"Awesome courseware and support"
5/5
What do you like best about TestOut?

For online learning in particular, there is no better tool for students. Topics are covered in-depth and students are able to complete labs until they are comfortable with the skills. The courseware is great preparation for Microsoft, CompTIA, and Cisco exams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TestOut?

My only concern with TestOut is that support is not available on weekends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"TestOut curriculum an awesome platform for high school students seeking IT certification!"

What do you like best about TestOut?

What I find the most helpful about TestOut is the one on one customer service I receive. From ordering and setting up licenses, to technical assistance with their LabSim software; TestOut always answers the call. I also like how TestOut updates their certification software every year, ensuring my students are learning the most current and relevant skills and knowledge required in the industry. TestOut is a must for anyone seeking a platform that will prepare them for success in taking information technology certifications like CompTIA A+, Net + and Sec +. I also like how TestOut continues to add certifications every year like Cyber Security and Ethical Hacker! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TestOut?

What I dislike about TestOut is that it is currently not on our states list of certifications that can be reimbursed by Perkins V. We need more educators in Texas advocating to have TestOut added. Currently in Texas, CompTIA is the only recognized certifications for the classes I teach. The closest testing center is 90 minutes away so my students only have access to TestOut which is not funded through Perkins V. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TestOut?

Quality of LabSim products, phone support by knowledgeable employees who answer by the third ring, students prefer the product over any other (e.g. Cengage Mindtap), Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TestOut?

There is no downside to TestOut. This company's values and goals are outstanding. Each employee that I have dealt with has integrity and in-depth product knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Will get you to your certifications, A+, Net+, Security+"

What do you like best about TestOut?

Almost never is one tool the only tool you can use and may need others. When you start out in TestOut you see videos by real people, you know, just like you and me, practice simulations and fact sheets. Between the three you have a wealth of information to go through, and you can go back to find out what you missed. I was impressed by it. There are review questions, practice exams and so on. I have regular books as well to go through but TestOut on its own would have gotten me to my certification. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TestOut?

There is no substitute for real hardware and some student complain. Looking back, you really do not need the hardware but if you do, you find it all dirt cheap on eBay. You do need a wide screen, and the wider the better to be able to maneuver through the simulation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TestOut?

The videos are prepared by professional presenters that are able to explain the course material very clearly in simple layman terms Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TestOut?

The price could be somewhat on the expensive side when students have to take multiple course they don't get a break of some sort like a package deal Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great customer service, and given the breadth of material available its a reliable and great product"
5/5
What do you like best about TestOut?

The video lessons are very well done and digestible. The fact that some info in the videos is not in the fact sheet and vice versa makes reviewing both a need. As an instructor, pushing students to review this complex material is ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TestOut?

Some of the videos are odd. The labs are very slow to react to clicks sometimes, especially if the student's PC is low on RAM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Software and Support"
5/5
What do you like best about TestOut?

The TestOut account executive, Jared Skelton, has gone above and beyond to provide information and answer questions regarding use of the software and providing assistance to students. The Tech Support answers quickly and is always helpful. The program provides students have the opportunities to review the training through seeing it, practicing the skills, and receiving the necessary feedback. In addition, the students can complete the training around their own schedule. The program doesn't require downloading or uploading and the course can be completed from anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TestOut?

I feel the MS Office training is too broad from beginning skills to more intermediate and advanced levels. For students with little prior knowledge, this can be challenging to learn. My one recommendation would be to have the ability to easily view test scores without downloading them. I would also like to be able to schedule all the exams prior to the course starting so students can see all the pending exams immediately. Currently, the instructor has to schedule groups of students to an exam since they are not all purchasing the software at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
