TextPad gives me the ability to easily copy, paste and replace text. It supports unicode and other characters that word processing programs like Word do not. The key ones are stated below : 1) Macro recording : This feature allows you record commands and functions and also save them. Which can later be played back . Playback can be limited to a number of lines or to end of file 2) Compare Files : You can compare two files to check for similarities or differences 3) Sort : This features does not only re-order/re-arrange the text file, it can also delete duplicates and highlight a specific length of lines Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. For example, i might need to create multiple insert query lines (\>100,000 lines) for insertion into a custom table.
