It's not as good as Monday.com by any means and the interface is like an apple user threw up all over a website. There's SO much wasted space and bad organization of data - but, it tracks time spent on tasks better than any other app out there. And that's the ONLY reason we are still there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Teamwork.com? The interface hasn't hadn't had an upgrade in the years we've been using it. Compared to something modern like Monday.com it's a dinosaur interface. You can't do anything modern without upgrading. Want AI? Pay more. Want integration with hubspot? My bill would go from $84 a month to over $300 a month. No thanks. If there was anyone out there that could track time for invoicing as good I'd be gone. It's decent for setting up task dependencies and task lists and templates. We do a LOT of the same kind of work again and again, so that helps. It's very simple to use and is a good choice for our small design agency. It can't do everything, but it has most of the functionality we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Teamwork.com? Don't trust their sales people. In the sales process we very clearly stated that we wanted a task management solution with a Mac app. The sales team stated very clearly that there was an app with a dedicated team. A few weeks after we paid for a year we find out the Mac app is very very buggy. I send in several bug reports and wait. When I contact support about the bugs they tell me they've discontinued the Mac app, there is no dedicated Mac app team and I should just use the browser. I tell them what the sales team had told me and they just say they "understand my frustration". They won't bump up the issue to senior staff and they won't give me an apology. The best feature about Teamwork is the ability to track time and log billable hours. For revenue tracking, this is an important feature that is not yet available with other platforms. What do you dislike about Teamwork.com? I disklike everything. There are too many spaces and it is hard to navigate. There is a calendar tool which would be great if we used it in our company. But the confusion on how to find items, whether they are in the notebooks, project, planning area. It is chaotic. Does it integrate with other programs? I also find it crazy that in the notebook, the labeling of outlines is ridiculous. How does a main point that begins with 1. have a subpoint that is also 1. and a sub-subpoint that is also 1.? It social approach to the team collaboration, this working for small team and small IT and creative jobs, not what the large construction based projects. The risk management screen and methodology is a must have tools, well done. The notebook is great for project log ( but does not seem to have a mobile app yet). What do you dislike about Teamwork.com? No mobile app. Upload is limited to to some extent for the projects and the integration to google is necessary for large files. No direct add in for my outlook express, a feature which can allow emails to be directly entered into TeamWork projects. I’d like the option to view all the tasks that I’ve assigned myself, filtering out tasks given to me by other coworkers. Remembering monthly tasks in projects is helpful because I can set tasks to reoccur every month, week, etc. otherwise, I might forget to do those tasks! Another problem it solves is that with reoccurring tasks, I can keep the descriptions...so I never have to try and find the info I need, it’s always there every month. It’s also great for looking at historical data - if I am on a new project, I can view previously completed tasks to see how long they took other coworkers or any notes/feedback they added to the task. How top heavy Teamwork is and how one has to add a category to everything including uploads (would it not be possible just to add the category of the message?!). Most of all I hate how my browser and computer is crippled once I get five Teamwork Projects or Teamwork Desk windows open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Teamwork.com: If you can stand the heavy slow feel and endless memory consumed, Teamwork is a powerful suite. Personally I like fast lightweight software. Teamwork isn't it. Basecamp uses about one quarter the memory for each open tab but I'd like to find some software which is not hosted in the USA (Patriot Act style forced spying on users whether or not the SAAS agrees with those policies or not). I'm sure David and Jason at Basecamp would disagree with complying with a National Security Letter without notification but they are forced to do whatever the US three letter agencies demand, like it or not. Messages, tasks, time logging, export to Freshbooks (billing), chat. Unfortunately that's it's downfall. Teamwork is code heavy and takes up gigabytes and gigabytes of memory to run in the browser.
