What do you like best about Tekmetric?
When we switched from using RO Writer to Tekmetric, it was like going from Atari to Playstation 5. It's SO thoughtfully well designed and they LISTEN to their users and make changes to make their lives easier. The product has gone through so many updates in a few years I've been using them. The updates are always well thought out. Anytime I've ever needed personal help using the product, their support team is very responsive and helpful. I can't recommend Tekmetric any higher.
What do you dislike about Tekmetric?
Being web based can be tricky sometimes. It's a little cumbersome on a phone (don't use it much on a tablet). I know there's a lot of demand for an app but I can understand why that might be more challenging to manage an iOS and Android app. Because the product is entirely web based, if their servers ever go down, I'm completely cut off but any time that has happened, Tekmetric acts quickly the minimize downtime.
What problems is Tekmetric solving and how is that benefiting you?
It puts everything together in one space for service writers and technicians - techs can do their vehicle inspections and writers can build jobs and source parts easily all within the same area.

What do you like best about Tekmetric?
Tekmetrics is definitely living in the 21 century. the program is user-friendly, fast, and support is always available by phone or chat to help with any issues you may have.
What do you dislike about Tekmetric?
I don't like that it doesn't remind techs to clock out of jobs if they have been clocked in overnight. If it could send out an email the way it does for the timeclock that would be stellar.
What problems is Tekmetric solving and how is that benefiting you?
We haven't had any problems with tekmetric so far besides the few hours the parts tech server failed. the benefits are that support is a click away and they are quick to reply and problem solve. the program is consistently being updated to become the most robust POS platform.

Nothing I can think of for the moment, Anytime we think of something and submit it they usually upgrade it. Love the system so far

Its always working, we came from ro writer and it was always going down.

What do you like best about Tekmetric?
Easy to set up and very intuitive to use.
What do you dislike about Tekmetric?
Some minor features such as reporting items and ability for tech to save inspection while performing the inspection.
Recommendations to others considering Tekmetric:
We started our business using Mitchell but came to realize that sales tax would randomly be wrong or not charged at all which they could never fix after hours on hold and waiting for tech support. We then changed to RO Writer and used them for about 8 years and that worked ok with exception of many hours of set up and it was windows based. Had to upgrade and then started having lots of problems and the support went downhill. Tekmetric was easy to get set up for our go live date and since going live their support team is awesome. First and second week lots of support chats got us going in the right direction with things. One thing I would say is make sure you take the time to get EVERYTHING set up before going live. We only had to make some minor setting adjustments and now it's working really good.

Saving $$$ monthly by having a POS and DVI in one product. Better more efficient work flow.

What do you like best about Tekmetric?
Where speed of service is essential to have the bandwidth to serve customers with empathy and compassion, there is only one program! Tekmetric is clean and user-friendly! If you can use a smartphone, you should be able to Jump in and start changing lives with Automotive Service Excellence! I have used Shopboss, R.O. Writer, and Mitchell to write estimates at my previous jobs, and Tekmetric is by far my favorite application for creating tickets. Everyone thought Def Leppard was over when the drummer lost an arm, no more stick twirls. No more crazy drum fills; the future was very DIM. How could they follow up Pyromania? How could a software company follow up the trusted programs?? BY KEEPING IT SIMPLE. That's why I love Tekmetric, and that's why HYSTERIA was the Biggest Def Leppard ALBUM ever! Taking it back to the basics, letting the kick and snare fill the arena, while Steve Clarke(R.I.P.) did spins around the stage shredding melodic solos. Just like myself, headbanging to Pantera blasting through the speakers in the shop while going out to a car to check it in with my iPad and having the recommended maintenance already on the ticket before I walk back in the shop. I feel good about it.
What do you dislike about Tekmetric?
I have no issues. Personally, The frequent updates keep making it better. I love the feature where you can make suggestions and they get resolved.
What problems is Tekmetric solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because Tekmetric is web-based I have access to it anywhere. I have it in the parking lot, at home, basically, anywhere I have 5g or wifi on my iPad. I never feel like I am out of the loop. Very Convenient. Inventory, returns, credits, cores, are alot easier to keep up with than any other competetors.
