## Termly Reviews
  ### 1. Worst compliance solution

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tomáš N. | CMO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Termly?**

Pricing is the only positive thing of Termly

**What do you dislike about Termly?**

Everything was fine until I bought the plan, they assured me that after the end of the paid period they would switch me to the free version and the consent banner would continue to be displayed. However, after switching to the free version, my entire banner was canceled, support has not been communicating for a week, and it is not possible to create a banner again.

**What problems is Termly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Showing consent banner on my website

  ### 2. No support, misleading features.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Termly?**

There is nothing in particular that I like.

**What do you dislike about Termly?**

It clearly states in the features that users can host the privacy policy on their website.

However, this is not true. It's only an embedded version that is actually hosted on Termly. Support hasn't responded in 3 weeks... No refund issued.

**Recommendations to others considering Termly:**

I'd look for something different that offers users the ability to host their own privacy policy.

**What problems is Termly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realized no benefits.

  ### 3. Overpriced and overpromised

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Termly?**

You are able to create a compliant Privacy Policy & Terms of Use in less than 10 minutes.

**What do you dislike about Termly?**

On their own website, they claim, "if you upgrade to a premium membership, you can build policies for as many sites and apps as you need." However, this isn't true. Their "Pro" plan costs $120 annually and all you are able to create is ONE privacy policy and ONE terms of use for ONE website.

When I contacted the company pointing out this fatal flaw in their advertising, they stated that pricing changes were made in February 2019 to limit Pro Plans and Pro+ Plans to only one website. This change was never announced or shared with the public – not even on their pricing page (https://app.termly.io/user/products).

My claim was forwarded to their "higher management," whose best remedy for the situation was to just update the wording on their website instead of, you know, fulfill their promise as a SaaS company.

Overall, it was an embarrassing display of customer service.

**Recommendations to others considering Termly:**

Avoid this service. If you saw it through Google Ads, it's because they shouldn't show up organically. Find a cheaper solution.

**What problems is Termly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. It is incredibly overvalued. I will be using a different generator for much, much cheaper.
