TestGorilla is a skills-based software platform helping organizations find and hire the right people - faster, fairer, and without the bias of CVs. The platform supports recruiters with 350+ science-backed assessments, 100+ AI interviews, resume scoring, ID verification and role simulations. As of December 2025, TestGorilla has also been working with companies to help them identify and hire AI-fluent talent and develop scientifically-backed tests and interviews to identify role-specific AI fluency.

  ### 1. Simple platform, lot of issues

**What do you like best about TestGorilla?**

Friendly interface, nice design, the simplicity of the initial integration with the ATS we use (Breezy HR) and i guess,  the flexibility to create your own "package" of test by position

**What do you dislike about TestGorilla?**

They have horrible customer service and support once you paid for the service, starting by the fact that they dont have native speaking analysts in all the countries that they offer the service (in our case Mexico) so communication is very difficult not only by lenguage but per time zone as well, once you sort this, they have incredible long waiting time to solve bugs or issues with their data base (we are about to reach 1 month without attention) and one of their most attractive test which is "Cultural add" is useless and requires tons of fixed and configuration not just "for company" but by "position"

  ### 2. Great service but needs work in Japanese translation

**What do you like best about TestGorilla?**

The different tests avaialble, the easy UX, the very friendly and accessible staff.

**What do you dislike about TestGorilla?**

The Japanese translation provided is insufficient/clunky, which limits my ability to use most of the tests included in the Test Gorilla package. I wish I could have proof read more of the Japanese tests before subscribing.

**What problems is TestGorilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To scan talents coming through our hiring pipeline.

**What do you like best about TestGorilla?**

Great product in terms of testing and user experience.

**What do you dislike about TestGorilla?**

up front with me and tell users how much it will cost. It feels slimmy to hold users to a 1 year contract when I am a small business and hire 1-2 employees per year. Also, all of the amount of access on the starter plan is nothing. Again, be honest and tell users what is included in each package level.

**What problems is TestGorilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping a small buinsess owner know if the employee has the skills necessary.

**What do you like best about TestGorilla?**

I liked the fact it has a camera, and you could see if someone tried to cheat. I also originally liked the price- but that was short lived.

**What do you dislike about TestGorilla?**

Unfortunately, there are SEVERAL cons to this site. One is that you will be charged a foreign currency fee.  Secondly, on the tests I selected- everything is super tiny ( hard to read). With the Excel questions- there is no spreadsheet to reference.  The response time to get anything corrected is very slow; any additional assessments ( outside of what I paid for $300) it is $150. I think that was excessive and not necessary at all.  The VPN is not always accurate, and they need to have more software applications.. for example- we use MS Dynamics- they don't have that listed.  The final big thing was that I had created an assessment for a position- the answers and questions did not align.  So that meant I could not trust this testing platform.  I wish it were different.

We stopped using TestGorilla due to the issues listed above.

It sends alot of emails and ads, I think that's annoying

The pre-employment test makes it easier for companies to select their best candidates and makes candidates understand more the scope of work for this company

  ### 6. The biggest issue is that it's not localized in Japanese, but above all, please do something about the emails not being sent!

It is very meaningful that many templates are provided. However, I still want them to be in Japanese.

**What do you dislike about TestGorilla?**

The fact that it hasn't been translated into Japanese and that emails aren't being sent.
This is causing me a lot of trouble.
I am waiting for a response from support.

**What problems is TestGorilla solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I feel that it is very useful for pre-employment screening, but the tests are not going well, and we have not been able to enjoy those benefits.
