## Thought Industries Reviews
  ### 1. Meets basic requirements, need to step up for advanced requirements

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

1. Simple easy to navigate Catalog for end-users
2. Copy content from one instance into another or within the same instance
3. Subscription access feature that is easy to fit into membership-based content access model and allows users to skip the checkout/purchase options for convenience.
4. Panorama feature that allows grouping/sub-grouping users based on access to various content, branding and customized experience.
5. Scorm Connect Paid Feature that allows access to content for external 3rd party LMS
6. Have handy tools for content builders and authors
7. Maintain more than one pricing on content based on custom attributes
8. Zoom and other online meeting tool integration for Live webinars

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

1. Have to pay for Live Chat Support, Email support can be a very long, confusing process to get answers. No Phone Support.
2. Assessments have a lot of limitations for organizations that have strict and complex use cases.
Example: A user cannot traverse back or review unanswered questions.
It does not support Use case-based questions/answers.
There is no setting to maintain a time interval between tests/assessments.
3. Sorting, Filtering or settings mandatory attributes for content for data integrity is tough since standard or custom fields cannot have any validation/mandate option.
Content does not have basic system fields and we always wonder who modified the content and when it was last modified.
Fields like Product SKU can also be not set to be mandated or unique.
4. Panorama reporting is very confusing for managers to track engagement for people who have had the previous Panorama or may have left for some time.
5. It was chaos, long, complex process when we had Data Migration done from prior LMS to TI and it always felt like the Team did not know how the platform worked and was learning as we asked questions or had issues. Data issues were never fixed and our customers were left with confusing, inaccurate engagement data and a lot of queries.
We ended up ignoring any data integrity issues we had during migration.
6. UI might be difficult for beginners or admins to be familiar with.
7. Once due to some incident on TI we started receiving data from another client via API which made us question the data security issue for us and other clients!!
8. Scorm Connect can result in many duplicate users and lot of manual work in merging/identifying and matching existing users.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Built various content types(webinars, on-demand webinars, courses, Learning Path), proving membership-based content access, and having organization hierarchy-based content access.

  ### 2. There is still a lot to learn

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The platform is easy to use but there are areas that need improving to increase the usability of the product. I like that there is a strong communication channel between us and TI, so any issues we face tend to get implemented making the experience a lot better.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

The platform comes across as still in progress and although the platform has gotten a lot better over the last few months I feel there is still a way to go. TI benefits greatly by listening to its customers and I feel the platform will get to the place it needs to be.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Get a demo.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A recent issue was with photos not displaying, this caused a lot of issues and delays within projects. The top benefit of TI is the Central Assets, this works well for us because if one asset needs updating it can be done from CAM and it updates in every location, saving time.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you for this! We are always listening to our customers, and using that feedback to improve our platform. We look forward to working with you to help you grow and scale your learning business!

  ### 3. Modern Look and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

We picked this platform based on it's attractive interface and ease of use. We really appreciate the native authoring tools too. We are able to make content in an easy way. I have been impressed with the response time from Support and the quarterly check-ins with our account manager.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Some design features could be made better for us, but I have noticed updates throughout the three years we have been clients. It is clear they are always thriving to improve and listen to their clients.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

This can be a pricier platform, but I think it is worth the cost, especially if you are not wanting to spend the time creating content with more time consuming authoring tools like Articulate etc.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to track all out content use in one place, as well as integrating with our CRM. It has also made the packaging of our content much more appealing.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you for your review. We appreciate the feedback!

  ### 4. Lots of potential with an unfortunate failure of the backend base system

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The ability to create and expand on-demand and e-learning content in Thought Industries has shown itself to be a great opportunity for our company. We enjoy the ability to develop this content.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

I really dislike the live event (ILT & VILT) system in Thought Industries as well as the lack of functionality due to how the back end was built. Working on Live events in the Thought industries is way harder than working on on-demand content. There are a lot of tedious steps and limitations based on dates. There are no time-based options. For example, we can't release content or sections in content at noon x number of days before a session starts. We can only send them at Midnight. The same goes for sending emails to learners. We can only send an email at midnight if we are trying to send a reminder based on the session date.

The Reporting hub really needs a refresh. You are very limited on the information you can pull based on what report you choose. For example, we could build a report with the First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and how many completion credits they have been given. We could get their email address OR their name, not both in the same report.

You won't be able to use list or grid view catalogs for any live events because the information it shows is just flat out wrong.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

The Sales reps will mislead you on how the platform works because they do not know how it functions. Find and reach out to a company that does use Thought Industries the way you are trying to use it and see if it is right for you.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have seen an increase of ability to market our on demand courses and an increase in our ability to provide a learner transcript for our learners. We also see a potential in decreasing our time creating courses but have not been able to do that yet

  ### 5. A robust customer education platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara V. | Manager, Customer Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

We recently purchased TI to build our customer-facing academy and use a panorama for internal training. We love the fact that we could create a customized landing page for the academy so clients and prospects can browse our catalog without necessarily creating an account. TI also has great reporting functionality created with Google looker, the premade reports and dashboards are very helpful for getting an overview of activity on the site.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

The multi-language functionality has some limitations (some parts of the system simply cannot be translated) and we wish it was easier to create translations of the landing page and catalog for example. While we love the idea of the panorama so content can easily be shared between our customer-facing and internal academies, the navigation between the panorama and the main academy can be very clunky at times and confuses our admins. Implementing SSO for the internal panorama also created a lot of friction for admins that needed to log in to provision content for the internal academy. Finally, it would be great if we could create separate badges and filters for the main academy and the internal panorama instead of them appearing in both.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-Create an elearning library to support our customers during onboarding as they begin their journey with Amilia
- Encourage new feature adoption
- Train our employees at scale

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you Sara! We really appreciate such detailed feedback!

  ### 6. Great concept with some hiccups and work to do

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

I like the overall look of the product and the courses once built seem to work very well. Once that is all set the user experience does seem to be overall a good one.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

I think the reporting is really frustrating to a point of almost wanting to give up. The reporting functionality has improved but I don't understand why we can't build one from scratch with all fields available. The pre-built ones you start within the Library are good but sometimes not what I am looking for and while I can edit them to get close some values are not available that are in other pre-built ones and that seems ridiculous or at least without reason.

Additionally, I think the managerial controls you can give to individuals within a panorama are a bit lacking. It seems that you either make them in control of too much or not enough. An example being, I want to give admins the ability to assign courses but not all of our courses. To do so I would need to build a tag with everything they need to assign. I do not want to limit the learners to just those courses though. I more so want to limit them from assigning a few premium courses we offer and others that are exclusive to other panoramas. Why can't I build a limiting tag where I restrict a few courses instead of having to build one that gives access?

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

I wish we had reviewed a bit more of the functionality of the product before moving forward. I like a lot of it in concept but do not think it meets our needs as it currently stands. The difference between concept and execution is pretty large and I am not sure how we can close it. There is a lot to like about this product and I do think there is more to uncover than we have, but I do think the items they limit like reporting make it hard to fully appreciate.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We offer courses and certifications to health systems across the country and the panorama function has been very valuable in giving the organizations more control over what they need their staff to complete.

  ### 7. Business LMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

I have no programming experience whatsoever, and TI makes it easy for someone like me to create classes and communicate with our learners.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

It would be great if there were more shopping cart features. Some orders are hard to track to buyers/learners, because TI doesn't ask for their names or email addresses. This has created big headaches and work for our admin. I also wish learners could toggle between their Panorama and the full catalog (like you can in Refined Data). And the attention tracking on webinars is completely non-existent, so we have had to create our own solutions that are time-consuming and burdensome, but we are working on moving webinars from one provider to another, and TI insists it will solve our problem.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I appreciate how easy it is to cancel a learner's registration, or move them to a different session, or swap their registration for someone else (because we get requests like those all the time).

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for the feedback! Please be sure you're communicating with your CSM so we can continue to support the growth and scale of your learning business.

  ### 8. Great LMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The modern look and feel of TI is my favorite. It is very user-friendly and intuitive to use. It allows for a variety of content types to be included. It is fairly easy for designers to build content as well.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

The user cannot update the My Learning list on the dashboard. So, if they click on any content just to explore, it remains on the list forever (which keeps growing). The different page types that are offered within a course should be allowed to be individual content types. For example, an html page should be a stand-alone content type for a quick microlearning. The "Microcourse" option is a good compromise, but it still is misleading in the description of the content when displayed in the catalog. Course content types should have more flexibility. Similar to learning paths, individual pages should have the ability to be marked elective so not every single page of a course must be completed to get credit. Finally, gamification options should not be at the panaroma level. We have different groups that use Thought Industries, and our method of earning badges must be generic to apply to them all. It would be great if those were customizable to each dashboard.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Among other things, my team uses TI to offer professional development to our L&D team. We offer a variety of topics and content types and allow individuals to pick and choose what areas they'd like to learn more about. The benefits include having visibility to the "extra" learning our folks do and the regular participation in events.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you for taking the time for such detailed feedback! I'll be sure to share with our team so we can continue to improve our product and customer support.

  ### 9. A platform with a lot of potential that can at times be frustrating to use.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

As a complete novice to LMS platforms and website building, TI is great for setting up the basics for our learning platform and for the most part it is a user-friendly experience.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

On the back end of TI, I find that it takes a long time to do things which could easily be batched/automated. Things like adding multiple users to a session manually or creating a group of workshops on different dates that different people can sign up to. At the moment, doing this takes a lot of manual and concentrated effort to achieve.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems that are being solved:
- We get to have a centralised place where it is easy to see all the available and upcoming workshops in the business
- The reporting is decent enough to see who has completed what and therefore we are able to give a comprehensive overview of learning engagement within the business
- We are able to house a breadth of relevant content to our users in a centralised location

  ### 10. Great content creation but a lot of issues.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The finished content that we can produce using Thought Industries is visually appealing and is laid out really well.
Sorting and finding content and assets is really easy using the tagging system.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Tags are case sensitive meaning 'module 1' and 'Module 1' are two different tags.
Changes to courses do not appear to students who have already accessed them making it difficult to fix issues in live courses.
Links to individual pages are not constant so changing the name of a course or a lesson can break all existing links to those pages (absolute pain during QA & QC process).
On interactive pages (slideshows, hotspots, etc.) screenreaders skip text blocks before the interactive elements making accessibility a nightmare (would not pass HE legal requirements currently).
No visible roadmap of what is being worked on or planned release schedule.
Updates often change the user experience without reasonable warning.
Serious security concerns - when copying a page I am given the option to copy to other Thought Industries customers other than the one I work for.
Lack of granularity in user roles makes it harder to give specific sets of permissions to users (cannot give access to CAM without making a user an admin).
No content-specific permissions levels - cannot give somebody access to edit only on one specific course.
Cannot manually re-size images added from CAM.
Cannot add images to some activity types from CAM.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Sort out naming and tagging conventions within your company well before building anything.
Do not use links between content pages as these break all the time.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating great content for a number of courses that are incredibly visually pleasing. The user experience of the students logging in and navigating their courses is great (providing they do not require the use of a screenreader).

  ### 11. A fantastic learner interface which will be even better with added functionality

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhinav S. | Lead Learning Technologist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The Thought Industries interface is clean, easy to navigate for learners and admins alike, and is well suited to bite-sized learning. It is easy to build courses on and offers a wide range of integrations with other tools

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

There are some features not available which I feel should be there as standard. For example, not being able to set submission deadlines for assessments and tests. Also the ability to group learners within cohorts.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learners being able to have more than one dashboard is especially useful for us as a learning provider. This means we are much less restricted in the way we offer and present our customer journey.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you Abhinav! We really appreciate your feedback!

  ### 12. Attentive to customer needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

Thought Industries is a comprehensive learning platform. The breadth of options allows us to customize courses based on our client needs. Outside of companies that just produce learning modules, TI stands above the field.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

A couple of the rich text menus could use some work - especially as they relate to answer choices (there are no bold or italic options) and aligning required questions (those with an asterisk) can be challenging. Some of the page widgets would benefit from a drag-and-drop feature and the Transcript needs an overhaul to make it more user-friendly for professionals looking to recertify.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Thought Industries is worth a look based on the LMS options they offer and the team of experts they employ.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thought Industries allows us to work in an all-in-one platform. We rarely need to use an outside survey company as TI has a learner notifications module. Same thing with reporting.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for your feedback! We'll be sure you share with out internal team so we can continue to improve every day.

  ### 13. This is a great platform for all of your customer education needs!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

I find the ease of use to be one of the best features; everything is easy to locate, and the platform notifies you of tips and tricks for better use. I especially like how simple it is to create coupons for customers.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Sometimes, looking at the user's information can be a bit confusing. I do not really understand the need for both an activity and engagement tab, as I have to go back and forth between the two, along with the other tabs, to try and get user information like when they started the learning path.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Thought Industries as a customer certification platform. Besides having the ability to view and manage all customers, I find the reporting hub very beneficial, because I am able to look at trends with my customers, especially ones that are going through the certification as a group.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for this! Really glad you're seeing the benefits from the Reporting Hub. It's a very powerful engine for business and learner insights.

  ### 14. Beautiful interface

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The Thought Industries platform allows just the right amount of customization; it does the heavy lifting to make sure your site is clean and usable. You can add your own logo, choose colors and select from several fonts.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

For our use case, we are finding some functional limitations. We are a training company that sells our training, and we are finding that creating multiple "Panoramas" or sub-sites works "OK", but the same user can't consume content from more than one sub-site, making that functionality essentially worthless for us.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

The program is being updated continuously, which is a great thing. However, it's still got some maturing left to do.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The learning paths were very valuable for us as we migrated from in-person to live-online training during COVID. While the platform serves our e-learning content beautifully, the learning paths also supported our live-online training very nicely.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you for your feedback! I'm really glad you're seeing the benefits of all the customization options in the TI platform. I'll also be sure to share your feedback internally, so we can continue to improve.

  ### 15. Excellent way to share collateral and info for your customers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

TI allows you a variety of ways to share information with your customers. From training guides to events to reference materials, there are so many ways for you to get info out to your intended audience. You can even monitor who has clicked into each item to better gauge how useful that material is.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

The only tricky thing about TI is that if you cannot seem to be able to go back and change the title or other fundamental details of the item you are adding. I have had to delete and start over in those cases. It would be nice if there was a way to easily go back and make edits to the entire item, rather than just certain components of it.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use TI to house and share our training materials and programs for external customers.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for this! Content distribution can be a real challenge, so we're very glad to see you're taking advantage of all the ways Thought Industries offers to get your content out to your intended audience.

  ### 16. A great platform.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy E. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

All of the opportunities to build new an different unique learning materials.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Wish it could offer all of the options the main instance within Panoramas our business model had to do a 180 to fit the limitations of the Pano's. Really looking forward to ISO certification to be able to work with some large customers requiring them.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Be very clear on your possible use cases, there are some limitations if using outside of one specific company. If you create education for many companies there are some limitations that will derail your plan.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A one stop shop for creating online learnings.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you Amy! We really appreciate the feedback!

  ### 17. Good, but needs a little more

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paola S. | Partner Success Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The course authoring is pretty good, but I wish it was a little more visual, perhaps you can add some more iconography? I say this because it feels a little outdated compared to other LMS platforms

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Rearranging the pages, lessons, etc
Not being to change the format of a course (ie. once created a SCORM to COURSE)
When changing the course name it is a little confusing

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are onboarding clients and basically showing them how to do full implementations. Additionally, we teach them best practices and set them all up for self serve with our courses

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you Paola! We really appreciate your feedback!

  ### 18. Solid B2C LMS

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justyna P. | Director, Learning Experience Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The best feature for us was "SCORM connect".

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Unfortunately, the platform is not optimized for our use case.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

If you are an e-commerce, or B2C vendor, this platform will probably work well for you. Go into your initial conversations with your onboarding team with a list of requirements/non-negotiables. This will enable the TI team to guide you in setting up the user experience you need for your target user.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems solved: how to provide customized org-specific learning materials all in one place while at the same time ensuring learner privacy.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks Justyna! Please share any specific concerns with your CSM (if you haven't already), so we can learn more about your use case and help you find the path to scale and growth.

  ### 19. Flexible LMS, great for building hybrid courses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bob B. | Sr. Instructional Designer and Sales Funnel Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The page templates make it quick and easy to build content pages. I love being able to import interactions that I build in Articulate Storyline into my courses.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

I would like to have additional interactive page templates to work with. I don't like that audio doesn't play automatically on pages. End of lesson page is clunky.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learning paths have been very useful to keep curriculum content well organized. Analytics content has also been very useful. These have improved customer business performance.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for this Bob! We really appreciate it!

  ### 20. Thought Industries has changed our entire business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

My favorite part about Thought Industries is that it is very user friendly for our learners. I have not heard complaints from users in over 90 countries. This is a huge win!

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

The thing I dislike most about Thought Industries is the lack of customizability. Sometimes it cannot do what we would like for the platform to do. Overall it is good though.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Make sure that you have someone help you set up your system. Do not try to do it on your own!

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are allowing our global team to utilize and impact lives through the programs we have been able to upload. We were able to overcome Covid setbacks using this platform. We are so grateful.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for your feedback! We love to see the business impact Thought Industries can have around the world1

  ### 21. Easy to use, support is helpful.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Veterinary | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The speed of their support responses, and the ease of building content. It's fairly easy to plug and play with their courses, articles, and blogs. The ecommerce and page design concepts are also user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

There are some functionalities (like their audio files that you cannot rewind) that need improvement and it takes a while to see these get improved upon after providing feedback. Given the overall cost of their platform, there should be more complimentary one-on-one training opportunities.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Think about your level of web design knowledge though since somewhat limited options.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding ways to make our content more engaging, and increase our learner count/learner views. Their business reviews have been helpful to increase our business performance.

  ### 22. Thought Industries

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle G. | Manager, Marketing & Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The ability to create multiple branded sites and the ease of creating courses natively within the platform.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

The inability to make content/course(s) required for a learner or see who has not started a particular course(s).

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Thought Industries is a wonderful tool for provisioning content/courses to multiple audiences for training that does not require a completion deadline.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to provision both compliance and continuing education content internally to employees. This has streamlined reporting for compliance audits.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for this! We really appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback!

  ### 23. Good student UX, but back end integrations can be a challenge

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

Content authoring is very intuitive and provides a more modern student experience. I appreciate they have an eay to use hierarchy established for use in building courses out.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

The integrations with Salesforce are a challenge and the standard assessments offered in the platform are not condusive to professional exam prep use cases. Salesforce integrations are being worked on, but they are still a ways away.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Be sure to clearly article your specific needs during the sales process and stick to them in rollout

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are currently investigating an increase in functionality for assessments, but these aren't formally a part of their product development roadmap to my knowledge.

  ### 24. Newly Rebranded Navigator - Helps train our Partners and Internal Teams

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

Thought Industries is a great platform for a company's intranet. We are able to upload and share valuable information in the form of classes and documents for our onboarding purposes.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Once a training is within the platform, it's difficult to get out and transition to other places. Sometimes role settings are hard and the features that we want aren't always there.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

It's a platform that works. We've also investigated Mindtickle and Highspot. This gets the job done for us.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a large company with lots of information that needs to be shared with new employees and partners. The newly rebranded Navigator helps us to organize the trainings into specific paths based on role.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you for your feedback! Please be sure you're communicating any specific needs around role settings with your CSM (if you haven't already), so we can help you grow and scale.

  ### 25. Super powerful platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

Course authoring is easy, and there are tons of options for page types and evaluation types, allowing for more creative and engaging educational content. I also love the Panorama option, which allows us to serve our clients (business owners) and give them some control over their staff's experience.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

I would sometimes describe parts of the platform as being "over-engineered". There are so many great features, but sometimes they can be difficult to use. For example, users with "manager"-level access needing to switch to their "learner" account in order to purchase additional items, or needing to create a new user account to purchase additional items. Reporting is very powerful, but difficult to navigate. Another feature we could use is automatically adding content to multiple Panorama accounts at once, or all Panorama accounts that are part of a certain subscription.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thought Industries solves our need for business owners to have control over their own staff, who are the ultimate consumers of our content. They can add/delete people, determine which courses they want their staff to access, and see how much time each of their users are spending on the content.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for taking the time for such a detailed review. It will definitely help us improve - -we really appreciate it!

  ### 26. User friendly and simple to view.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

you can search things you need easily. Creating content also is a breeze. there are templates that we can use.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

sometimes the images does not load pretty quickly. though it might be because of my connection. but other than that TI is really amazing

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

TI is user friendly. Their updates and imporvements proves to be always beneficial to users.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Im using TI in creating contents for our clients. All the users really do benefit and it is useful for them. easy to navigate. as for the content creation, it is more user firendly coz everything is there, we already have templated embedded. though there are still times that im struglling with html. hope there can be a built in html tutorial or help link for htmls.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you!

  ### 27. working with thought industries

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

We like how it can integrate with our webinar provider. Generally, the software is fairly intuitive to use and you can enter support cases from the application.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Customer support can be slow at times and often the reps seem unsure how to support us, there have been several times where we have simply been provided a random user guide instead of getting an actual response to our question. There have also been many times over the past year we had to escalate requests to executive contacts. It seems there is little accountability with development requests. We're often asked to submit feature request tickets, yet more often than not we receive no communication back on the timeline of when items will be reviewed or complete. There have also been several times where they failed to meet a deadline; in some cases executive contacts would say they would respond by X day, and days would pass without hearing a thing until we asked for an update.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to have a more appealing shopping cart for customers. TI has helped us streamline the registration process for when new courses are purchased. Course set up is generally easier in this platform compared to our last.

  ### 28. Thought Industries provides a robust offering that is configurable and customizable for many uses.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Machinery | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

Each "instance" can be customized for several user groups to each have its unique look and feel. The content authoring tool provides enough flexibility to create quick content while allowing for more detailed SCORM files to be uploaded to supplement the content.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

When blending courses and content for commercial customers and internal employees in a single instance, there are challenges in delivering that content without over-leveraging Panoramas.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

If you have a single, commercial use case, Thought Industries will be a fantastic resource for you and your team.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thought Industries has helped us manage and deliver certifications and training modules that were previously only available in-person and with substantial manual documentation.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you for this -- we really appreciate the feedback!

  ### 29. Thorough yet User-Friendly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The way it is set up allows the content creator to easily find and click on what's needed. It doesn't take much clicking around to figure out how to create and edit.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Sometimes it isn't super clear between the saving and publishing, whether the page/content is finalized. I also didn't find it easy to add a photo image to a table/adjust the table column sizing.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are allowing software users to become accustomed to our product on their own schedule and learn at their own pace. They are able to learn functions of our platform as new learners or come in to refresh their skills as needed.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you for taking the time for your review. This is great feedback -- we really appreciate it!

  ### 30. Powerful Learning Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shea S. | Senior Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The ability to have individual branded learning spaces and designated admins for each. The reporting is very powerful. Tech support by email is amazing. Useful updates are constantly being released.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

The cloud content editor is nice but is limited compared to some other authoring tools in creating responsive interactions. The quizzing function is very limited and there is not a test bank feature. There is a steep learning curve on some functions of the platform.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We create branded spaces (Panoramas) for our clients, who love the functionality of the dynamic catalog and find it effective for their end-users and internal employees. We host our custom training content for some clients on a subscription basis.

  ### 31. New Client - Switched from Adobe Connect Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Seth K. | VP Education & Consulting, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The team at TI is very engaged in customer success. Platform is robust

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Reporting and CPE tracking have been a big challenge for us

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Like any new platform there are things specific to each organization's use case, spending time upfront with the TI team will help minimize and avoid issues later.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilize TI for external education and training on highly technical topics.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for your feedback! We look forward to working with you to scale and grow your learning business!

  ### 32. A lot of great features for an LMS geared toward corporate training

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam V. | Director of Lindenwood Global Design Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The customizability of the platform is the strongest feature, allowing each user/ organization to create a platform that meets there needs.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Much of the customization happens in the CSS and there are times when the layout is frustrating.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed an SSO LMS for a series of certification courses. TI's platform allows for having all of the needed components in one place.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you Adam! We really appreciate your feedback, and will share this with our Product team.

  ### 33. Great content flexibility but lacking integrations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

We moved our customer training content from a standard video repository to Thought Industries and love the ability to create different types of content: video, slides, voice over, and more interactive content.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Integrations and measurement capabilities are lacking from a marketing perspective, with limited data pushback to our CRM and no direct hook-up to our MA tools.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We saw a lack of engagement with our customer training videos and wanted a platform that allowed us to create more engaging, varied content. Since bringing on Thought Industries, we've seen higher completion rate on our courses.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for your feedback! Please be sure you're communicating with your CSM as we have significant product improvements on the integration front coming very soon.

  ### 34. Thought Industries is Ever-Evolving

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tommy F. | LMS Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

TI is constantly working to improve their platform.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

My only complaint is that once pages are created in a section or lesson they can not be moved to a different section or lesson.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We migrated all of courses from Moodle. This has created a better experience for our students and our admins building content.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for the feedback Tommy! We really appreciate it!

  ### 35. Powerful Platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The TI Platform is user friendly. The tech support team is responsive. The office hours are an amazing resource. I highly recommend it. The training is comprehensive.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

I dislike the bugs and glitches. While tech support is responsive, the feedback is not always comprehensive. I end up having to ask multiple questions. I also don't like having to read articles to fix issues - I don't always have time for it.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solve the learning gap that we have between users and our instructor. She is unable to be present in person, so Thought Industries allows us to make education accessible and affordable.

  ### 36. Great CLM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Virgilio D. | Technical Instructor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

It is a very intuitive user interface. The options are very easy to find

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Some times the screen freezes when , for example , the students list is loading

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

It is one of the best learning tool I have used

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving public and private clases. Getting courses organized. Better graphical interface.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks Virgilio! We really appreciate you pointing out how intuitive the Thought Industries user interface is, especially for large, enterprise accounts like yours.

  ### 37. My Review of TI

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arus T. | LMS Operations Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

Easy course building not much more to say

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

cannot remove admin roles not much more to say

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Easy course building and although there is lack of back end investigation due to limitations of the product the customer service is top notch

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

fixing video issues which would be great

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you Arus -- we appreciate your feedback!

  ### 38. It is well designed to accommodate wide variety of contents.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

I think it is smart that they are not just a Learning platform, but it can also accommodate corporate/product top page so they can track the customers.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

We prefer not to have the Dashboard widget to count our Article courses within the Total Number of Courses, since our Article contents are all optional content, so hopefully there will be an option for us to be able to choose which contents to be counted as Total Number of Courses on student dashboard.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It contributes us a lot in a way that we do not need to develop and host our own website or learning platform. We tried many other platforms but so far TI has the most abilities to accommodate most of our needs.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you for your feedback! Please be sure to share the specifics with your CSM (if you haven't already), so we can help you grow and scale your learning business.

  ### 39. The system meets about 70% of our business model needs. Reporting needs some additional work.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharonne L. | Vice President, Operations and Education, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The features of the learning tools to create a course are great. And importing in SCORM packages for testing is also wonderful.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Not a CRM and doesn't integrate well with other CRMs. Reporting needs more customizability.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our technicians have access to their records, a first in our industry.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you Sharonne! Please be sure to share any specific feedback with your CSM (if you haven't already), as we have some great integration work coming very soon.

  ### 40. Great tool for delivering training across multiple locations!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The ability to have multiple clients through the panorama feature and the ability to control and disseminate content through tags.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

There seems to be a lot of confusion for client administrators on managing their roles between "admin" or when they want to access the platform as a "learner". This part requires some UI updates to make things more clear.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can have multiple clients in the same platform and control content packages and deliver an amazing user experience.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for your feedback! Panorama is a very powerful tool to manage multiple instances at scale. And your comment about roles is noted for our roadmap discussions.

  ### 41. Dream Tool for LMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** serena g. | L, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The site is very easy to learn and use .

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Sometimes finding certain things can be hard

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to reduce our one-on-one training time. This has been successful, and customers have provided great reviews of our courses.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thank you for your time! We really appreciate it!

  ### 42. Vast array of features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

There is a vast array of features that allow the learners to have a clean and smooth experience when navigating through courses.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

There are glitches here and there with the platform that create roadblocks for us and are not addressed as quickly as we'd like.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thought Industries allows us to provide content in a neat manner for private practitioners to continue their learning, education, and certification journey.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for this! Thought Industries is a very powerful platform -- we appreciate you acknowledging that! Please be sure you share any specific examples with your CSM (if you haven't already), so we can help you clear away any roadblocks and grow your learning business,

  ### 43. Pros and Cons of TI

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

Easy, intuitive course building with nice interface features.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Settings are awkward to find and it lacks advanced course design features, requiring a lot of scorm embeds (and extra costs).

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Know what content features are important to you and plan for additional expense of embeds if you want to use more advanced interactive elements.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers are able to provide and track all training for their staff in one place.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for your feedback! We'll be sure to communicate this internally so we can continue to work to earn your business.

  ### 44. Very hands on and professional staff

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The dynamics of the platform and large room to customize lessons and certificates.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Somewhat complicated to navigate in the beginning.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Pay attention to their onboarding process and take the time in your schedule to digest the information.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems solved include making onboarings for both clients and new staff much more seamless. Has allowed for much more free time for our team to tackle other tasks.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for the feedback! We really appreciate you taking the time!

  ### 45. User Friendly LMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Relations | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

The simple interface for users and how easy it is to create content.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

The Learning paths have a default black box at the top. Its ugly and to manually be removed from each learning path.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of content to deliver to individual groups. Ti allows us to tag content to allow users to see what is relevant to them.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**

> Thanks for taking the time for your review -- we really appreciate it!

  ### 46. Easy to use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

Panorama is the best feature. Not sure what more I can add. I like this and the things that can be done with branding - I am keen to see how this develops over time

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Navigation and identifying learners - Admin on TI is very complicated and the UX is not very good from an admin point of view which make it a bit time consuming but nothing that we can't work to improve

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration of content with multiple users in different formats

  ### 47. Not for everyone

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

Wistia-based video playback with searchable transcripts. Instance-wide content snippets for easy editing of universal content. "Notes" feature that allows learners to document thoughts tied to specific content touchpoints.

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Overly-complicated platform. Poor reporting data output. Poor SCORM connect functionality. Poor support for localized content, and no ability to localize UI content for delivery via SCORM connect. Org not aligned to providing a positive CX.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Delivery of asynchronous content to global audiences in both cohort and on-demand formats. Delivery of content in both English and translation. The latter has been a let down despite some initial promise.

  ### 48. Thought Industries has been a great learner management tool for our business

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

Their learner onboarding tools (registration codes, redemption codes, etc.)

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

Their reporting tools have been lackluster and fairly confusing although the recent update is promising.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are providing small scale access to our training through Thought Industries. This has been great for piloting the programs before we roll them out to clients on a larger scale.

**What do you like best about Thought Industries?**

Great UI, amazing authoring, catalog and e-commerce capabilities

**What do you dislike about Thought Industries?**

There is no export option for the content you create.

**Recommendations to others considering Thought Industries:**

Have a clear Content Lifecycle strategy in place and configure TI based on this strategy.

**What problems is Thought Industries solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Thought Industries as our main authoring, class management and content distribution platform for our internal, partner and customer-facing content.

**Official Response from Mike Daecher:**
