"Tecnomatix Makes Manufacturing Simulation and Workflow Coordination Seamless"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tecnomatix?

Tecnomatix has strong capabilities for accurately simulating manufacturing processes before implementation. It lets me validate preparation procedures and check motion-sequence performance for both robots and humans without having to stop production. As a result, the overall workflow is easier to coordinate and manage. Siemens tools are excellent and they also help me cross-check material flow from the SAP MM side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tecnomatix?

It doesn’t support an external API for customer specific integrations and the cost may be too high for smaller businesses. Overall Tecnomatix offers a broad range of functions and delivers useful insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smooth Integration, Needs Better Training"
4/5
What do you like best about Tecnomatix?

I really enjoy Tecnomatix for its integration with motion capture systems like Accent, which makes my experience very smooth. The integration optimizes timing and research time by allowing real-time streaming of human movement data. This has significantly boosted my productivity. I also like how well it handles workstation optimization, and have used it for multiple iterations and designs without any issues. It's so smooth and offers valid data with the biomechanical models, providing real-time insights and enhancing process evaluation and optimization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tecnomatix?

I think there are a few areas where Tecnomatix could improve. Our customers mentioned they wanted more elaborative training aspects. Having combined workshops or training sessions that integrate Tecnomatix with other systems like Accents would be a very good initiative. It would reduce a lot of time and provide valuable insights, especially from workshops. Also, the initial setup was a bit difficult because there wasn't proper training or a walkthrough. It took us about six months to a year to get accustomed to the software. It would really help if there were shortcuts or suggested ways to better use the software, so the actual usage time is minimized, and new users can benefit from the technology more efficiently. "Effortless Simulation and Seamless PLM Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tecnomatix?

I like the Plant Simulation interface with Teamcenter in Tecnomatix. It helps quickly get data from PLM to build the simulation model and increase productivity. I appreciate that the interface allows us to get process, layout, and product data in Plant Simulation without manual data creation. Also, the initial setup of Tecnomatix is straightforward, it's just a click away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tecnomatix?

Providing the additional object created in the Plant Simulation model and the development of the same. The source drain should be auto created objects in Plant simulation with every data interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Visual and Easy Tecnomatix Plant Simulation for Planning and Production"
5/5
What do you like best about Tecnomatix?

I love Tecnomatix because its highly visual and easy to understand. Its especially useful for plant simulation in the factory and for process work, since it helps us validate tooling and resources to achieve a successful result. We don’t just use it for planning we actually use it in production. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tecnomatix?

I haven’t had any problems using it. The options are easy to navigate and everything runs smoothly. Some of the features can feel a bit heavy at times, but it works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tecnomatix: a complete Digital Twin to simulate and optimize manufacturing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tecnomatix?

What I appreciate most about Tecnomatix is its ability to create a complete Digital Twin of manufacturing processes, allowing for modeling, simulating, and optimizing operations before their actual production. This offers real value by reducing risks, errors, and costs associated with physical testing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tecnomatix?

What I find most constraining about Tecnomatix is its rather steep learning curve. The platform is extremely rich in functionality, but this makes it complex for new users, often requiring time and training to fully exploit its capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Interface, Powerful Simulation, Steep Learning Curve"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tecnomatix?

I appreciate Tecnomatix for creating detailed virtual models of production lines, which let us test and optimize processes before making any physical changes. The simulation capabilities are remarkably accurate, helping us identify bottlenecks, balance workloads, and improve product lifecycle times without costly trial and error on the production floor. What stands out most is how intuitive the interface feels. Importing product data, building work cells, and analyzing material flow all happen in a smooth, integrated environment that enriches the product lifecycle management process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tecnomatix?

On the downside, the learning curve can feel a bit steep but continuous use has helped us overcome this obstacle. It took us a little longer than expected to complete the initial setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tecnomatix Delivers High-Quality Simulation for Deep Technical Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Tecnomatix?

We provide deep technical integration knowledge, including the ability to simulate PLCs and robots, along with key softwate elements. Compared with earlier sumulation tools we used, we were able to achieve better quality. Tecnomatrix is a strong tool for digital processes, helping turn creative concepts and raw ideas into a finsied result. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tecnomatix?

Tecnomatix layouts, along with weak resource planning, can sometimes create problems in my simulations. Even so, I really like the interface and it integrates smoothly with our software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Flexibility, Steep Learning Curve"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Tecnomatix?

I like that Tecnomatix offers a lot of flexibility. Even though Plant Simulation is primarily a production simulation tool, I'm using it for our warehouse operations. It allows us to create a digital twin of our operations and try out different scenarios to understand bottlenecks and operations better. I appreciate that it can work with historical data to drive processes and allows for changes and rerunning scenarios for improved insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tecnomatix?

The user interface is a bit complicated for a new user. Language is not fully Python, so you need to know how to code in Sim language. The initial setup was hard. Even after trying a 3-day tutorial and getting assistance from consultants, understanding was slow due to the project's huge scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Customization, Slow Performance"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Tecnomatix?

I think Tecnomatix is a good tool with a lot of functionality and possibilities to customize. The offline programming for spotweld applications works well too. I appreciate that we can configure the application to suit our standards and specifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tecnomatix?

It takes a long time to load studies. The integration to Teamcenter could be improved, like having a way to publish and revise in process simulate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Copilot Integration Streamlines Process Simulation and Hemming Operations"
5/5
What do you like best about Tecnomatix?

Copilot is integrated into the process simulation and the hemming operation tab. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tecnomatix?

One challenge we’ve heard is that when the CAD design changes significantly, engineers may have to update or even recreate the kinematics, and then revalidate the simulation from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
