I deal with 100+ computer from dozens of installation all around the world, and Teamviewer make it extremely easy. From the installation, that do not require installing individual licenses on specific computers, to the use, which if you ever used the free version of Teamviewer, you understand immediately. For complex installation, you can save the Teamviewer ID and password on your account, and different people in your company can have different accesses, making the maintenance of installation a breeze.

To me, Teamviewer is my everyday tool and is a no brainer for anybody that needs to maintain large parks of computers, maintain remote installations etc. I would recommend it to anybody that need to access a computer remotely or want / need to maintain / use any computer remotely. One little con regarding remote work, the video is not 100% continuous / seamless, meaning if you want to watch a video, there will be lost frames and you will not be able to see it with a good quality, as the use case is not to look at videos remotely but to do work / access a computer. This might sound obvious to users of the software but it is worth mentioning. Also, in the improvement section, I would note that the upload / download feature is mostly for files under 50Mo, for anything above 100-200Mo I would typically upload it somewhere online and use the link to download it outside of Teamviewer. TeamViewer provides powerful capabilities and intuitive control. I enjoy the file management interface in the agent's client that allows us to copy in and delete technician-use-only files. Teamviewer tends to be a bit fragile. Often times, my team will receive errors while attempting to connect to a customer's client that can only be resolved by restarting the agent's TeamViewer client. Inevitably, their client has updated in the background and will not function until manually relaunched in this way. I also have given up on using it as a Remote Desktop. I have not been able to successfully configure access to managed devices with either a dedicated password or 2FA. This is unfortunate because it was my go-to recommendation to customers that need to operate our software remotely (Windows RDP is not feature-rich enough to support all functions of our software). TeamViewer makes it easy to remotely connect to an employee's computer and troubleshoot issues in real time. I use it daily to support contact center agents with Workforce Management (WFM) and contact center applications, resolve audio and headset issues, and assist with password resets. TeamViewer allows me to access our sites and run operations without having to be there physically. I no longer need to drive from plant to plant to fix computer problems or change program settings. If a plant goes down or has an issue, I can log into that plant in seconds to troubleshoot and identify the problem. And when I’m not in front of my computer, I can do the same from my phone. While the new TeamViewer interface works well and looks very appealing, I feel it isn’t as user-friendly as the older interface. Some features that used to be easy to access now take extra mouse clicks to reach. It’s not a huge issue, but it still makes certain tasks take a little longer than they used to. Teamviewer allows me to seamlessly and securely access our customer's computers, facilitating easy and secure technical support and training. The Copy-paste function between mine and my customer's computers has become invaluable to me, and with the ability to save an entire library of remote computers easily TeamViewer has become synonymous with my employer's remote support system. The only thing I dislike about teamviewer is that every now and then a connection can be quite slow, I suspect due to the secure proxy that TeamViewer might use to connect.

Every now and then I have to resort to a lesser, harder to use remote-connection product from another company purely to connect to some customers to avoid a 10 second delay on my mouse, something that does not happen on other remote access software via the same connection.

TeamViewer is excellent remote software. Device and user management is good and simple to use. Security is also solid, and can be set as high as you wish. Moving files to remote machines is a breeze, and the multiple monitor support is great. You can view multiple monitors the way want to see them rather than being stuck with one method. TeamViewer decided to bundle a bunch of computer management tools, which of course are at extra cost. Frankly, better tools are available elsewhere. The management tools bloat the interface and can make it difficult to find the remote control. The new interface is similarly bloated and is a giant step backwards, burying commonly used items in sub-menus. I like that I can keep my entire fleet within this service and provide remote support when needed. Enrolling devices was generally straightforward. There are a few things that I do not like. The initial onboarding call was sped through. I understand that support knows the services front and back, but as a new user, I wish it would have been a little slower and included a test device to enroll. I use linux and the web works well 90% of the time but that other 10% is really felt when I am trying to connect to a device. I'm on Debian Linux and using Wayland, I cannot seem to get it to connect (yes, its in Beta). Can I change my session?
