**What do you like best about ONESOURCE?**

The ease of use for tax calculations. The solution is integrated within our erp system and works accurately and quickly to produce tax amounts add needed for our sales orders.

**What do you dislike about ONESOURCE?**

Customer service is handled internationally, which poses communication issues. Every time I have submitted a case, I am treated like a programmer, and don't often understand what's being asked of me. To be fair, we are a smaller company with limited IT help.

**What problems is ONESOURCE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OneSource provides tax amounts based off of GPS coordinates provided by another system integration, granting us greater accuracy than ever before.

**What do you like best about ONESOURCE?**

Onesource is a highly technically advanced software, that is easy to use. We are a multinational corporation with multiple entities and OneSource allows us to prepare our tax returns at a highly technical and accurate level. The capabilities to roll up all of these entities into one US reporting entity with OneSource surpasses the ability to do that on other softwares, in my opinion. They also have great technical support if you run into any issues.

**What do you dislike about ONESOURCE?**

Nothing. We really have had no issues with OneSource. It is an easy to use software and the technical support is great. We have been very pleased with the switch that we made.

**What problems is ONESOURCE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to consolidate multiple US entities into one reporting entity for our US tax return. This functionality in OneSource is easy to use and produces an accurate product.

**What do you like best about ONESOURCE?**

What I like best about this software is the ease of consolidating entities for our tax return. This software enables us to accurately consolidate many entities into one reporting entity.

**What do you dislike about ONESOURCE?**

Nothing. We really have been pleased with the easy of use, the ability of their IT team to help us with issues, and the accuracy of the returns that the software produces.

**What problems is ONESOURCE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to file our combined tax return with the software, consolidating many subsidiaries into one reporting entity. We are able to e-file our returns as well, which is very helpful.

Its wide range of support of countries, states and zip codes for various types of tax categories.  And being up to date with the calculations.

**What do you dislike about ONESOURCE?**

Their API(s) are very very immature.  REST API(s) support only US and canada.  Their SOAP API(s) are based on age old monstrosity tech.

We are estimating Taxes on quotes & recording tax certificates for customers.

**What do you like best about ONESOURCE?**

Thomson Reuters is an industry leader in the provision of tax application software.  We subscribe to everything from Tax Provision to Tax Compliance to Transfer Pricing Compliance applications.  Thomson Reuters provides a solid platform, capable of completing various tax related compliance efforts.  They have an excellent support staff that is ready and willing to help if you get stuck.  Their customer relations personnel is friendly, helpful and not pushy.  

**What do you dislike about ONESOURCE?**

When you have a company as large as Thomson Reuters, inevitably things will slip through the cracks.  One of the things that frustrates me is that because of its size and it's efforts to reach every consumer, oftentimes the software is frustrating to use because it is slow and difficult to understand and use.  Simple things like finding the correct location to enter information is not intuitive.  We find "phantom" checkboxes that we can't uncheck.  It oftentimes leads to calls to the help desk to find out where to change these items.  This can be very frustrating in crunch time.  By trying to provide software to every known tax possibility, they often overlook, or don't fleshout, the most important parts of the software.

**What problems is ONESOURCE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All income tax compliance, transfer pricing, BEPS compliance, and tax provision work is completed in Onesource.

1) Customer Service - Thomson Reuters must develop a user-friendly platform for users to seek assistance with software issues and inquiries, as the Community Center, Help Center, and call lines are consistently inadequate. The Help Center fails to provide relevant search results, and customer service representatives are slow, rude, and unhelpful. The software frequently experiences downtime and glitches. Additionally, some tax forms lack properly programmed calculators, resulting in incorrect calculations.

Ensure tax compliance is completed somewhat on time.

**What do you like best about ONESOURCE?**

Most accurate and up to dated tax rate data, updated and maintained accurately. My last company using Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE data to support tax calculation in global (north America) sales and indirect Tax.  ONESOURCE provides most reliable tax rate data at granular level (zip code) and provides periodic updates. This is very important and critical from accurate tax calculation and compliance perspective. In early days, ONESOURCE implementation was a nightmare. Due to the lack of APIs and Web services, we had ONESOURCE data file downloaded and loaded into our CRM and then used homegrown services to support sales applications. In 2016, we replaced that process once ONESOURCE provided effective APIs in their cloud based tax automation initiatives. APIs are pretty good, reasonably fast and provides necessary information to your sales applications (mobile, e-com) for tax calculation. We were able to seamlessly integrate ONESOURCE with our Mobile, e-com with little effort.
Pretty good reporting, easy to schedule and download report in different format like CSV, Crystal report and Pdf

**What do you dislike about ONESOURCE?**

SOAP based web services are bulky and less efficient. Though response time is reasonable but could be much faster. I like the data, accuracy of data. updates but their technology investment is a big question. While integration with SAP systems was fairly reasonable, ability to integrate with custom CRM system is nightmare.

**Recommendations to others considering ONESOURCE:**

Pros: best and accurate tax (sales and indirect) data with regular update. 
Cons: Bulky SOAP based web services and little hard to implement with custom CRM

**What problems is ONESOURCE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sales tax and Indirect Tax calculation for north America region. Must be accurate and  compliant with local regulations.

**What do you like best about ONESOURCE?**

The best thing what I like about this product is that this is fully integrated with the native SAP application. The results of any tax impacts at the Order level or billing level is quick and no need to wait. Moreover this has done away with the tax jurisdiction code which I believe was not a very good solution from maintenance  perspective.

**What do you dislike about ONESOURCE?**

It's not working to meet all the typical business requirements especially for the contract cases where there are material as well as service component.  Also would like to have their reporting module beefed up with more reports and some EWS.

**Recommendations to others considering ONESOURCE:**

This is a well integrated package when used with SAP. I would suggest you to have clearly defined business requirements before you engage the consultants to implement the OneSource otherwise it will fall short of the expectations.

**What do you like best about ONESOURCE?**

I was recently a first time user of ONESOURCE a few months ago. I have used multiple other programs like Prosystem Fx Tax and CorpTax, but both have a distinctive learning curve to them. The immediate integration of the working trial balance within ONESOURCE Income Tax has been greatly beneficial. It allows the end user to easily find errors and fix problems with ease.

**What do you dislike about ONESOURCE?**

ONESOURCE can sometimes be slow or it often will shut down for random reasons. This can be frustrating at times when trying to finish a task, as it requires a restart of the software.

**Recommendations to others considering ONESOURCE:**

ONESOURCE is a great product when you have clients with multiple localities and a larger corporate structure.

**What problems is ONESOURCE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team is capable of providing income tax returns on a timely basis through ONESOURCE. With larger engagements, we can have multiple team members working on the same project at the same time, which can not be said for many other pieces of tax software.

Thompson Reuters ONESOURCE aids in streamlining workflow, connecting departments internally, and automating processes which would otherwise be manually processed and time consuming. Thompson Reuters ONESOURCE provides a user friendly platoform for performing all tasks associated with tax and general accounting. Thompson Reuters ONESOURCE increases accuracy and boosts efficiency overall and is a great application.

I have not found anything I majorly dislike about Thompson Reuters ONESOURCE, but I am not the most seasoned user.

Test out all feautures and get experiences with this great software

I've been using Onesource income tax for about 15 years and  have seen it grow and change, mostly for the better.  I'm very comfortable using it and feel like I know a bunch of the little tricks to make things easier.

It can be kind of clunky, and it's not always user friendly especially when you're just starting out.

This is a good source for organizing and maintaining multiple citation sources and then being able to update them across multiple platforms and workstations.

The speed of update sources can be slow depending on internet connection. If you are needing to make quick changes in a short period of time, this can be frustrating.

This is a good platform to try. We use it in support of other Thomas Reuters services.

Audit ready processes help me trust that we will be preparedo if there is an audit. We are able to cut out manuallly managing important audit documents and files because everything is so streamlined.

It is focused more on global enterprise, therefore, it really would be better to use if you have a midsize or larger company.

This product does exactly what its supposed to do.  It allows accounts to complete tax returns the way they should be done in 2019. Technology is amazing.

During busy times the software can be a little slower.

**What do you like best about ONESOURCE?**

Ease of product assignment for HTS coding to reconcile sales tax and customs coding. This makes for ease of product assignment from the item master to both tax and export groups.

**What do you dislike about ONESOURCE?**

Multiple nexus setup for various entities is a challenge and repetitive. I would prefer a cascade organization setup so that nexus would flow down to other entries which roll up to corporate parent.

The software gives you capability to combine different currencies and tax rates. It works well with medium to large businesses.

I would not recommend it for smaller businesses but it still can be a great alternative for Xero, quickbooks, or freshbooks

It has made it much easier to track different currencies and tax rates because it is intergrated in one platform.

I like how easy it is to navigate in the organizer of OneSource. I've been using this software for 3 years now. 

**What do you dislike about ONESOURCE?**

I do not like how the hotline for support is lengthy on the more busier times when trying to clear diagnostics.

Increase the support, add new functions that help tax prepares

It’s straight forward and easy to learn. It has a lot of useful functions. I’m impressed.
