I was pleasantly surprised at the speed in which they got back with me on an issue I was having with a false\positive reading. They were able to walk me through a process to figure out what was going on and how to fix it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When removing an endpoint from the console, it removes it immediately. This part I like. The thing I dislike is that it takes up to 48 hours to remove the vulnerabilities that endpoint was generating. I would be great if the vulnerabilities from that endpoint were removed immediately as well! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how ThreatDown does patch management. Since we are a small/mid business, we don't have an MDM in place, most of our systems are desktops. This software really helps keep systems up to date and reports out-of-date systems.
Not only does it patch the OS, it also patches Software. There are many things that I was amazed with.
It helps with inventory. Knowing what each OS is running, what software is on the machine, what version of the software, knows what needs updated.
Schedules. The fact that you can customize the schedule down to a 'T', is great. You can group systems with different policies for systems that need to stay online 24/7 vs end-user machines.
The Portal. Very easy to use, and the layout is excellent. I use the portal frequently to see where our computer systems are if they're updated, pending restart, and what has been detected.
The installation went well; there were only a few machines that I had to physically install the software on because they weren't on the domain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's nothing that I dislike about ThreatDown. However, there are some features that I wish it had. (It might have these features, but I haven't found it).
Asset management - A way to assign a computer to a user so there's a name with the machine.
Network Inventory - A way to scan the network for known machines and report that they don't have Threatdown installed. (I think this would help find machines that were missed -- could find old and outdated machines) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a non-IT person, I appreciate the Threatdown folks so much! The support folks are always so polite, kind, and patient. That in itself is priceless. If I do not understand something, they have always been so kind to adjust and speak in language I can understand with clear instructions. We have been using Malwarebytes products for years with excellent results, pointed to them by local IT people. So glad for the Nebula product and MDR since we added a second office worker and have several computers sharing files on a server, etc. I can only imagine how much IT people must appreciate this product. It is amazing! It is easy to remove and add new work stations/ endpoints. It is very friendly to use and has so many features! Threatdown is such a blessing. Please keep it up, Threatdown staff! You are doing good things and are making a positive difference in the world! You are so loved. God knows who you are, each one of you. He loves you and is with you. May He bless you and yours abundantly and protect you all fiercely! Thank you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no issues we have encountered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ThreatDown is easy to use, seemless integration in our Atera monitoring platform, and does not disrupt our endusers, unless issues arise. Whenever issues arise, support is right there to quickly help us solve the problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, nothing really to note. We do have some random blocks that pop up, there is a log for them, but sometimes the information on each one is a tad vague. No hinderance to systems working, so not really worring about them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is simple to use and to implement and integrate to an API REST for example, efficient, and charge very litle the endpoint.
The actualization is continuous.
You have many useful add ons that help you, for example Vulnerability and Patch management.
The Customer support is very good and easy to contact them.
ThreatDown EDR works for you every time that the endpoint is on.
I use it every work day, and the Dashboard view is excellent to have a very good idea of the status, and what to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Till now in the case of cellular endpoint, it isn't clear if it is conected because the green bullet don't appera in the other cases this green appears when the endponit is conected Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Like most IT professionals I have used Malwarebytes for many years. It was always my go-to when I needed to clean a machine. I have even partnered with them to be a reseller. However it was always one of never the whole corperate solution. ThreatDown is the next logical step. As a managed Service Provider we are always looking to stay one jump ahead when it comes to security. That is why I have imbraced ThreatDown whole heartedly. It hase the Antivirus engine I've trusted and the management console tha5t will allow me to manage all my sites in one place. it has several levels to choose from so you can pick your poision. This allows you to pick which ever level is best for your client, That way you can build the security sheild best suited to your customers needs. This is very easily done. The addon system makes it easy for you as a salesman\security adviser to help your customer see the benefits of each level. The implementation is as easy as send ing an email or schediuling the install using your RMM service. The integration with your RMM is a normal process with easy step by step instructions. I have used this frequently and it has become an easy process. But if you need the Support they are just a ticket awy and you have your choice of a phone call or email contact. ThreatDown is new and being new it will learn as we travel togeather. So anything you're missing will be added in the future Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I started with ThreatDown a few years ago when it was still Nebula, largely because it was the only enterprise-grade EDR solution at the time which would allow for less than 10 licenses to be sold. I am decently technical, so I didn't need a large number of support contracts or a dedicated TAM, and I just wanted some of the best in real-time protection that didn't solely depend on "malware signatures" and manual scanning.
As ThreatDown, and now upgraded to a managed solution with more than 10 licenses (in total), the features that have since been added for near-real time (and rather non-invasive) monitoring of mobile devices and the monthly report are rather good touches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I did have a lot of trouble in setting up the DNS add-on feature, and ultimately ended up separting this to a competitor and having it removed when I changed my subscription to include mobile protection.
I'm also not sure if it was fully worth it to upgrade to the managed EDR solution in order to get the mobile protection, but without the managed solution, there appears to have been no path to provide me with mobile protection. At least, the monthly reports are nice, but since I do not operate an environment with 24/7 risk of ransomware or the like, it often looks a bit overkill. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use. There is a nice dashboard that shows you at a glance your current security status. You can easily see the detections, quarantine, and manage endpoints at a glance. Youc an see every computer at a glance, if they are on or off, which systems need to be scanned or need an agent updated, OS versions, and more. Trusted antimalware provider, lightweight, does not take a lot of resources to run, does not bog down systems. Works on Windows XP! And 7, 10, 11, and Mac. Easy to install and implement. When I login to the dashboard it tells me i have exceeded my seat count and that I'm 24 over my licenses, and yet on the same screen it says I've used 25/26 licenses. It's annoying. :) I also manage 4 different clients on ThreatDown, so I have to maintain 4 different MFA logins none of which are push-based, so I have to go into Authenticator myself for each to login. Threatdown is a great program to keep your system safe. I've been using malwarebytes for the past 15+ years and its just nonstop improvements from the beginning. This new ThreaDown is great with keeping our client's systems safe and clean, we get notifications upon anything found and quarantined so we can trust the active monitoring of this and very easy to control and maintain. Implementation was seemless, you almost can't even tell it's on there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't really found anything to dislike with ThreatDown yet, it is a fine program and really hits the mark. I guess if i had to find something to dislike it would be some of the potential "false positives" as we'll get an email that a file from 10+ years ago is all of a sudden a problem. The setup and installation are incredibly intuitive and easy to complete. I was able to set up an entire office of 50 systems within minutes, compared to the hours that other products take. The GUI is set up in a way that puts all the critical information right at your fingertips, so you feel like you have your finger on the pulse of the organization. The alerts are easy to read and understand, not to mention very quick. You are aware of any system that has been compromised in seconds, and the program is already taking the necessary steps to remediate the threat! I already highly recommend this to other MSPs that offer cybersecurity as part of their client offering! There are also multiple integrations with the major RMM/PSA tools that are used in the industry, so it eliminates one less location you need to review to identify client issues. Customer Support is flawless. They have been extremely helpful a couple of times when I required assistance, and they were extremely quick to respond. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I know that it is on their roadmap, but I would like to see more integrations into other MSP tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
