## Termius Reviews
  ### 1. Modern Featureful Client-side SSH Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arman M. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

The UI/UX feels ahead of most competitors, and it still offers rich features without the kind of painful bugs that get in the way. For example, I always had to manually update SSH config file to manage differnt SSH hosts with different authentication keys and ports and stuff. But Termius made it by far easier and only needs some clicks with its painless UI/UX to do the job correct and clean. It also supports the GitHub Student Pack, which lets verified students access premium features.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

I had a lot of trouble using Termius on my Android phone with the Microsoft Swift keyboard. I remember it behaving intermittently when I tried to enter special characters (like CTRL), though I’m not exactly sure which ones caused the issue.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had to open many terminal tabs to manage multiple ssh sessions at the same time, and also had to manually edit the ssh config file to add a new host, while its syntax was not very straightforward and sometimes was frustrating to add some specific config to it. Also after droping a ssh session, the Termius made it very easy to reconnect by auto retry and puting a button there to try again. Also, it keeps log of closed sessions and so you could go back to the result of commands at any time.

  ### 2. Beautiful UI and Smooth Performance for Managing Linux VPS Servers

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mihiranga R. | DevOps and Backend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

Termius stands out because of its beautiful, user-friendly UI/UX and excellent performance. It makes connecting to and managing different Linux VPS servers incredibly simple and organized. The tool provides a much better terminal experience than the default windows cmd

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

What I dislike most is that many of the advanced features—like secure data syncing across multiple devices, team collaboration, and the built-in SFTP client—are locked behind a somewhat expensive subscription tier. For independent developers or students working on small projects, a slightly more affordable mid-tier option or expanded free features would be highly beneficial.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Termius solves the problem of managing multiple remote VPS connections and credentials efficiently. Instead of manually using basic command prompts or keeping track of separate IP addresses, it acts as a centralized dashboard. It simplifies setting up network configurations and tunneling, saving me time and reducing the risk of connection errors while managing my servers.

  ### 3. Fast, User-Friendly SSH Manager with Great Features at a Fair Price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carmelo Jose C. | Programador principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

User-friendly interface, modern technologies, and above all, the ability to manage multiple SSH sessions, profiles, and groups, including connections to my services with integrations like AWS. But without a doubt, the app’s performance stands out compared to others. The price is definitely very reasonable for all the great features it offers.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

Maybe the color scheme in the terminal could be improved; it always shows up green, or at least mostly green.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit for me is that I don't have to create unnecessary SSH profiles; I can keep all my credentials and access information in one place, including on my phone, where everything is synced.

  ### 4. Intuitive UI with Handy Tabs, Organized Connections, and Built-In FTP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip D. | AVP for IT, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

The user interface is intuitive. I like several features, such as the tabs feature, organizing connections, and having an FTP client built in. Since I mostly use Linux, I also appreciate the keychain and being able to use saved account information for sudo.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

Not much, honestly. Maybe the cost and the limitations of the free version.
Also, some people might have concerns about privacy especially with the cloud-based ecosystem used in Termius.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an IT person, I manage many servers and connections. I’ve used multiple applications in the past, and I was extremely satisfied when I tried Termius. I’ve completely moved to using it, and my colleagues at work have as well.

Before Termius, I used to struggle with organizing my connections and memorizing my login credentials for sudo on Linux. With Termius, the app makes it very easy to organize my connections into groups. Also, whenever I needed to use sudo on my servers, I had to memorize the password or retrieve it from wherever I saved it. With Termius, I have the option to simply use the saved credentials.

I also used to use a separate FTP app for my FTP activities, but now I don’t need to do that with Termius. I can confidently say that Termius has saved me a lot of time managing my servers.

Another feature I really like and use a lot is the Snippets. In my work, I do a lot of routine tasks that require multiple commands. With Snippets, I can create the commands once and then reuse them over and over with one click whenever I need them. It’s a real time-saver for me.

  ### 5. One to rule them all.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark P. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

All of my connections are in one place. It replaced my terminal and other connection applications and I use it every day to help manage my servers.
-- update -- 2026-05-04 -- (may the fourth be with you) -- I really can't say enough about this app. The UI is perfect, it integrates into my workflow. This is a must have if you work with more than a few servers.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

It took me a while to get every thing setup.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows me to move between servers to allow me to have a solid baseline to work from.

  ### 6. Simple, Reliable Home Lab Access from Any Device

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

simple access to my home lab network, don't need to remember all my host names or IPs. I don't use any fancy functions, I just need an Linux terminal. I use the same software on my phone.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

nothing at this point, I dont use all the features so it is hard to give my comments one them, but the terminal capability and the cut and past from when links to terminal or from the terminal to AI assistant

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a home user .

  ### 7. Total versatility: local and cloud servers, easy to use from any device

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erik C. | Tech Lead | Software Engineer Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

I love its versatility: I can manage my local servers and also integrate it with my cloud servers. Additionally, being able to use it from different devices provides me with great ease of use and allows me to switch from one device to another while performing my daily tasks. I use it daily to solve various tasks.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

It's difficult to point out anything wrong with Termius, but if I have to mention something, sometimes I feel that there is a lack of integrated documentation within Termius to fully take advantage of all the workflows.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Termius is a tool that allows you to centralize the most important aspects for managing servers, groups, and connections, and even Snippets. Additionally, being such a secure tool that allows switching between devices, I can work from wherever I need.

  ### 8. Seamless Cross-Platform SSH with Modern UI, SFTP, and Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael Q. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

Cross-platform sync – Your hosts, keys, and settings sync seamlessly across macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android. Modern UI/UX – A clean, intuitive interface that feels more approachable than many traditional terminal apps. Built-in SFTP – Simple file transfers without needing to switch tools. SSH key management – Convenient, straightforward handling of keys across devices. Port forwarding – Clear, visual management of SSH tunnels. Snippets – Save and reuse frequently used commands to speed up routine work. Team collaboration – Share hosts and settings with team members.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

Technical Limitations

There’s no native mosh support (mobile shell for flaky connections). SFTP performance can also be slower than dedicated clients like FileZilla or rsync. I’ve run into occasional sync issues where keys or hosts don’t always propagate correctly across devices, which can be frustrating. Terminal appearance customization is also fairly limited compared to iTerm2 or Alacritty.

UX Frictions

The mobile app interface is polished, but it can feel cramped when you’re trying to do more complex terminal work. For some power users, the more “app-like” design can get in the way of raw terminal efficiency. And there aren’t any built-in tmux or screen integration advantages—you still have to manage those manually.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’ve been using Termius mainly to manage server access across multiple devices, and here’s what’s genuinely working well for me.

Zero-friction switching: I can open my laptop and see the exact same servers configured as on my phone. There’s no manual setup, and I’m not stuck keeping IPs and credentials scattered across notes or random files.

Single source of truth: When I add a new server or rotate a key, the update propagates to all my devices automatically. I no longer have to remember to tweak configurations on every machine.

Consistency of experience: Whether I’m on macOS, Windows, or just pulling out my phone to quickly check something, the interface feels the same. I don’t waste time relearning where everything is.

The core problem I needed to solve was straightforward: reliable server access without the hassle of managing SSH configs across 3+ devices. Termius handles that syncing reliably, and that’s honestly the main reason I keep paying for it.

  ### 9. Simple, Powerful, and Bloat-Free—Does Everything I Need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark N. | Programmer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

It is simple and powerful. It does everything I need without a ton of bloat.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

I would pay for Terminus but they only operate as a subscription model. The free tier works great. I wish I could support them, but I'm not signing up for a subscription.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a macOS user, the native terminal is fine, but Terminus is nicer to use. The built in SFTP file transfers is a bonus.

  ### 10. Simple, Clear Vision—Exactly What I Need. :D

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

‍Benefits of debugging software.

  ### 12. Friendly UI That’s Easy to Use—No Technical Expertise Needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

The user interface is friendly so I don't need much technical knowledge to be able to use.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

I don't know, maybe Termius doesn't have native AI integration into the CLI yet? But I don't think this is a big deal. Everything is so good so far.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Termius act as a bridge between me and all GPU servers I used to train AI models. I don't have personal GPUs so I often need to rent GPUs charged fee by hour. Termius help me do things (SSH, SFTP) real quick so I can get the most out of every Dong (I am from Viet Nam).

  ### 13. Securely Store Multiple Connections and Passwords with Termius

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

I can store multiple connectivity along with Passwords in the secret format in Termius

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

Dislike is the differentiation between multiple nodes has to be taken care seperately with unique names that has to be memorized

I use Termius to connect with CLI of the endpoints which i want to access and store the credentials during my first login using termius

  ### 14. Termius Platform...........why not?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nickolas L. | Network Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Termius?**

Termius is very user-friendly and offers a wide range of features, from a standard terminal to SSH—which I use daily—and Telnet. I appreciate being able to save all my passwords and snippets within the app. Most importantly, the editable/specific sections are color-coded, which is extremely helpful when reviewing switch configurations to verify information.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

Overall, I find this to be a solid product, but I am disappointed by the absence of an autosave feature for log files to a folder, a convenience that Putty offers. I was also initially confused by the copy function—highlighting text automatically copies it, while I kept right-clicking, thinking it would save, but instead it just made the command reappear. Another drawback for me is that scrolling isn't possible without a mouse unless you highlight something first to make the scroll bar show up. Lastly, the autocomplete function works on my ioT devices, but not my computer/laptop.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have yet to encounter any issues or problems that would warrant assistance from Termius.

  ### 15. Quick, Easy, and Eliminates Repetitive Copy-Pasting

  ### 18. Intuitive and Convenient: All Connections and Keys in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

  ### 19. Revolutionized SSH Management Across Devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dewesh P. | Cyber Security Engineer, Computer & Network Security, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

What I like most about Termius is its centralized SSH key management and secure cross-device syncs, which simplify managing multiple environments. The host grouping and snippets features have significantly improved operational efficiency during repetitive admin and troubleshooting tasks.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

Termius could improve its advanced system logging and audit capabilities, especially for enterprise use cases requiring compliance tracking. Additionally, deeper integration with cloud native, IAM roles, and more granular authentication would be beneficial.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Termius to manage multiple SSH hosts and credentials, centralizing key management for various environments. It streamlines my remote tasks with secure cross-device syncs and enhances operational efficiency with host grouping and snippets.

  ### 20. Termius Makes Multi-Server Management Effortless on Mac

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay v. | Founder - Technical AI Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Termius?**

I currently need to access four different servers from my Mac, and Termius has proven to be by far the best solution for this. I tested five different tools, and every time I ended up coming back to Termius. The experience is smooth, intuitive, and visually appealing, and it simply works better than anything else I tried. I find the snippets feature especially helpful, as it allows me to quickly run recurring scripts and command sequences. The tab system also makes it easy to manage multiple server sessions at once, and overall the interface feels very well-designed and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

The only thing I would love to see added is an option to open new sessions in separate windows instead of only in tabs. Having both options would make multitasking even more flexible.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Termius solves the challenge of efficiently managing and connecting to multiple remote servers from one place. Instead of juggling different terminal windows or SSH configurations manually, Termius gives me a centralized, streamlined interface where I can quickly connect, organize hosts, and reuse saved commands. This not only saves time but also reduces errors and improves productivity, especially when switching frequently between several servers. Features like snippets and secure credential management make repetitive tasks faster and more consistent, allowing me to focus on actual work instead of setup and connection overhead.

  ### 21. One of my everyday tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon G. | Desarrollador web, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Termius?**

I like being able to manage my infrastructure simply, and it allows me to keep everything in order

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

As with any product, having to pay for certain things isn't something I like, but I know it's necessary

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

to have order and ease of working with different types of connections to manage my infrastructure

  ### 22. All-in-one Terminal experience out of the box

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin v. | Freelancer, Computer Networking, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Termius?**

Cloud synchronization of Vaults
Ability to save hosts, users, groups, tags, ...
Built-in Terminal (Console)
Views in tabs
History of connections and commands in Terminal
Snippets (autocompletion/aliases for commands)
Key management
File transfers using SFTP protocol
Nice simple design
Feels fairly light on resources
Various light/dark themes to choose from
Fairly well integrated into the system
Available as Flatpak and Snap

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

Generally a commercial product
Automatic light/dark theme switching does not work in KDE Plasma 6 (Wayland) - Requires user interaction with it
It is not open-source; the source code cannot be (re)viewed . . .
There is no official RPM package for Termius, only DEB; Can be used mine:
Unsure if the theming fits better into QT or GTK
Confusing & missmatching changelogs - Websites mentions version: 9.10.0 - 2024/12/20, but the latest possible version to obtain is 9.9.0 - 2024/12/05 from the DEB package/Flatpak or Snap.
Prices of the paid features

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None,
It is a great addition to already many other terminals/consoles available for Linux . . .

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 哲朗 . | CEO/TCO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Termius?**

Where you can arrange multiple session windows as you like and use them.Where you can arrange multiple session windows as you like and use them.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

It does not remember the state set of multiple sessions laid out, so after each startup, it is necessary to recreate each screen one by one.

If even one session crashes, all displays become invisible due to the reconnection screen.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's very convenient to be able to configure multiple sessions, such as routers, OS, NAS systems, etc., all in one screen at once.

  ### 25. Intuitive UI and Free Team Work Management with Termius

Termius is, so far, amazing for me and I can't find a downside of using Termius in the past 6 months

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Termius solved the mobile SSH problem that cpanel really suck at. Termius provides a fast, reliable SSH connection with my host and let me and my team assess issues on my server quickly without needing a computer.

  ### 34. Cross-Platform SSH Client for Server Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca P. | Chief Operations Officer DEQUA Studio | Formerly CTO in MarTech, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Termius?**

Termius delivers a robust SSH client experience with strong organizational features and cross-platform support. Its encrypted vaults and host management streamline remote server access, though pricing and occasional stability issues warrant consideration.

What I like
Host and group architecture organizes infrastructure logically. Hosts represent machines with IP-based metadata and protocol configurations, while groups enable hierarchical organization with inherited settings. This structure replaces fragmented connection strings with unified device management.

End-to-end encrypted vaults provide secure collaboration and access control. Vaults store all connection data (hosts, keys, snippets) while allowing granular permission management across teams. The SOC 2 Type II compliance and local encryption ensure enterprise-grade security.

Cross-platform availability across macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android maintains consistent access. Synchronization enables seamless transitions between devices without reconfiguring connections.

Productivity features enhance workflow efficiency:

	•	Command Palette for keyboard-driven navigation

	•	SFTP file transfers within the interface

	•	Snippets for reusable command templates

	•	Multiplayer sessions for real-time terminal collaboration

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

Nothing that I don't like or doesn't work well

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Termius eliminates manual SSH command memorization and repetitive credential entry. By centralizing server management in an encrypted repository, it reduces connection errors and setup time for distributed infrastructure.
It resolves collaboration barriers through shared vaults and real-time terminal sharing, enabling coordinated troubleshooting without screen-sharing tools. For mobile administration, it provides full server access during emergencies, replacing impractical command-line inputs on smartphones.

  ### 44. The best solution for a novice of remote SHH server management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gianluca S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Termius?**

I'm a C++ creative coder for multimedia art, working in MacOS and Linux with graphics and audio. I mainly use IDE's like Xcode and Qt, I also like to use some line commands but never approached things like manage a remote server by a terminal. For a particular job I had to do it and was so bored by continuously typing in the terminal commands, addresses, passwords, for each minimum thing I had to do. I was wondering why no one developed an UI for all this stuff. So searching for a solution, I found it in Termius. It's the perfect one. It stores login credentials, shortcuts, commands, I can browse the remote server file system via SSH also easily upload/download files. Everything is quickly done in a nice and easy UI.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

There are tons of Termius features which I don't use nor I even understand, but of course I'm not minimally affected by them.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Termius helped in speeding up to the max the management of a remote web server for a particular desktop app I am developing on behalf of a client in the showbusiness. Termius helps me in quickly access and do whatever task on the remote server without typing infinite sequences of commands, improving dramatically the workflow.

  ### 45. A powerful SSH client that simplifies server management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bishwajit A. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Termius?**

Termius makes SSH access incredibly simple and efficient with its clean UI and cross-platform support. I love how it stores all my server credentials securely and syncs them across devices, which saves me a lot of time. The ability to organize hosts into groups and tag them makes server management easier, especially when working with multiple environments. It also supports snippets, which is a great productivity booster.

**What do you dislike about Termius?**

While Termius is feature-rich, some of the more advanced capabilities like team sharing or cloud sync are locked behind a paywall. It would be nice if more features were available in the free version. Also, the mobile app sometimes struggles with keyboard responsiveness during longer sessions, which slightly affects usability on the go.

**What problems is Termius solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a Laravel developer managing multiple servers, Termius simplifies my workflow by securely storing SSH credentials and allowing quick, passwordless access to remote servers. It saves me time, reduces human error, and makes switching between environments seamless—especially when working across multiple projects and clients.
