I like the way the backoffice is organized. We work for a lot of different clients with their own look & feel and needs. We also work with multiple team members in the same backoffice, a clear process is needed here. Luckily thinkific made it easy to group all the related assets to a certain client via the 'category' option. Building courses in this tool feels very intuitive by simply using the courses & their learning activities. I feel like there are enough learning activities for us to do the job. We mostly use the text, download & video lesson. Launching modules goes via the drip schedule which makes launching modules automatic from now on. Thinkific also has a nice e- commerce feature. It makes it easy to sell the courses & the login creation. This LMS system was easy to learn, even for our non-digital colleauges. It is helpful that you can assign certain roles to users. We have different teams working in Thinkific. Based on the tasks they have to do, we give them a certain role in Thinkific. This was helpful to not confuse the colleague with an overload of projects they are not involved in & to keep a clean backoffice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Thinkific? In the beginning there was a learning curve. Header & footer are domain based, which is a bit unhandy for us since we build platforms for different clients. But ok, not a big deal, there are other ways to customize your platform. We have some specific cases when adding certain role to users (for example externals who want to check a course that is not ready yet). We miss some AI features. There is not much data you can track: f.e: how many time did a participant spend on this page, when do they usually log in? I feel like the 'analysis' part can still improve. We don't use the 'theme library' a lot since we have different clients in 1 backoffice. 1 change here would impact all our projects (for different clients). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Thinkific solving and how is that benefiting you? In the past we worked with different LMS systems which had a very confusing backoffice. Thinkific helps the team in not having so many headaches of finding your courses in the backoffice. It is really intuitive & structured backoffice. Which results in a more efficient way of working. Building in Thinkific goes really fast & looks very dynamic in a fast way. Which was a struggle we had when working in other LMS systems. The names of the learning activities speak for itself & do what they are expected to do. The download lesson has for example a strucuted look & feel. This is something we had to hard code in other LMS systems In Thinkific they are premade. With other LMS systems, it was so easy to make mistakes & break things. The way Thinkific has been set up, it prevents non-digital colleagues from easily breaking things. In the past we did not have an option to sell courses online. For example, some of the more advanced features can feel a bit overwhelming at first, and it took us some time to fully explore and utilize them. My client - a regional higher education institution - was coming from another solution that was not built for their operations. After some market research, we found Thinkific and began implementation. We were thrilled with their level of support for user migration, content migration, self-service options, and flexibility of the platform which helped us cater to our users better than ever before. The basic analytics that comes out-of-the-box are an enormous help. The in-house payment solution takes all the worry about taxes and revenue realization for each sale. It would be lovely to have image creators along side the copy being enhanced by Ai. I find it hard to communicate what I mean and an image would often help put my message across. For example, I sew and teach others my techniques. I do not want to be on camera so I show my how to techniques in still images so being able to create them in this fashion would save me time in the app. Such as press this French seam here, pin along this hem exactly 1.5cm up, etc. I would have to stop, take b-roll images instead. SImilar programs like Teachable and Podia are also known for user-friendly interfaces, but Leap’s focus on automation and ease of use gives it a slight edge for creators who are just getting started and that's something that I can appreciate as I am still learning how to scale my business. Ease of creating courses. Reasonable cost. What do you dislike about Thinkific? Lot of upsell offers, can be tricky to navigate on the admin side until you are familiar with the location and naming conventions. Support for API integration was very mimimal, the answer was always upgrade to the next pack and do it via a 3rd party.
