**What do you like best about Windows Server?**

I like the easy to use interface of Windows Server. Being a User of Windows makes it easier to cope with the UI of the Platform. Super simple to begin with and very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Windows Server?**

The only thing I can say I dislike is their cost. They can improve security aspects as it is a big concern always. Rest is amazing Superb a Diehard fan of widnows server and will always recommend it.

**Recommendations to others considering Windows Server:**

Highly recommend if you are a windows user and want to go with the easy interface for a Server then you can go with Windows Server.

**What problems is Windows Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving so many problems with Windows Server but a few of them which I would like to list are:-

1) Hosting Clients Websites
2) Running Virtual Machines for Testing and Email Marketing.
3) Development work

The ease of setting up of services to try different role based server

The cluster management needs improvement and the hyper-v virtualization needs a more robust configuration. by having a cli installation of hyper-v without gui and updates for the base server where hyper-v is running.

By hosting different services such as DHCP DNS active directory IIS server hosting websites and high availability scalability using the hyper-v

I like the simplicity which windows server is providing. Here we can user the active directory to manage users and the assets which the team owns comparing with Linux.

If windows server goes out of support or to the older version then it will be a challenge to migrate everything and work smoothly because need to learn about new update

Windows server is providing multiple user configuration and also works like a application server as well to handle the customer data ,if you face any issue you need to connect with windows support but sometimes it take some time to resolve.

**What do you like best about Windows Server?**

User-friendly GUI makes it easy to configure and operate Windows servers compared to other Unix-like Servers. Its Admin Center enables me to manage all my applications in a centralized way; we can watch how your system is performing with the help of system Insights. It has Active Directory, Group Policy, RDP (Remote Desktop Connection) like tools that help easily host and manage multiple web projects on a single server. Microsoft Support is also good; you have tons of online resources available for help.

**What do you dislike about Windows Server?**

The windows server license price is higher compared to Linux, so for the small application, it looks costly. Patch and Updates come very frequently, so we have to patch again and again.

**Recommendations to others considering Windows Server:**

If you mostaly develop in Microsoft tecnology stack use windows server.You will also get good support from them.

**What problems is Windows Server solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have different web apps running, from classic asp to advanced C#.net applications, so we host all our apps on Windows Server. With the help of an excellent GUI, we can easily manage all our applications. If we need we can also scale it.

About windows server I specifically like the interface it is user-friendly and easy to work upon. I can seamlessly work using the Windows apps as it has many features that are common in Windows operating system which is a plus I believe.

**What do you dislike about Windows Server?**

One thing I dislike about windows server is sometimes the performances of The server  degrades Or become unresponsive due to the running apps and restarting for shutting down is the only solution to fix it.

All my day today operations or on windows server. It is very beneficial for me In terms of productivity and my day to day jobs the experiences is smooth because of the interface.

**What do you like best about Windows Server?**

I have been using it for a long time, and most of our applications are running on a windows server, and believe me, it's effortless to configure, manage and monitor. The support system is superb. IIS is the best tool available in windows server to mange web applications.

**What do you dislike about Windows Server?**

Sometimes it behaves unexpectedly, and I have to restart the server to run the application. Updates are also persistent. The security features should be improved in comparison with other available servers.

It is straightforward to manage and work on a windows server compared to other servers available. If you need good support and online references, kindly go for this server.

In our organization, we are multiple web applications. Still, we lack human resources, so we are using a windows server, and a single developer can manage this without extra effort. Remote connection (RDP) is the best feature in the windows server.

The best thing about the windows server is Its simplicity and all the required function and instances are available on this server. It's powerful, reliable, and very easy to manage. without any extra manpower we can manage this server, its all features are very proven like AD, DHCP, DNS, RD Gateway, and RDP service is the best and secure for remote connection.

Upgrading to the next version and application migration service should be easier and its price is some level of high than another server available in the market.

I like the lookup function like in win10.

Cannot rename quick access  in Explorer-unlike win2012

**Recommendations to others considering Windows Server:**

1. Ease of use - win2019 way better than win2012/2016. If you know the name of what you are looking for, just type in the lookup bar.
   Windows Updates is very fast.

2. Performance - the application runs faster and seems to use less RAM on win2019 compared to previous versions although the base win2019 (without any applications) uses slightly more RAM than win2012.

What i like of this OS is the easy of implementation and the documentation you can find on communities. There are also tons of way you can customize this OS and all the software in the world in developed for this OS

**What do you dislike about Windows Server?**

I don't like the support policies and the way of OS updates are pushed to the servers. Patches should be tested before going in production, avoiding a lot of problems to system administrators.

I solved a lot of problems like authentication and authorization, file sharing, integration with third parties software, maintenance and implementation times. With the new releases also a lot of problem of stability

**What do you like best about Windows Server?**

Cool part is that, gives very attractive ui with all the required info on IIS. More secure, fix most of the issues via system recovery, automatic updates and long term support. Creation of Infra like websites and app pools etc becomes easy. When it comes to deployment, just stop everything run deployment and restart services again with one click how cool is that.

**What do you dislike about Windows Server?**

Not suitable as multi user system. Cost wise it costs more compared to Linux servers. Most of the security tool are third party paid tools. Lack of Decent automation tools etc.

Most of the time when I used a junction link in the project steps of continuous delivery, when I run the pipeline from Octopus, steps says successful but the websites and app pools are not starting. Most of the times on stop state. Each time I need to logged into the server and turn them on.

It is a great server, but sometimes you need to start a few services which got stuck during business operations. However, they have made the service significantly better as the restart of servers is not required anymore.

The most common feature that bothers us at some point is security breaches, in this case the updates are necessary but they turn out to be too heavy and require installation almost weekly.

the recommendations would be to have a knowledge of operating systems, plus a bit of servers, service administration, network and telecommunications

**What do you like best about Windows Server?**

It is user-friendly, easy to install and configure. Configure AD, DHCP, DNS, and printing services in a single platform. Hyper-V makes the virtualization to create multiple servers.

**What do you dislike about Windows Server?**

Core based licencing is little high for the small organization. Windows update (security patches) takes lots of time to update. Sometimes server behaves abnormally then restart will resolve the problem.

Highly recommended as the product is easily install, configur and manage. Windows server has many inbuild services services that can be configured and used as per the requirment. Windows update can easly be insall only internet connectivity is required

Scripting saves lots of time and effort. SQL as a backend works very well. Hyper-V saves multiple requirement of the physical server, which saves money.  Web application runs very well.

It has one of the best, granular ways of user management and permission delegations. It has the nice ui based server which is very interactive and convininent for new users as well

**What do you dislike about Windows Server?**

The programmatic way of configuring things in the windows server is not as flexing and good as doing on a Linux server. A lot of libraries and package for using programmatic way is lacking

I use it for users management, integrating AD. I use it for the application deployment, development and running automation scripts and tasks.

Ease of usage is one of the major positives for Windows server , I have been  using this system for more than 5 years and keep loving it .

There isn't much to dislike about this system,they continously update the software

Easy to use graphics
System recovery is very easy 
Drivers upto date are easily available

Prone to malwares
Security related issues
Not easy with multi user accounts
Licensing cost is quite high

Most of my company clients are using latest version of windows to keep health and hospital related data
Easy to access and effective cost usage.
There is no issue with high cpu utilisation

Hyperthreading and Virtualization are the best. The new interface and features in Networking and support are great

Security has been a major constrain right from the beginning. Especially for Workgroup centric functions

Easy to Connect with various Servers through ADDS. Virtualization is bliss. I recommend using virtualization on the Windows Server.
