They start their search for strong candidates before the initial meeting, and then further hone their search prior to presenting candidates after that discovery meeting. I don't think the fault is with TJS on this, as our mutual client had me join the process after it was already established and running. Getting caught-up on those established processes and having access to the right platforms had me very confused until I realized what information I was missing for it to be rectified, as I couldn't see the candidates the rest of the team was talking about. I've been coordinating with The Job Sauce (TJS) to fill some unique roles with specific requirements. TJS has been nothing but professional and understanding, starting each role with a kick-off meeting where they take down all the details to find unicorn candidates and ask deep questions to get details so that we can be the most attractive to these candidates. After that initial meeting, we are off to the races with a multitude of candidates to review, and really the difficulty is managing the timeline on our side to make sure we process them in a timely manner! Job Sauce was asked to help source top quality engineering management candidates. Our requirements were pretty bold - we needed leaders with both big company and start up experience who were exceptional with people and communication. We wanted them to have experience often only found in late stage or mid level companies and well as have the ingenuity and resourcefulness of start up leaders. We needed leaders who could communicate to all levels of our organization. They did a phenomenal job honing in on our target profile and quickly brought us top quality candidates who fit well what we were looking for, eventually resulting in extending offers for all our open roles. From the start they take the time up front to truly understand the role, including getting into a lot of deep context as it relates to business, culture, technology, and the value that the role will bring. This allows them to find fantastic candidates and to position the role in a way that finds the best match for the applicant as well as for us as clients.
