"User friendly platform - Create content and design easily"
4/5
What do you like best about Thought Industries?

A really easy to use platform. Course authoring is easy and there is an ample amount of page types to choose from. From an end-user perspective, the look and feel is great. Also works seamlessly with many external add-ons such as Rogo, Eduflow, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

I think there are many small things that Thought Industries need to fix or find solutions for. For example, you are not able to mix and match two different types of learning on one page unless you use HTML. I could be designing a course where a page includes flip cards and hot spots. In Thought Industries, I would need to create two different pages. Having said that I have found that they listen to feedback and are constantly making upgrades to the platform to fix issues that we users raise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Constantly evolving platform"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Thought Industries?

It's great that there are a plethora of resources available - particularly in the Academy and Knowledge Center. It's good to have the custom role feature available to give more flexibility to admins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

lt would be incredibly useful to increase visibility on the status of feedback after submitting to TI as well as visibility on other feedback requests (both internal and wider TI community). The ability to upvote would help make providing feedback a lot easier. It would be good to see more work on accessibility. It's a shame that custom role admins and anyone that's not a full admin cannot use the feedback feature, despite them using TI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Thought Industries?

We really love the panoramas in the LMS. We use them for all of our customers and find them to be tremendously helpful in building our business in the LMS. We found these portals to be above and beyond what we could find compared to competitors in the fact that the customers can build their own content as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

The limited video capabilities (cannot prevent individuals from fast-forwarding the video) and little attention that is given to panoramas has been the most difficult aspect of Thought Industries for us. In addition, the lack of direct course assignments with due dates has made things complicated, this is something that is automatically expected in a LMS, so not having it there causes us issues. Thank you for this! Very helpful to hear all of this to help us improve our product.

"For every step we take forward, it seems we have to take one step back"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Thought Industries?

The ability to webhook to our other platforms was not difficult to set up for our integrations person. We can also show our third-party exam in a learning path by doing an iFrame in ThoughtIndustries HTML content type which makes things pretty flexible when the other features draw short of what we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

As someone primarily focused on the live training side of the house, the assignments and grading are fairly limited. They all come into one big catch-all bucket and you have to sort through them to get to your class. With our scale, this becomes hard to manage very quickly.

The native exam tool is very limited on question types and options so we had to use a third-party for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Overall, satisfied with Thought Industries and the team but not without some hiccups."
4/5
What do you like best about Thought Industries?

The native course authoring tools in the platform are helpful for a small team. Additionally, the concept of "Panoramas" makes it easy to use Thought Industries for varying content needs. Everyone we have worked with at Thought Industries has been supportive and responsive which is appreciated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

There is no ability to track learners who have not completed assigned content which is incredibly painful. Additionally, we have lost hours of work due to finicky saving capabilities. We've been told these are on the roadmap to improve but have yet to see progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Mike Daecher of Thought Industries

Thank you for your feedback Emily! Please be sure you're communicating with your CSM so you can take advantage of our monthly product releases!

"Great Platform for B2B!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Thought Industries?

One of my favorite things about Thought Industries is how they continually update the platform and listen to customer feedback. Having used LMS platforms in the past that felt like they were built in the 90's and never updated again, Thought Industries really strives to maintain continuous improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

There are some limitations around assessments and user permissions that I would like to see enhanced. Weighted questions, and the ability to go back and review answers before submission are just a couple of things that I think would enhance the platform. I would like there to be more functionality for Panorama Admins - being able to self-serve in the setup of manager profiles for their Panorama or to bulk assign content would be a huge win. "Thoughts Industries is an exciting platform that gives us Front End Devs the power back!"
5/5
What do you like best about Thought Industries?

I loved that I was able to code into the platform and create interactives with relative ease. Most other LMS Platforms require me to get quite hacky to get things to work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

One thing though that could use some work I would say is the screen real estate of the UI. If it could be made more minimalistic, especially the top of the page, that would be perfect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Mike Daecher of Thought Industries

Thanks for your feedback! Go Front End Devs!! :-)

What do you like best about Thought Industries?

Course creation is very easy. There are a lot of features and integrations. The ability to have panoramas and sublicenses is perfect for separating content and customizing for our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

We experienced some growing pains in the onboarding and account management side - I know they are working hard to fix this. Thought Industries has grown substantially in the last few years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Mike Daecher of Thought Industries

Thanks for your review! We have been growing very quickly, which is a good problem to have. We've invested quite a bit in our internal Services team, which we consider a real differentiator to help our customers get value out of our platform fast.

"Gets the job done but could use improvement"
2/5
What do you like best about Thought Industries?

Thought Industries covers the basics of what you'd need to run an LMS. It integrates well with certain apps and gets the job done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

There's an apparent pretty severe lack of intent in the design... the navigation and UI just don't make sense in many cases and the logic in setting up and managing content flow & users is quite backwards... many things could be simplified and there's lots of room for improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Mike Daecher of Thought Industries

Thanks for your feedback Allan! Thought Industries is 100% focused on growth and scalability, so I'd encourage you to share this with your CSM (if you haven't already.) We want to earn the right to be your long term partner.

"Very Customer-Centric service"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Thought Industries?

The team is very responsive. If we reach out to support or ask for help of any kind, we hear back quickly and reach a resolution if needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thought Industries?

There are a couple of features that don't exist in the platform that would be helpful. However, we have a unique use case, and they are always willing to hear what features would be helpful to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
