While I can still use the Nebula console to manage my endpoints, with MDR I'm less worried about missing anything that might cause harm to our company. This started happening late 2023. Since we are a small/mid business, we don't have an MDM in place, most of our systems are desktops. This software really helps keep systems up to date and reports out-of-date systems. Not only does it patch the OS, it also patches Software. There are many things that I was amazed with. It helps with inventory. Knowing what each OS is running, what software is on the machine, what version of the software, knows what needs updated. Schedules. The fact that you can customize the schedule down to a 'T', is great. You can group systems with different policies for systems that need to stay online 24/7 vs end-user machines. The Portal. Very easy to use, and the layout is excellent. I use the portal frequently to see where our computer systems are if they're updated, pending restart, and what has been detected. The installation went well; there were only a few machines that I had to physically install the software on because they weren't on the domain. **What do you dislike about ThreatDown?** There's nothing that I dislike about ThreatDown. However, there are some features that I wish it had. (It might have these features, but I haven't found it). Asset management - A way to assign a computer to a user so there's a name with the machine. Network Inventory - A way to scan the network for known machines and report that they don't have Threatdown installed. (I think this would help find machines that were missed -- could find old and outdated machines) **What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's detecting malware and blocking it. It's keeping our systems safe. It really helps with inventory; I was able to pull the report and see serail numbers so I can make a list of old and outdated machine. This has been wonderful. ### 11. Before we were using standalone products which meant we had to run around quite often when a threat hit, we also had threats going unnoticed as standalone products did not report to us. Initial deployment was very straighforward and the deployment tool that meant a very small operational lift for my team had me sold. We also bought in to the Vulnerability and Patch Management as well as the DNS content filtering. At the time it was a way for a small non-profit organization like ours to leverage several budget lines to consolidate into a single product. **What do you dislike about ThreatDown?** Unfortunately, after the initial deployment and configuration honeymoon period wore off, we were surprised to find a significant lack of features in the products we had purchased. DNS content filtering has some ... interesting ... quirks that you need to navigate in order to use in environments with properly segmented networks. Ours is by no means perfect, but having a file server on a different subnet that a client means you can't get there without a global exception... which is obviously not idea for those clients you wish to segregate from said server but have now created a DNS exception for... Support has been an utter nightmare. Hilariously enough, i had just submitted a new support request not more than a few hours ago. In my initial message I supplied logs, and a detailed accounting of the steps i had taken, such as using the MB-Clean utility on the affected endpoint. A few replies later, i get "please run the MB-Clean utility" and i have to waste time recounting my initial message. This is unfortunately not the exception and quite often i am left to asking for support via the forums or searching on Google etc. Every time this happens I question how much longer ThreatDown will be our endpoint software of choice... **What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?** The sole purpose of this purchase was to cover compliance needs. When we were choosing an endpoint protection product to add to our service offering, there were several important factors that it had to include. These factors were dependeable security, The ease of management and training for new employees to manage the back end part of it, and a product that does not cause the operating system to slow down when installed. Additionally, we were specifically interested in DNS web filtering, which is not offered as an add-on by many vendors. Malwarebytes proved to be particularly desirable for us as it fulfilled all of these requirements. As an added bonus the implementation of the product is fast and easy with several differnet install options available and i have also found the customer support ticketing and account management to be very friendly. **What do you dislike about ThreatDown?** The only issue I have with Threatdown is that its reporting features are a bit basic. I would prefer to have a detailed report that shows the number of patches installed on each device for every client, as well as the number of updates, threats removed, and websites blocked. It would be great if this report could be customized and have a customer-facing format with a white-labeled logo. This way, we could send reports to our clients, showcasing the proactive measures we have taken since their onboarding. This will make our clients feel like they are getting a lot of value compared to just a standard antivirus. Currently, our clients are unable to see all the patching, updating, and behind-the-scenes response efforts, and a summarized report would provide them with peace of mind. **What problems is ThreatDown solving and how is that benefiting you?** Threatdown simplifies the management of endpoint security by removing the need for multiple applications. Malwarebytes is protecting against phishing links, general viruses, trojans, malware, and potentially unwanted programs. Unlike other vendors, Malwarebytes identifies potential threats without being over protective and blocking everything which i have seen with other products on the market.
