We recently deployed and I found Telnyx to be super easy and their customer service were great and responsive. We use them with a SIP trunk provider and Unifi Talk and are pleased with how easy it was to setup.

We have tested & used several IoT providers before selecting Telnyx. They offer the best coverage, with more agreements in North America than any other company. It is the most reliable IOT network I have ever used. Even in remote places my devices still pick up the signal. Configuration is straightforward and the SIM is compatible with many devices including mobile routers if you need coverage for a laptop and are in a remote area. Implementation was easy. Simply insert the card, add the configuration, and deploy. Customer support is always responsive with Telnyx and even if they cannot solve your problem they always point me in the right direction. I used Telnyx IOT sims heavily through the pandemic. The latency is really poor. Ping responses are consistently above 200ms which makes anything requiring realtime connection unusable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use some of Telnyx's SIP services and I don't like how they charge more for short duration calls, but I do understand they need to do that to combat spam calls, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My Wife and I have been using Telnyx since 2020 to support our home based businesses. We host our own FreePBS server on a dedicated fiber internet connection. Telnyx stood out with a quick, no money down instant availibity phone number that allowed me to roll out the FreePBX installation in just a few hours and have a pretty full featured Business Class phone system for very little out initial of pocket expense.

The Telnyx support staff were pretty great helping us when we hit snags and were able to port our Google Voice and MagicJack numbers over to their system pretty efortlessly. We were able to add numbers as our needs grew with Telnyx's number search, narrowing down the area code and even prefix to ensure that the number we chose close matched out actual geographical location. Something other providers either didn't do, or charged a fee to do.

Since Telnyx is a VOIP provider their Wireless SIM data cards can be a bit pricey compared to the big Cell providers, but the SIM cards through Telnyx are great for handy back SIMs for light usage. Shipping and provisioning of the SIM is pretty quick too, usually about 5 days from the time your order to provisioning.

In short, the overall cost of running a "roll your own" PBX alongside Telnx is a pretty good alterntive to the other more "popular" VOIP providers out there fitting small and large budgets alike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We did have one big issue last year. There was a billing mistake that we didn't catch. I had though I made a configurtion error in the FreePBX setup, but when I logged in to Telnyx I saw that my account was in the negative. since we had jsut paid our bill this was unusuall. After a few emails, phone calls and an escaltion it was determined that Telnyx had indeed made an error and credited back the charge and cost for our downtime. It was a small amount and took a couple off weeks, but for a micro-business it really didn't hurt. That was the only real "bad" exerience. Just cutrting through the "red-tape" and low level tech support to prove that it was a Telnyx error too more time than it should have. But in the end, Telnyx made good on the error and all was well.

The only other issue is the documentation wiki's can be pretty daunting and not for the faint of heart. Though armed with those documents, some decent YouTube videos and a few Discord channels and the usually quick response from tech support most issues are easy to solve. Telnyx has a higher cost per MB for data used than we have elsewhere. If data usage is very low, this is not a big factor. In our case we have circumstances that can use a lot of data and become expensive very quick. The value of having multicarrier support offsets the cost for us and we find the service very reliable.
