I have personally recovered deleted files and lost partitions with TestDisk, and I am extremely pleased with the outcomes. TestDisk is simple but powerful application to analyze and recover disk partitions. What I like most is that it has an integrated tool called "PhotoRec" that is used to recover lost files in similar memory.
