The platform allows for multiple classes with semesters, and the teacher can choose who can view grades, attendance, etc. You can also choose between using a point system or a percentage system for grading. You can give each assignment a different value, and each assignment can be assigned a date and a time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about ThinkWave Educator? If percentages could be mixed with points in the grading system, that would be very helpful. Right now, I can choose between a point system and a percentage system, but I cannot combine the two systems. Also, it would be great if I could create a midterm grade average without closing out the grade book for that quarter. My students also would prefer a system that is integrated with Google or their email. It is difficult for them to remember a new username and password. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering ThinkWave Educator: This would be great for educators who have a set quarter or semester system, and they grade using just percentages or just points. The program is internet based, simple, and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about ThinkWave Educator? The communication portal is not helpful because it is difficult to access, and often requires emailing more than one person. I'd like to be able to contact one parent. There is also an assignment submission feature, but it has not worked when I have tried to implement it. I would love a feature to add assignments and agendas for my classes. Recommendations to others considering ThinkWave Educator: If you are looking for a basic and simplistic program to do the minimum administrator tasks for education, then I would recommend ThinkWave.
