to determine whether these applications meet company guidelines or provide a safe environment.

  ### 24. Great security product for endpoints

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

Threatlocker's ability to learn applications and be able to allow certain functions to work (Powershell) while denying others.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The mac side needs time to catch up to the PC side.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

End user management in the fact that at sooner or later they'll try to install something or click a link and havoc is waiting just on the other side.

**Reviewed by:** Matt W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

It enables us to have control over what is being installed on our end user devices

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The only downside is it creates a bit more work for techs but this is a very small price to pay to have complete control over our own security

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing us to have control over installed applications and application updates so we know exactly what is being installed on our network

  ### 31. Its Okay

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teng V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The customer support is superb. I felt that this was what Amazon customer support was like circa 2010. They do a great job of walking you through their product when you need help and are very responsive.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The thing about ThreatLocker is the admin has to know what they're doing. If they don't it can be a major pain in the thorn for your team. So ask yourself, does my admin know what they're doing? If they don't, I would look for a more admin friendly platform.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sure people don't install the wrong or dubious software.

**Official Response from David Coovert:**

> Thank you for your review! We love to hear back from our partners. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the user experience, please let us know by submitting a feature request through the Cyber Hero Team or by contacting your account manager. Also, if you haven't already, please check out our live boot camps. These sessions will be able to answer any product questions and provide you with additional resources for your team!

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

This is a very indepth solution. I feel like Threatlocker should almost require that teams go through the Threatlocker University training before implementing it. That being said, training is available. Furthermore the team at Threatlocker is helpful, available, knowledgable and friendly.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Threatlocker has awesome solutions in place where you can spin up a secured instance, download the file to it to see what happens when the file runs and tinker around a bit. TL then analyzes what processes are being called on allowing you to make educated and informed decisions about your next step.

  ### 46. Very easy to manage application allow listing

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

The web portal makes managing allow lists very easy, and learning and install mode means you don't have to collect file hashes manually.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

At peek times, the website might be a bit sluggish, but it's understandable considering the amount of data available to you via the "unified audit" option. This also has improved a lot since ThreatLocker is constantly working on improving the performance.

  ### 48. Zero Trust done right

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

ThreatLocker has been a great tool to help minimize incidents. We were able to deploy it within one week of getting our credentials. We started with a small batch of computers. We only had a few minor hiccups, but after that, it was deployed company-wide.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

In order to use ThreatLocker, requires 1 or 2 trained users to handle the request (allow or deny). There are multiple programs that we run across that we are not familiar with that require us to research their purpose on a daily basis.

Need a second layer of protection aside from the Anti-Virus. Zero trust is not perfect, but it is definitely a big game changer. It has allowed us to focus on other areas of security.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2022

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Threatlocker's strength is really in the piece of mind of Zero Trust. There are hurdles to any security solution, but knowing that end users are locked down to an extent is very powerful.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

You really need to spend time with the product, before, during and after rolling it out. This is not a set it and forget it application. That being said, this is only a negative because of how busy I am

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Threatlocker was an early addition to our Cyber Security offering stack. IT is beyond the world of someone or something needing admin access to compromise a system or network. Threatlocker does exactly as advertised and protects the workstations.
