## ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform Reviews
  ### 1. Peace of Mind with Robust Whitelisting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like that ThreatLocker Platform stops anything I'm not allowing, which helps prevent unauthorized application running. It's valuable because it gives me peace of mind by catching everything I haven't approved, helping me sleep better. The setup was pretty easy, I'd give it a 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Honestly, the only thing I would change is to add an option to certain groups that would only receive application updates at a scheduled time. The updating of the database at a scheduled time would allow servers using shared storage time to update their databases without issue. If you have older storage this can be a problem.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ThreatLocker Platform acts as an MDR and EDR for us, preventing unauthorized applications and providing peace of mind by catching everything unapproved. It gives me confidence and helps me sleep knowing it stops the bad guys.

  ### 2. Essential App Control with Some Setup Challenges

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I use the ThreatLocker Platform for application and elevation control, which helps implement app control without needing a huge team. I like the 'Deny by Default' feature; it's great and complements our antivirus well. If the antivirus does not detect something, ThreatLocker will block it if there is no allowed app policy. This feature is beneficial as it helps catch things our antivirus might miss.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The elevation control granularity could be better. It would be nice if we could allow elevation for users by policy similar to app control. Today if you turn it on, all users are affected. This does not allow us to run parallel, making migration harder.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform for application and elevation control, helping us implement app control without a huge team. The 'Deny by Default' policy complements our antivirus by blocking undetected threats.

  ### 3. Strong Security Measures with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason J. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like that ThreatLocker Platform does what it says it will do, which is reassuring. I appreciate the great support; whenever we have questions, they are willing to help secure the environments we support. The security features are very handy for preventing users from accidentally running malicious code and for helping keep data from being exfiltrated with the policies they provide. Their support team is always willing to help our team.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The platform initially generated a bit more overhead of labor, particularly from requests from end users for upgrades, patches, and new software. It also required much more time to lock things down further beyond the initial easy setup.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform to secure over 700 devices with application, network, and configuration control, protecting our customers from threats by locking down systems and alerting us about potential issues.

  ### 4. Peace of Mind with Robust Application Control

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like ThreatLocker Platform for its application control and unified audit log. The application control helps in securing our environment by preventing unauthorized applications from running, making us feel secure that no sketchy executables can be downloaded. The unified audit log is great for reviewing what's running on the machine and is also useful during the general troubleshooting process for execution. It has saved us time and money.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Sometimes the beta portal or main portal go down but this is very rare. Some ways that global denies and policy order causes issues with known bad apps that share common libraries that known good apps use.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform to secure our clients with application control, reducing 99% of security incidents like malicious software. The unified audit log helps in reviewing processes and troubleshooting, saving us time and money.

  ### 5. Seamless Endpoint Security with Effortless Setup

I love how the ThreatLocker Platform makes locking down endpoints and ensuring only allowed applications can execute. It gives me back control and insights into what's happening in my environment, which is great. I really appreciate the great interface and clear access to configuration and policies. This level of control not only restores trust but also saves time, allowing my security teams to focus on other important work. Plus, the initial setup was amazingly simple—I love it!

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I think there's a need for more visibility in the European SMB market. They could improve by being more present at local community events.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform to lock down endpoints, ensuring only allowed apps execute. It gives back control and insights into my environment, restoring trust and saving time, allowing my security teams to focus on other important work.

  ### 7. Streamlined Application Control and Elevation Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like the ease of use and the single pane view of the ThreatLocker Platform, especially after replacing multiple other apps and products. It allows me to control all application allowlisting and elevation from a single platform and provides a unified audit for logging. The initial setup was very easy; I had it deployed to the Proof of Concept within a couple of hours.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I don't like the automatic groups within the platform. I would like the ability to automatically add devices to the correct groups in platform rather than by using the deployment methods.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform for application allow listing and elevation control, easily blocking apps by default and allowing approved ones. It replaced multiple apps, offering ease of use and a single pane view, allowing unified tracking and improved management of application permissions.

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I find that ThreatLocker Platform is easy to administer, which is a big plus for me since I've struggled with managing other software allow listing tools in the past. A standout feature is the built-in application signatures kept up to date by the ThreatLocker team; they really help with managing the software, especially by providing necessary updates on frequently updated software packages. The deployment of agents is also easy, which made the initial setup pretty smooth for me.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I have some trouble with some of the network control functions for Macs.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform for endpoint security and to protect against malware with micro segmentation. It's easy to administer, unlike other allow listing tools. The built-in application signatures are crucial for managing software as they ensure updates on often-updated software packages.

**Official Response from Ben Goodman:**

From an MSP perspective, it has been fantastic to have greater insight and control over our clients' endpoints.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Ever since ThreatLocker suffered a massive DDOS attack a few months ago, we have encountered several instances of being unable to access the normal dashboard or beta dashboard. It's has became more of a problem recently.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's our foundation of our security stack offerings for our clients.

  ### 10. Powerful Control, High Security, Needs Better Training

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like the vast control ThreatLocker Platform provides and how specific I can be in permitting sources. The storage control feature has been great for specific needs, allowing me to limit specific read and write actions for external storage devices. This control prevents the use of external drivers from being risky or always denied, which is crucial for our operations.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Training is very needed as, for example, missing the window to use install mode is very easy to do. The university doesn't offer hands-on use to get familiar, and that would help a lot more than just text.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform to manage application permissions across endpoints, reducing the risk of installing malicious apps. It gives me vast control over permissions, including specific storage needs, helping to safely use external storage devices.

The learning mode is really nice as well, it can learn in the hashes and paths of programs that may not be on the built-in list, making the implementation much easier.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Being able to set up my own default filter for the unified audit would be nice. And maybe some sort of learning mode for network control.

I like that the ThreatLocker Platform keeps us secure and protects all our customers. The Cyber Heroes feature is really valuable as they manage the allowing of applications and everything else efficiently. If something can't be determined for allowance, it's turned over to us, and the process works pretty well. The setup process for the platform was fairly easy, and the onboarding of customers was good. Once we got past the initial few months of implementing application control, everything was smooth.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Implementing the application control was a little bit troublesome at first, especially with the amount of computers we rolled it out to at one time. Other than that, everything was good after the initial few months.

I appreciate the ease of use and simplicity to deploy the ThreatLocker Platform. It provides great visibility and makes preventing problems simple and fast. I also find it particularly exciting due to its newest features, like zero trust cloud and zero trust network. It's my number one favorite component of my security stack for all it does.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The design methodology for keeping administrative groups clean works well for workstations but not servers. Users need to be removed from admin groups, even if they don't have another method for logging in, which isn't how it's currently designed.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform's user-friendly setup for policies really stands out, and it's great that end users can request install approval, which notifies admins via email and text. Approvals during this process only take a few minutes. The initial setup was also easy, thanks to the agents learning mode and the always ready assistance from ThreatLocker staff.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Nothing as of now. Everything has been great.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I'm still learning how to effectively use ThreatLocker. It would be nice if we could upload an application installer to ThreatLocker and add it to allowed applications so we don't have to manually approve every MSI, EXE, or all that the installer uses. The deployment to endpoints was easy, but the setup afterwards not so much.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatLocker Platform addresses our application security needs due to CJIS regulations. It's effective at blocking unwanted applications, and while the admin portal is easy to use, I'm still learning how to maximize its potential.

We did need to communicate well with our users, clearly outline the requirements of our regulations, and explain how Theeatlocker made it easier to meet them.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The application helps with application control and meeting compliance requirements for regulatory needs, while also making machines without administrative permissions more efficient to use.

The setup was very easy, thanks to the built-in rules and the ability to use monitoring mode, which lets us test rules before implementation.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The UI is a little dated. But it doesn’t impact core functionality.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform to lock down end clients and implement zero trust in our environment. It allows us to customize the product with prebuilt rules and create custom rules to prevent impacting user experience.

There is nothing we don't like.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With ThreatLocker Platform, we reduced costs by eliminating other security tools and centralized endpoint security. I love the ease of managing applications and the patch management feature, which keeps our third-party apps up to date. The deny feature alerts us to unauthorized installs.

  ### 29. Peace of Mind: Nothing new gets past Threatlocker

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Piece of mind that if software isn't allowed, its simply not going to get installed by users, admins or malicious actors alike.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

There is a management overhead to running this, its a heavier overhead than other security products in our stack. Especially as an MSP

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Complete control on unknown apps and processes running.

  ### 30. Impressive Security Features with Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

I appreciate that the ThreatLocker Platform is fairly easy to rollout, and the support team and proactive engineer sessions are awesome. The support, ease of use, and features of ThreatLocker Platform are so much better than what we used before. I also found the initial setup to be very easy.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

There are some bugs from time to time that can cause issues. We had an issue with network printers where the network control driver would intercept print traffic and cause large random wingdings when users tried to print. This caused quite a bit of wasted paper and user frustration.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ThreatLocker Platform prevents threats from entering any environment, allows 24/7 MDR, and enables content filtering at the device level from anywhere.

  ### 31. Secure and Efficient with Room for Streamlined Simplicity

I use ThreatLocker Platform to secure both our own systems and our client's systems, finding that it performs quickly and efficiently. I appreciate that there are rarely any outages or issues with the platform. I also like using the API to query data and integrate with our PSA, SuperOps, as it allows me to automate cross checks and ensure billing accuracy. The initial setup was easy for me, probably because I've used it before.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The current version is complex, looking forward to the next release.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform to secure our systems and client systems with Zero Trust. The API helps automate cross-checks and billing accuracy. It efficiently manages elevation control and privileged account management, performing quickly with minimal outages.

I really like the application control module and the level of granularity it offers in setting up policies. It's great to have the ability to elevate applications without needing to use an admin account, which is a huge benefit. Setting up the ThreatLocker Platform was really easy, and it helps us manage application access by allowing specific applications for certain users and elevating applications for IT admins.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Device groups could use some improvement. It would be nice to easily group devices based on departments or roles.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform for application whitelisting and elevation, which limits allowed applications without needing local admins. The application control module's granularity in policies and ability to elevate applications specific to IT admins are valuable.

  ### 33. Robust Endpoint Protection with Effortless Management!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

ThreatLocker Platform secures all endpoints for our MSP clients, preventing unauthorized app installations that could be infected. It works effectively, easing my worries.

  ### 34. Security - Safety - Cyber Heroes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The convenience of the Cyber Heroes and the GUI is intuitive and user friendly.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The "Blocked Items" from the client should look better, it looks outdated and over-complicated (and the info is not visually friendly).

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The availability of support is consistent and fast, it's getting better and better over time (and smarter).

  ### 35. Powerful Security with Setup Challenges

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher B. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I appreciate the 'deny by default' feature in the ThreatLocker Platform. It adds value by providing restrictions that protect against zero-day attacks, ensuring that by default, everything is blocked. This feature further protects clients by stopping apps from feeding on the land if an attacker gains entry.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The amount of admin and setup required. The deny by default takes work to get it right to allow the correct things. It's hard because we want to make sure we do everything we can to protect clients.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform to prevent unauthorized app interactions, such as Chrome to PowerShell. It offers 'deny by default' protection to further secure clients from zero-day attacks by blocking everything unless allowed.

  ### 36. Potential use of Thretlocker

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Irwin B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I love the ThreatLocker Platform; so far, it's great. People I've talked to who have been using it for years think it's a very good platform. The customer service is really easy to get in touch with, and they're very good at helping you out. They'll help you solve the problems you're having with the application.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

One of the biggest concerns I would have is a program that does Google-tier security instead of having multiple platforms which handle different aspects. It's like needing a second layer from the other architecture, like MFA, and having to authenticate access somewhere else.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think ThreatLocker Platform can enhance security for our hospital and clinics, even though we don't currently use it.

  ### 37. Zero Trust Security with Impeccable Support

I really appreciate the peace of mind that ThreatLocker Platform provides by ensuring ransomware doesn't sneak into our customers' networks. The 'deny by default' and zero trust policies are particularly valuable. I also like that ThreatLocker Platform has great support techs who really know their business, making any help I need efficient and effective. The application allow listing feature is another standout tool that I value. Plus, the initial setup was very easy, thanks to a great onboarding team.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I find it hard to keep up with new features and minor changes.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform for access control, network control, and system lockdown. I really like how it stops malicious programs from installing and lets us secure endpoints with a zero trust platform. The ease of use when it comes to creating, defining, and deploying policies is great. Storage control is really important for stopping ransomware in our environment. It's helpful that it allows us to deny everything and only allow what is needed for our company. Plus, the initial setup was very easy.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatLocker Platform almost acts as a virtual SOC team, monitoring and preventing threats without human intervention. Application controls prevent clients from installing unauthorized apps, enhancing security.

  ### 40. Peace of Mind with Robust Ransomware Defense

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason M.

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like the ease of finding what I'm looking for when I need it. I appreciate the allow listing feature as it is the bedrock of implementing a zero trust environment. It gives me peace of mind to know that if the software is not known, then it will not run.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I find it difficult to tie machine names to users. Installing via our InTune instance was slightly difficult. Moving from learning mode to secure mode is scary.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatLocker Platform prevents ransomware execution, even if it gets past our first line of defense. It also offers allow listing for zero trust security, ensuring only known software runs. Its ease of finding information quickly enhances efficiency.

  ### 43. Efficient Security with Swift Adaptability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I really appreciate the unified audit feature in the ThreatLocker Platform because it provides a single pane of glass view for what is being caught and reviewed. I also find the ease of use of the entire program and the speed at which changes can be implemented to be very beneficial. When I decide to push a change, it's ready to go normally within minutes, which is super handy in a constantly changing environment with threat actors and malicious items.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I haven't really run into any kind of issues at this time whenever it comes down to the functionality or the capabilities of the program. You know, maybe some more help modules that just kinda pop up as you're going through things. But, I mean, all the information is there and the knowledge base, so it just takes a little effort to find.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ThreatLocker Platform protects against shadow IT and prevents end users from running unsafe or unnecessary applications.

  ### 44. Peace of Mind with Strong Pre-Incident Protection

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like the peace of mind I get knowing users are being protected BEFORE an incident can occur. I’ve watched it block multiple processes that have no reason to be running in our environment. Even if not necessarily malicious, I’d rather not see anything unnecessary running.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

The UI isn’t the easiest to follow. It feels like there has been a large addition of modules and features but no real update to UI to make it easier for techs to navigate. I don’t seem to know where to find to get the latest info of changes either. There have been new things added or in testing that I was unaware of until ZTW.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Threatlocker is blocking network traffic that shouldn’t be occurring and we previously weren’t aware was happening. It’s letting us lock down our computers even more and stopping users from running programs they think are legitimate but were actually downloaded from scam sites.

  ### 45. Efficient Cybersecurity, With Some Setup Challenges

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zach S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I really appreciate the 'default deny' feature and the ease of building policies with ThreatLocker Platform. The consistency in behaviors between different modules is a big plus for me. Configuration management, application control, elevation control, network control, and storage control all have the same user interface, and the consistency in the behavior of policies, especially with the new flat hierarchy, makes it much easier to manage and understand.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I didn’t know about installation mode. That caused huge headaches with the initial deployment of secure mode. Also, while it was easy to deploy, policy work is an ongoing challenge.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform for the cybersecurity goal of locking down environments confidently and quickly.

  ### 46. Advanced Features Shine, But Bug Fixes Lag

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like that the ThreatLocker Platform offers a great management portal for multi-tenancy, which makes administration work much easier. I appreciate the amount of advanced features and customization it provides, especially how much is available via API, which allows us to build out features that aren’t provided by default, like hash importers and auto-domain blockers.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Their bug fix turnaround time is abysmal. We’ve had issues actively worked on for months with no solution.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ThreatLocker Platform for application whitelisting with WCF and elevation control. It makes multi-tenancy administration much easier. I love the advanced features, customization, and API availability, allowing my automations to build out features like hash importers and auto-domain blockers.

**What do you like best about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

I like how easy ThreatLocker Platform is to use and appreciate the app on my phone for rapid response. The support team is some of the best I've worked with, providing consistent support and great response times. The initial setup was very easy, and I love being able to secure a large number of endpoints quickly.

**What do you dislike about ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform?**

Web control could use some improvement. It would be nice if it started blocking subdomains rather than the whole page.

**What problems is ThreatLocker Zero Trust Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I secured close to two thousand endpoints within 6 months with ThreatLocker Platform. The app control and zero trust features, along with elevation control, help manage unnecessary local admins and simplify overall security management.
