Over the past year, we've continued to see improvements to the platform, especially around usability and speed of course creation. The course builder remains one of Thinkific’s strongest features — it’s intuitive, easy to train new admins on, and allows our team to launch and update courses quickly without heavy technical support. We’ve also appreciated continued improvements to Communities, site customization options, and the general admin experience. Thinkific makes it easy for our team to manage a large volume of content across multiple learning experiences while still maintaining a polished learner experience. The platform is especially strong for organizations that need to move quickly and keep course maintenance simple. The Thinkific Horizons event and recent product conversations have also shown a stronger focus on platform governance, AI-supported workflows, and improving the learner journey, which is encouraging as our training ecosystem continues to scale. As a Thinkific Plus customer operating in a corporate/B2B training environment, we’d still love to see more enterprise-focused functionality included natively within the platform rather than as paid add-ons. Many new features and enhancements introduce additional monthly costs, which can make scaling difficult for larger organizations already investing heavily in the platform. A lot of the feature updates are more for customers selling courses, rather than customers operating employee/cohort learning experiences. There’s also room for improvement around governance and content management at scale. Better organization tools, more flexible admin permissions (I know this is coming soon!), stronger reporting customization, and improved bulk management features would make a significant difference for teams managing large learning libraries and multiple stakeholder groups. Thinkific Plus helps us deliver course-based learning experiences to both our employees and customers with ease. The intuitive course builder and straightforward admin functions make it simple to create and launch new courses, which has streamlined our content delivery process. The recent improvements to the Analytics experience have also enhanced our ability to track progress and engagement, allowing us to better meet the needs of our B2B use case. The ability to customise the course content, while also offering a range of templates ready to implement. The page builder for course pages and the front-end of the site makes it easy for beginners while also offering the flexibility for power users to edit page code. What do you dislike about Thinkific? There were some pages where we were unable to fire javascript, which meant that we were limited in our customisations somewhat. Being able to offer course content in a digestable way for our users, while reporting on performance. The integration with Google Analytics and inhouse reporting meant we could manage our users to encourage course completion. We were able to improve our support services by ensuring our users were able to learn and self-serve with courses. Thinkific provides detailed transaction information and helpful filters, so it’s easier to pull exactly the data you’re looking for. What do you dislike about Thinkific? In my experience, Thinkific doesn’t provide much support for setting up the correct tax amounts across different U.S. states or countries. It seems to default to a standard setting that doesn’t match the proper taxes for every location. What I like most about Thinkific is how easy it is to use. The platform is very intuitive, which lets me focus on creating content instead of dealing with technical issues. It gives me everything I need to run my courses in one place, from hosting lessons to managing students and sales. The initial setup was pretty easy too, with intuitive step-by-step guides that made it straightforward to get our courses up and running quickly. We chose Thinkific because it’s more user-friendly, offers better course management tools, and gives us more control over the student experience. It was easy to get started, having never used a LMS before. We are a small company and do a lot of the setup of our systems ourselves. The "how to guides" are really useful and had us up and running easliy. We've also likes the add ons and improvements over the years we have Thinkific. I chose Thinkific because I did not want to just "sell online courses." I wanted to truly teach those that bought my courses. Thinkific's features like submittable homework assignments, drip schedules and prerequisite filters allow me to ensure that my students are truly engaging with the course they purchased. First, we should be able to customize the welcome email for the Community the same way we can for individual courses. Second, being able to mass email Community members on all plans would be very helpful in terms of increasing engagement. And finally, the Community doesn't come up as a course so it can't connect to Zapier which makes creating streamlined workflows or communication to community members impossible. I think it's a good start, but I would appreciate if more of these updates could be worked on. The Community space has had very little improvement since I first started using it over 3 years ago.
