What I like most about TestGorilla is how easy it is to evaluate candidates consistently and objectively. The wide range of assessments, combined with the ability to create custom questions, helps us identify the right skills early in the hiring process and reduces bias in decision-making. The platform is intuitive, saves a significant amount of screening time, and provides clear insights that support more informed hiring decisions. The main area for improvement is reporting and customization. More advanced analytics, greater flexibility in candidate communications

**What problems is TestGorilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using TestGorilla, it was difficult to consistently assess candidates' skills early in the hiring process, particularly for technical and highly specialized roles. CVs and interviews alone often didn't provide enough objective data to make confident decisions.

TestGorilla helps us validate skills upfront, identify the strongest candidates faster, and focus interview time on the people most likely to succeed in the role. This has reduced the time spent on manual screening, improved the quality of candidates progressing through the process, and given hiring managers greater confidence in hiring decisions. What I like most about TestGorilla is how it makes hiring more objective and efficient. One area where TestGorilla could improve is the candidate experience and reporting flexibility. Some assessments can feel lengthy, which may lead to candidate drop-off. The customization options for tests and reports could also be more flexible, especially for companies with unique hiring requirements. Additionally, deeper integrations with ATS platforms and more detailed analytics would make it easier to manage recruitment workflows and gain better insights into candidate performance.

**What do you like best about TestGorilla?**

The platform has evolved significantly since I first reviewed it. The interface is even more polished and intuitive, making it easy to create and launch assessments in just a few minutes. The assessment library continues to be one of its biggest strengths, with a wide variety of high-quality tests across technical, cognitive, language, and personality skills. I also appreciate the newer AI-powered capabilities, such as assistance with assessment creation and candidate evaluation, which help streamline the screening process and save recruiters time. Overall, TestGorilla has matured into a more comprehensive and efficient skills-based hiring platform.

**What do you dislike about TestGorilla?**

While the product has improved considerably, there are still a few areas where it could do better. Greater flexibility in pricing - especially monthly plans or more startup-friendly options - would make it accessible to a wider range of businesses. I'd also like to see more customization options for assessments and reporting. Overall, these are refinements rather than major shortcomings, and the platform continues to improve with each update.

**What problems is TestGorilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

earlier, we were not able to filter candidates based on their skill sets. TestGorilla helps us to do that in a very seamless way (compared to creating test forms in Google Forms).

**What do you like best about TestGorilla?**

I think the accuracy of the AI is even better at this point, as the follow up questions don't deviate that much from the topic of the original question. Something I liked was, I was asked something about AWS specific service (database tech), and a few questions before I talked about a project regarding database migration, so it kind of related both questions to understand if the same technology was used on both projects or different one, and what was the criteria to establish that. Like at the end everything is interconnected.

**What do you dislike about TestGorilla?**

Maybe the way you indicate you are done with your question. I think this is in general with AI interviewing platforms, where they take a long pause (seconds) as finishing your response. Sometimes you would like to think and not making noises just so that the AI doesn't think you already finished. So what I have done is start muttering stuff so that the AI doesn't think I finished, while I continue thinking on my response or what words I will use. I understand at the same time that is a way to prevent that candidates start cheating by searching for answers or waiting output from another AI, but I think it is something has to be improved in a creative way.

**What problems is TestGorilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that is solving is, discarding capable candidates just because they cannot solve an algorithm problem that they will hardly face in the day to day job. TestGorilla evaluates what really matters, which is their skills for solving problems in a creative way, resembling what real scenarios are. There could be very good candidates that probably didn't know that day how to implement an algorithm that gets the median of two sorted arrays, and because of that they were rejected without having the opportunity to show how good they are, because the technical assessment using other tools, is broken.

It’s very user-friendly, the design feels intuitive, and it’s easy to set up. It is also budget-friendly compared to other similar services. It provides excellent customer support as and when required, and performance is top-notch. It's ai features are of great deal specially when creating a new job cause when we describe what we need, it provides recommendations, thereby making our job easier.

**What do you dislike about TestGorilla?**

Honesty, there is nothing to dislike about TestGorilla, but yes, there is only one point of concern, and that is we can only add 20 custom questions in TestGorilla if we are on the plus plan. If this can be increased, then it would be a great deal.

**What problems is TestGorilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When it comes to hiring a genuine deserving candidate by filtering them from lots of other candidates, the main challenge was taking tests for skills assessments, especially for remote hiring, since it is not possible to take the tests from a physical examination centre, also if the candidate was allowed to give the test from home then there is possibility they may cheat, specially when today AI is there, but that is not possible with test gorilla as test gorilla ensures that when the test is going the camera should be turned on and the test happens in full screen thereby capturing the candidates photo while he is giving the test, so unbiased hiring for the right candidate always happens with use of testgorilla, also is saves us wastings hours of reading cv's.

**What do you like best about TestGorilla?**

The most helpful feature of TestGorilla is the ranking and comparison of candidates' assessment results, which allows us to look at candidates fairly.

The user interface is easy to navigate, and the integration with other applications makes it easier to handle the results. We have used TestGorilla for hiring for multiple roles at once with multiple assessments, and the website performance catches up with what we need.

We definitely had a few quality hires with the help of the assessments, which led me to think that the yearly pricing is reasonable and that ROI can be achieved.

I have not reached out to the support team yet, but the onboarding for getting the assessments ready is helpful enough the first time. I've set up a lot of assessments with the help of the knowledge library, even without prior experience. The most helpful AI feature is the detection of suggested tests based on the job descriptions we have.

Overall, TestGorilla is worth the shot.

One downside of TestGorilla is not being able to modify the columns to filter the candidates' results.

**What do you like best about TestGorilla?**

TestGorilla has been a valuable tool in helping us create a more structured and intentional screening process. What I like best is the flexibility. We can customize assessments to fit the specific skills and competencies we’re hiring for, while also leveraging their pre-built test library when we need a faster solution.

I also appreciate the option to collect both written and video responses. Depending on the role, this gives us better insight into communication style, professionalism, critical thinking, and culture fit before moving candidates further into the process. It has helped streamline early-stage hiring and improve the quality of candidates advancing through interviews.

**What do you dislike about TestGorilla?**

One downside we’ve experienced is occasional browser compatibility or technical issues on the candidate side. At times, candidates have had trouble getting assessments to load or function properly depending on their browser or device, which then requires additional troubleshooting and support from our team during the hiring process. While it hasn’t been a dealbreaker, it has created some friction in certain cases.

**What problems is TestGorilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use TestGorilla as one tool within our overall hiring process to help us better understand candidates beyond just a resume. The assessments often give us additional insight into communication style, problem-solving, and areas we may want to probe further during interviews.

That said, we don’t treat the results as the final deciding factor or automatically dismiss candidates based solely on assessment performance. In fact, at a previous company, one of our strongest and most successful employees performed poorly on their TestGorilla assessment initially. That experience reinforced for me that these tools are most valuable when used as a guide and conversation starter, not as the sole determinant of talent or potential.

Overall, it has helped us create more intentional interviews and ask better follow-up questions throughout the hiring process.

**What do you like best about TestGorilla?**

We like the variety of assessments available. We are in the IT industry and whether we are filling a Level 1 Helpdesk position, or a Senior Software Engineer, there are several skills assessments to choose from for each.

**What do you dislike about TestGorilla?**

The cost to add API capability for integration with our ATS would have doubled what we are currently paying so we decided against it. We don't need the other features that come with Plus, so it would be nice to be able to pay for the API key separately. This would improve our hiring workflow without a lot of additional cost for us.

**What problems is TestGorilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TestGorilla's assessments allow us to filter out candidates who might say they have more technical expertise than they actually do. We believe assessing our candidates during the hiring process helps us to save time and cost in avoiding new hires that end up unable to perform the basic functions of the job.

My experience has remained consistently positive. The platform is easy to use, assessments are reliable, customer support is responsive, and the hiring workflow is simple to manage. It continues to meet our hiring needs effectively.

TestGorilla has been working well overall. One area for improvement would be adding more flexibility to the assessment forms and question customization. More detailed analytics, additional integrations with ATS platforms, and enhanced reporting options would also make the platform even more valuable. What I like most about TestGorilla is its ability to evaluate candidates based on practical skills rather than just resumes. It provides a structured way to assess technical, cognitive, and communication abilities before moving candidates to the interview stage. Wide range of pre-built assessments for technical and non-technical roles. Customizable tests that can be tailored to specific job requirements. Automated scoring and detailed candidate reports. Anti-cheating features such as question randomization and monitoring. Easy candidate invitation and progress tracking. For me, the most valuable feature is the skill-based assessments. They help identify candidates who can actually perform the required tasks, making the hiring process more objective and reducing the reliance on resumes alone. The biggest benefit is better hiring efficiency. TestGorilla helps shortlist qualified candidates faster, reduces screening time, and improves the quality of interviews by ensuring only the most relevant applicants move forward.

**What do you dislike about TestGorilla?**

The biggest drawback is that a standardized assessment can't fully measure practical problem-solving or real-world experience. I still rely on technical interviews and coding discussions to evaluate how candidates approach complex scenarios, so TestGorilla works best as an initial screening tool rather than a complete hiring solution. Some pre-built assessments feel too generic and don't always reflect real-world job responsibilities.

TestGorilla solves the problem of relying solely on resumes to evaluate candidates. Instead of screening applicants based only on experience or keywords, it enables skill-based assessments that help identify candidates who can actually perform the job. Automates the initial candidate screening process. Evaluates technical, cognitive, and role-specific skills objectively. Reduces the time spent reviewing resumes and conducting unqualified interviews. Provides standardized assessments for fair candidate comparison. Helps identify strong candidates before the interview stage. In my experience, TestGorilla helps narrow down the candidate pool by filtering out applicants who don't meet the required skill level. This allows hiring managers and interviewers to spend more time with qualified candidates instead of conducting a large number of initial screening interviews. The biggest benefit is improved hiring efficiency. **What do you like best about TestGorilla?**

You have a full-fledged assessment in a quick and easy way that you can completely customize to your personal preferences. Trying it out for free the first time works well, you can already conduct a good basic test and clearly see which modules are included or not. YOU are guided through a menu in a user-friendly manner. Additionally, AI also makes good suggestions. For example, I entered a question myself and then AI came up with examples of what good answers could be.

I couldn't immediately find where my last assessment was, but after a few clicks, I found it.

The platform is highly intuitive and easy to navigate. I did not need any instructions to understand how to start and complete the test. The practice rounds before each actual test were an excellent feature, helping me calm my nerves and understand the format before the timer started. Additionally, the mix of coding tasks, multiple-choice questions and situational judgment responses made the entire assessment feel incredibly comprehensive.

Once you submit an answer or skip a question, you cannot go back. This is frustrating if you realize you would like to change your mind or realize your mistake a moment later.

I like the easiness of using the platform its clear and straightforward information which is super efficient. I also like that its not only skill based options but also behavioural/personality categories to choose as well. The support team is great! i had a meeting once and learned  so much about the platform

I would say i dislike how much you have to read into the results and analyse it because sometimes the 'percentile' score and the 'raw' score make me feel like im choosing between which score to choose from if that makes sense. I also wish it was integrated to Seek or Employment Hero. Performance wise i wish we could choose more than 5 categories for the skill based section.

well it surely helps me a lot as part of my recruitment process as testing is embedded in our process as part of the final stages.

**What do you like best about TestGorilla?**

I like TestGorilla's user interface; it's great and makes the experience smooth. I also appreciate the extensive number of tests available, which offers a lot of variety to choose from. Additionally, I find the cross-comparison between candidates to be particularly useful. Viewing by percentile, overall score, and doing the weightings between different tests makes the assessment process very efficient.

**What do you dislike about TestGorilla?**

I think that each job or role is listed independently, which is a bit frustrating. I'd like to be able to create a job that we're applying for and create different stages of tests, sending all applicants one test, maybe the free tests, and then another set for those who pass. But right now, I've got to create different jobs altogether for the same job, just different stages of the application process. I also think it'd be helpful to be able to try more test questions. Being able to ask more clarifying questions would be great. It's about collecting metadata or supporting information, like where candidates are based or their salary expectations, using dropdowns for collection. I also wish Google Forms was more integrated into TestGorilla.

What I like most about TestGorilla is the ease of use of the program and how dynamic and fun it can be for both the user and the employer. It is very practical to set up the tests, which offer various options, including sending video questions and adapting and evaluating the tests with AI. The diversity of tests, including language and technical tests, is quite useful for our needs, especially for positions like junior engineers. The ease of use and the dynamism with which it is presented make it very attractive. I think it is one of the best platforms on the market.

There are few things I would say could be improved currently, such as expanding the new 'jobport' functionality beyond remote jobs and locations. Another improvement would be to allow for larger or longer tests, if necessary, for certain positions.

I find the automatic tracking of assessment results to be most helpful to us. The initial setup of TestGorilla for my team was fairly simple.

The API key sometimes doesn't work as well as intended, and we get errors. A simpler interface would be nice, and I'd like upgrade emails and addresses to be improved so that errors go to TestGorilla support instead of us.

1. For a newbie like me, Testgorilla provided enough sample questionnaires to get me started
2. The questionnaires come with their set of carefully structured questions to get me the result that I am looking for - makes my work so much easier as I don't have to go around googling
3. It's an absolutely easy platform to use
4. It had all the assessments that I was looking for - FYI I am into recruitment so behavioural assessment was my major focus

I've really loved the product itself. I think it's brilliant. It's been so user-friendly for us; the interface is so simple to navigate. The team is amazing too. I haven't interacted with a single person who wasn't great to chat to. They've all been super helpful and amazing. I was able to onboard onto TestGorilla easily even in the trial stage, and I already felt like an expert. The people made the product as well, and they're knowledgeable about it, answering all of my questions and making onboarding really seamless. The automatic scoring saves us a huge chunk of time, and knowing that the candidates haven't relied on AI is incredible and so needed in today's landscape. It's just one less tool to worry about learning.

Additionally, expanding the test library to include more specialized tools, such as Adobe After Effects, and Premiere Pro would be a fantastic enhancement. I feel like many other companies, they're pushing their AI tech into things nobody is really asking for. Nonetheless, these are minor wishes compared to the overall value the platform brings.

The service has a vast variety of tests that can be compiled into insightful test assessments that can be sent to potential candidates. best to use when you have no time for manual analysis of candidates. Not they have new tests, a little better interface and I like it. Will continue to use the service.

I don't like the pricing policy, the fact that free tests can be done only inside the company emails, and the range of free tests available is very little. I would like to see more free tests.
Test crashing sometimes and no option to fix it for the candidate. It doesn’t happen often but it happens.

The options it provides are unique, but they feel limited at times. Some people may require additional choices. Gen Z and Gen Alpha tend to be more introverted, yet they have unique abilities that can’t be explored through the traditional options.

For simulation test, it would be great to see the raw answers. While I appreciate the test results / overall results, seeing how the candidate navigates the test or strategize would be great to see.

I like how TestGorilla makes things equal between candidates, ensuring an unbiased evaluation outside of the standard interview process. It's easy to set up tests and compare candidates.

I find that having almost too many tests makes it a bit difficult to find the right match for certain positions. Also, figuring out the right billing setup was a challenge to ensure we weren't being charged too much.

It would be helpful to have greater visibility into the candidate experience during the test. For example, being able to monitor test progress in real time or having optional screen recording (with candidate consent) could increase transparency and confidence in the assessment process. If such features already exist, clearer guidance or support on how to access them would be appreciated.

It’s easy to use from both a recruiter and candidate perspective, and the results are presented clearly, making it simple to compare candidates objectively and reduce bias early in the hiring process.

While TestGorilla is very effective overall, some of the assessments can feel a bit generic for highly specialised or senior roles, and there is limited flexibility to deeply customise questions. Additionally, candidates unfamiliar with online assessments may sometimes find the experience slightly intimidating, which can affect performance even if they have strong real-world skills.

**What problems is TestGorilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TestGorilla solves the problem of time-consuming and subjective early-stage screening.
