Additionally, it is very easy to use from the get-go. There is no configuration required out of the box, which means there is no learning curve. I prefer this over a typical vim editor as it allows one to bold and underline and do other basic editing tasks. **What do you dislike about Tex-Edit Plus?** Working with scripts in Text Edit Plus requires a bit of getting used to what commands Text Edit will understand and implement, but once you adjust to what you can and cannot do with scripts, the program is easy to use quickly. **Recommendations to others considering Tex-Edit Plus:** If you find that you are not using the more complicated features in MS Word or Pages, but standard text editing is too simple for your needs, try using Text Edit Plus to fill the gap in the middle of those software pieces. **What problems is Tex-Edit Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Text Edit Plus saved us money because we didn't need the full set of MS Word functionalities, and now we don't have to worry about paying for MS Office upgrades or subscriptions. ### 4.
