An example is when we are pulling data and there is not a place to pull the OS with the other data. Everything at your fingertips. The Admin side shows you the status of all your configured devices, Nessus Scanners and Agent Managers, Nessus Network Monitors, etc. In contrast, the User side gives you easy access to create and manage scans and all the parts that go into them with easy-to-use, intuitive templates. **What do you dislike about Tenable Security Center?** This is a hard question to answer. Tenable does a great job with its suggestions portal and addresses needs and wants in the tool fairly regularly. Anyone who has seen version 5.23.1 will agree it is probably one of the biggest leaps Tenable.sc has ever made. If I were forced to choose one downside, it would be more of a backend issue than anything else. SQLite...That is all I have to say about that. **What problems is Tenable Security Center solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tenable.sc finds the holes that your patching solution misses. All the patch tool knows is that you need such and such KB or patch version. Tenable.sc and Nessus will let you know that the patch alone did not resolve the issue. It also lets you know which vulnerabilities in your environment pose the most risk, based on whether it is actually being exploited in the wild. ### 8. The ability to connect multiple Nessus scanners to Security Center and manage them from there, plus being able to track progress with in the tool is a must to have. **What do you dislike about Tenable Security Center?** Working with multiple repositories can be difficult. At the same time when running agent scans some duplicated results can be found. I believe the latest version has a new repository called universal to help with this issues. **What problems is Tenable Security Center solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need to detect vulnerabilities in the environment and work with internal teams to prioritize and mitigate according to criticality. Being able to run multiple networks and agents scan allow us to cover the entire footprint of the organization. You've forgotten about us Compliance users. **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022 **What do you like best about Tenable Security Center?** Once a Compliance scan audit template is setup (XML editing is painful and takes the most wasteful effort, & we don't like at all), requesting a scan is easy. **What do you dislike about Tenable Security Center?** Having to manually update a very large population of XML audit files for similar control parameters (i.e. password length = 8 across the environment). 06.05.2023 - with recent updates your engineering team has not considered how we truly use the product or have not designed for ease of use. i.e. when generating reports in the Compliance module, multiple reports are generated for each scan... you literally have to select each one individually, download, then unselect and go select the next, you can not select multiple to download at once - the way you used to be able to. It's rediculous. Personally, I'm frustrated with your Tenable support telling me our audit files are "customized" because of us changing a password length from 12 to 8 and they classify it as a custom XML - and won't provide support unless I go to my account rep and complain. It's just not good customer service. You can do better. Tenable.sc provides built-in trending/reports/dashboards and a ticketing system for assigning vulnerability remediation tasks to specific users. Nessus is fine for small businesses for visibility, but if you have to start complying with vulnerability management program policies Tenable.sc is a neccessity. **What do you dislike about Tenable Security Center?** Setting up Tenable.sc you have to take some best practices into consideration to get your asset lists and scans setup properly and most effectively. However, if a customer wants to scan his network periodically, we often recommend the usage of Tenable.sc. It's easy to use, provides a good overview of the customers assets and the dashboard/quick report feature helps the customer to get a quick glance on his biggest problems. **What do you dislike about Tenable Security Center?** Tenable.sc comes in several price tiers, where the lowest one starts somewhere at 500 IPs. It quickly and easily identified vulnerabilities and helped us patch them across our wide area network. It was fairly easy to deploy although our was a bit more challenging than most as we do not have a hyper-v or esxi environment to deploy the VMs on. So we had to go old school and spin up a CentOS Linux server which support was not to familiar with and there wasn't a lot of documentation on. But even with those challenges, once up and running it was very simple to use and run some very powerful network vulnerability scans on all endpoints throughout the wide-area network. **What do you dislike about Tenable Security Center?** The support I have received from both the technical support team and my dedicated CSM was, as I said in the title, abysmal. I had an issue that was essentially stopping the entire product from working and I had a security audit doing on and both support entities could no have cared less. They were, at best, aloof and unconcerned to the issues I was having with their product and at worst blatantly and willfully indifferent and apathetic. Even after I explained the time constraints I was under, there was no escalation of the problem or even any escalations in the frequency of communications. I've seen some bad technical support and customer service, but Tenable takes it to a whole new level. **Recommendations to others considering Tenable Security Center:** The product seems really good. We were looking at adding the LCE (Log Correlation Engine) at the time we had our last issue with Tenable.sc. But due to the horrific customer support, we will not be renewing and looking for a different product to fit this need.
