Because the platform provides a lot of freedom and relatively few constraints by default, some concepts such as attribute creation, data modeling, rule chains, dashboards, and device configuration may require a significant learning curve. This flexibility is extremely powerful for technical teams, but it can make the platform harder to approach for business users, operational teams, or customers who are not familiar with IoT architectures. The fact that it's open source with much of it free to use is a great benefit. I also appreciate the excellent enterprise support from the ThingsBoard team, which is very fast and knowledgeable, offering direct contact with developers. It's very easy to set up small examples and proof of concepts, and if things get complicated, the team can help with setup for very fair pricing. My experience with ThingsBoard and the team is so positive that I would rate it a 10, keeping in mind that recommendations depend on what someone needs. **What do you dislike about ThingsBoard?** That some features are premium. It just takes the screenshot of the Dashboard. 2)The Widget development guide in the documentation needs to be more detailed. 3) No widgets for User inputs i.e. Comments or Numerical inputs for pushing data into a device or controller. **What problems is ThingsBoard solving and how is that benefiting you?** 1) Unlike other IoT platforms such as Grafana which just reads data from the Database for Data visualization, Thingsboard receives data through MQTT, HTTP, or API, and stores the telemetry data into the database. This way it helps to preprocess and route the data before logging into the database. 2) It has Usermanagent and device management which lets you have control over the rights of Users and devices. 3) As it somewhat follows 21CFR regulations so it can be used for 21CFR projects. 4) ### 7.
