The two best things about TeraTerm are: 1) it's flexible and 2) it's free. You can customize the settings to connect to any host or port that you need. I also appreciate that you can switch between black background w/ white text and white background w/ black text. TeraTerm is only available for Windows, so if you're running a Mac you'll need to find another option (or use Remote Desktop). Also, TeraTerm is open source, so you're not going to get professional support for this product. TeraTerm can be as complete as you like. You can build a list of connections to save or just enter your information each time you connect. It also includes connecting via serial - more tools of this nature are offering that now, but for a while it was hard to find.
