Tenet by TrueMadeAI is K-12 AI governance software for school districts. It turns district policy into controls for supported direct AI use on managed Chrome and for approved backend AI operations inside district applications. Tenet is designed to help districts move beyond a policy document and apply clear rules where AI is actually used. Tenet Edge is the browser layer. Administrators can establish approved-AI rules, optionally block detected unapproved AI chat and writing interfaces, and apply on-device data loss prevention on supported paths where it is configured. Tenet Basic provides a roster-free district baseline. Tenet District adds policy context for grade, roster, class, teacher, subject, period, and schedule, so a district can distinguish between appropriate uses instead of treating every user, class, and moment the same. Controls and coverage vary by product surface, content type, configuration, and rollout scope. Tenet Gateway is the complementary application layer and is currently offered through a founding-district program. It is designed to authorize approved backend AI operations before an approved model deployment is called, using application identity, purpose, data, model, budget, and evidence rules. This gives district-built and connected AI applications a common governance path instead of requiring a new set of controls for every project. Tenet is not a general web filter, a student chatbot, or a walled garden. It does not replace district judgment, vendor review, or legal advice. Its purpose is to make K-12 AI policy more operational across the AI products people use and the applications districts build. TrueMadeAI develops Tenet for school district technology, privacy, curriculum, and administrative leaders who need practical control without unnecessarily taking custody of sensitive classroom interactions or district data.
