## TeamViewer Reviews
  ### 1. v15 issues

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

It’s easy to use for connecting multiple users to a remote device, and when it works, it feels like a dream.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

The change from v11 to v15 has been terrible. I’m seeing more connection errors, and I feel lost with the new device group formats. I still prefer TV over Splashtop and AnyDesk, but using it can be a massive struggle at times, and it’s starting to put me off.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Issues are resolved more quickly, as it eliminates the time needed to visit the customer site in person to troubleshoot and fix problems.

**Official Response from Valeria Di Prisco:**

> Hello TeamViewer user,

Thank you for sharing your experience.

We're pleased to hear that TeamViewer helps you easily connect multiple users to remote devices and enables faster issue resolution without the need for on-site visits.

We also appreciate your candid feedback regarding the transition from version 11 to version 15, as well as the connection errors and changes to device groups. We understand how important a familiar and efficient workflow is when providing remote support.

  ### 2. Remote Help Is Useful, but Administration and Reliability Need Improvement

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

It provides Remote Help Service for our service Desk and Field Service

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

It is difficult to administer and the perceived reliability is not top

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Service Desk and FieldService are able to check Support Requests in an easy way.

**Official Response from Ying Qin:**

> Hi There,
Thank you for sharing your experience with TeamViewer. It's great to hear that the platform helps your Service Desk and Field Service teams provide support more easily and efficiently.

  ### 3. Well-known tool, but with usability and stability concerns

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** イコカ . | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2025

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

TeamViewer is widely recognized and commonly used, which makes it easier to explain how to use it to others. Many users are already familiar with the software, reducing the need for training and support during setup.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

There are times when the connection is unstable or difficult to establish, which affects usability. Frequent UI changes also make the interface harder to navigate, especially for long-term users. Additionally, it's common to be logged out and asked to re-authenticate when trying to use it, which can be disruptive. Compared to alternative solutions, the cost is relatively high.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TeamViewer solves the problem of providing remote access and support across geographical distances. It allows users to access and control devices from anywhere, eliminating the need for on-site visits and reducing response times and travel costs.

This is especially helpful for IT support and help desk operations, as it enables technicians to view and troubleshoot user issues directly. TeamViewer is widely used in organizations with multiple locations or remote work environments, making it a valuable tool for efficient and timely support.

**Official Response from Valeria Di Prisco:**

> Hello TeamViewer User,

We are sorry to hear about your experience with the new interface. We understand how challenging it can be when changes are made, especially when technology is meant to simplify our lives.

Therefore, we would like to invite you to click on the following link, where you will find a guide for the new UI in order to make your journey in TeamViewer easier: https://www.teamviewer.com/en/global/support/knowledge-base/teamviewer-remote/

  ### 4. To expensive these days

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

That it sometimes works the way we want it to.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

How expensive it has gotten the last few years.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

remoting into an office PC from outside the office.

**Official Response from Ying Qin:**

  ### 5. Versatile but expensive

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Industrial Automation

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

The versatility of controlling a computer remotely

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

Bugs in the web interface such as status offline even though the remote PC is online.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the software only to look at the remote desktop to be able to identify errors.

**Official Response from Ying Qin:**

> Hello TeamViewer user,
Thanks for sharing your experience. It’s great to know TeamViewer helps you remotely view desktops and quickly identify errors.
We appreciate you pointing out the issues you’re seeing with device status in the web interface. ### 6. Interface, license features and license costs, to complex to use.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

At the moment, very little.
Maybe speeds of the remote control.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

Agent management.
UI Interface of application.
Complex to use, and definitly with the new UI interface.
Costs of license.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

remote control my customers.

  ### 7. Difficulty receiving support and very long times

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2025

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

Maybe its interface, the rest in my case doesn't offer me anything compared to other products

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

Technical support is very slow and the responses are useless, there are many connection failures, and it is very difficult to reach support.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Frequent failed connections, often it does not connect automatically when starting the computer, which makes it necessary for someone to be at the computer to open it, and occasionally the connections are interrupted.

**Official Response from Valeria Di Prisco:**

> Good morning User,

We are very sorry about your experience with TeamViewer.

To be able to make a connection autonomously and avoid depending on the presence of personnel at the remote computer to authorize the connection, we would recommend installing a Host module on the remote side, which is designed for unattended or unsupervised connections. For details, please visit the following link: https://www.teamviewer.com/es/global/support/knowledge-base/teamviewer-remote/remote-control/provide-unattended-remote-support/

Also, regarding your comment about our technical support department, we will ensure that it reaches the appropriate team.

Best regards,

Valeria/TeamViewer

  ### 8. did not receive a phone call - as I had wished - no problem resolution after 2 months

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2025

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

the convenience, because I have been using it for about 20 years

increasingly worse performance - and increasingly unreachable support

Remote Control

  ### 9. Getting support shouldn't be this difficult

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

Stable. Easy to use. A standard application. Not much different from other remote connection applications.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

The effort and duration to reach support. Difficulty in getting help by phone and connecting. Support's very late response. In fact, tickets have still not been responded to. 48 hours have passed.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use remote desktop to provide support while working remotely.

**Official Response from Ying Qin:**

> Hi There,
Thank you for sharing the review about TeamViewer, and we are sorry to hear about the poor experience with our TeamViewer service. In order to turn things around and assist you further, can you kindly contact the TeamViewer Support Team at https://www.teamviewer.com/en/customer-support/? Additionally, we would like to invite you to TeamViewer Community https://community.teamviewer.com for any troubleshooting assistance and discussion.

Best,
Ying/TeamViewer

  ### 10. Clunky screenshare program

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin T. | Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2021

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

It was nice to use at first. Pretty intuitive and works on a mac. Google Remote Desktop stopped working properly when I got an M1 Mac Mini, so I tried this.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

It continues to disconnect me after several minutes and says I my session has ended.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting to my desktop remotely to run tasks while I'm out of the house.

  ### 11. Underwhelmed

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Farming | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

Screen sharing that usually works quite well.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

I dislike the outrageous pricing structure.

**Recommendations to others considering TeamViewer:**

If the price is acceptable for you, then this may be for you.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am no longer using TeamViewer due to the exorbitant pricing.

  ### 12. no longer worth

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremi B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2020

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

When it works it is great, but I do not know what a mess they do that is always incompatible with itself. Since you don't have the exact same version on the local and remote, there is no way. I have version 15.4 in one and 15.0 in another and "they are not compatilbes". What are they thinking about? If you want it to help a friend or help you, the only way is to uninstall it and reinstall the latest version both at the same time. And even then it may not be compatible with itself because the numbering of the latest versions that are for the app and the Chrome extension are not compatible

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

Before it was great, now it says impossible to connect since my partner has a newer version, download the latest versions on my computers since they have Windows, opensuse, Ubuntu and from the Google store and neither is compatible with the other, download all desktop versions from their official site ... spoiled a super tool ...

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It had been very useful for controlling remote computers, but now it is almost impossible to use

  ### 13. Commercial use suspected warning has made personal use impossible

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2020

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

It worked great before the warning. I was able to help my folks navigate computer issues from my home computer.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

Commercial use suspected warning made things impossible to remedy. You have to "apply" for reconsideration. No idea how they suspected anything commercial but it was 100% to help my folks. In the end - when COVID hit and I couldn't get past the ridiculous block - I switched to AnyDesk. Teamviewer is way too expensive for personal use and I just decided to find another solution. Very disappointing.

**Recommendations to others considering TeamViewer:**

Check out AnyDesk if you are concerned about commercial use detected BS

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was great for remote login to help my folks. I live 300KM away.

  ### 14. A service that has many connection failures, but which, if corrected, could be very useful.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2019

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

With TeamViewer you can, by using a specific password and ID, enter any other device that has this program installed. With this tool you can open, edit, delete and download any program on this computer without any limitation. There is no risk that they will enter your computer without permission if you have downloaded this program since only the people to whom you give them your ID and password will enter. The service is very easy to handle and has an affordable price for everyone.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

The biggest problem with TeamViewer is that when you are in the middle of a session, the connection is often cut off at any time, without any warning and with a good internet connection. This makes it virtually impossible to use TeamViewer for professional purposes, as it causes many problems with customers. The magnitude of this problem is so high that, due to disconnections, a session that should take 5 minutes takes up to 20 minutes. This is why I am considering stopping using TeamViewer soon.

**Recommendations to others considering TeamViewer:**

Do not use TeamViewer for your company since the only thing you are going to get is a bad reputation with your customers. If you want to use it, it is only for your personal purposes.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Despite its constant disconnections, TeamViewer has helped me solve everyday problems, such as opening files found on my home computer from my office computer. I do not usually use it for professional purposes because disconnections do not allow it. If this service solved this problem then it could be very useful.

  ### 15. What is this application?

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ANDREW S. | Customer Success Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2019

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

Actually all users of this platform know that it is quite complete, and meets almost all the needs of the user, it is very competent at the time of file transfers although it is slow, for calls I do not really give much value, and with respect to the strong, the pillar of this software that would be the remote control, to be so acclaimed I really think that meets the needs of users in the short term and very basically, although in reality it is very stable and that would be the biggest point to please.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

I do not like the application at all, it is very cumbersome and difficult to use, it slows down the equipment and the remote control image freezes every time, regardless of whether the web connection of both is in perfect condition is very complicated and is very annoying, apart I consider that it is very overrated. It is not denied that it is an excellent application but not everything in life is perfect and you have to accept its faults.

**Recommendations to others considering TeamViewer:**

First, inform yourself if the platform meets your needs, otherwise it will be a disappointment. In our case, I really do not like the application because we do not adapt to it, nor does it apply to us. but maybe for another public company or person, be of great help and perfect functionality.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The great dilemma with teamviewer solved for us is based on its main functionality regarding the remote storage that we can configure through it, it is easier to access the records with PC already linked than having to use external memories or move to the equipment, apart from being a good choice of bran.

  ### 16. TeamViewer is great, but personal usage is fraught

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean W. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2019

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

Team Viewer is an excellent solution for remote desktop connectivity,

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

If you are using the free "Personal Use" plan, there are some draconian tests in place to make sure you are not a corporate user trying to get the free license. I used it under the free personal license, but was flagged and restricted when I tried connecting to my home desktop computer from my phone while connected to my work Wi-Fi. because the Wi-Fi was identified as a company, my usage was flagged as "corporate use" and therefore a violation of the personal use conditions.
That was very frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering TeamViewer:**

If you are an individual user, be careful about where you use this software. You could accidentally be flagged as a "corporate user" and lose your free license.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've had to move away from TeamViewer as a result of inaccurately being flagged as a "Corporate User".

  ### 17. Over priced but effective for remote support

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rich G. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2019

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

Allowing a remote customer to view a screen here or allowing us to link in for support

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

It is a very pricey program and they are now changing to interface to make using it for free once in a while almost impossible

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None anymore

  ### 18. Managing Android devices is a bit of a nightmare

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2019

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

When it works it works well. Full screen control of Android devices is sort of hard to do, but when I can actually get a connection through Teamviewer it works well. All the functionality that one would expect is there. Saves me time and hassle with typing in long keys or passwords, which I can just copy/paste from my desktop through Teamviewer.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

It seems anytime I need to connect to a client's Android tablet in the field using the Teamviewer Host app for Android it doesn't work. I have to get the end user to open the Teamviewer QuickSupport app and allow my connection. It's a bit of a pain and a little less professional than me just having access to our clients tablets when there's a support issue. It works only about 20% of the time where I have an issue and I can just remote into their tablet and fix it without any of the end user's input, which is the point of the Host app, but it just simply doesn't work. Very frustrating.

I constantly tell myself that if my software worked as well as theirs does my company would be out of business fast.

I also don't like the "forced" updates to new versions that seem to add no new features we actually use, but cost us money every year. It get's expensive for software that routinely frustrates me, but there isn't a whole lot of alternatives in the Android remote support realm.

**Recommendations to others considering TeamViewer:**

It's great if you don't rely on the Android apps

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote support of our products on Android and Windows

  ### 19. Teamviewer Remote Control

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vimal G. | Senior Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2018

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

Perfect product for remote control based solutions to the problems faced by many people. The conferencing and presentation feature is awesome because it only shares one screen at a time so it does not even invade our privacy that our other work would be visible by others. Also, we can enable or disable the mouse control of the parent machine easily using a small click

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

Nothing as of now. I like the product simply

**Recommendations to others considering TeamViewer:**

this is a comment

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solve customers or client's problem using Teamviewr whenever they face any technical issue. The best part of using Teamviewer is trust for business. As people donot want their data or any information to be leaked. Teamviewer uses encryption so that no one in the middle can even read the data! So it is highly secure for things like passwords too

  ### 20. Use for remote control when working from home

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon C. | Research Assistant, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2019

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

I can access my work desktop from anywhere as long as I have my laptop.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

The software seemed to slow my computer down.

**Recommendations to others considering TeamViewer:**

Give it a try but also look into other options

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to work remotely from home

  ### 21. Great product of blatantly screws you out of time unless you continually pay outrageous fees

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy M. | IT Services / Owner, Computer Networking, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2018

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

Groups, workstation pane, general functionality

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

Teamviewer is not subtle in finding ways to take more of your money. For hundreds of remote users to accidentally click on a flashing pop up to update their teamviewer, only to have the tech lose connectivity to that user is an outrageous waste of time and efficiency. When you purchase a version of teamviewer their sales will tell you it is a lifetime license but that means nothing with your remote users constantly updating their own versions by accident.

This forces you to pay another 1,600 fee to upgrade or waste of ton of time to walk a user through uninstalling the new version and then reinstalling the old version. The user made a mistake? Get ready to spend half an hour wasting your time before you get to an emergency. When you have to do so for hundreds of users it gets insane. I would not recommend this product to anyone until this is fixed.

**Recommendations to others considering TeamViewer:**

Wait for them to fix this

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The efficiency it gives you, you only lose with problems that team viewer intentionally throw at you only to pay more when you supposedly have a "lifetime" license. In reality, Teamviewer costs 1,600 a year for a single tech using the product at one time.

  ### 22. Meh~

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2018

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

I like that it's easy to message individuals without leaving the office and to control my desk windows computer with my mac and transfer files between them without aa USB device.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

I hate the registration process, it's extremely annoying.
When something breaks it has to be reinstalled.
Features are sometimes device specific.

**Recommendations to others considering TeamViewer:**

Free trial then requires a business subscription. It's a wonderful secure service that connects departments together solving any problems with effective communication however the registration process is a little difficult and adding a new user can be very annoying.

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication is no longer an issue when departments use team viewer we're also able to communicate between departments and host video conferences!

  ### 23. Wouldnt be my first choice

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2017

**What do you like best about TeamViewer?**

I like the fact of how simple it is to set up and for others to view.

**What do you dislike about TeamViewer?**

I dont like how expensive it is, you cant have more than 10 particepents unless you pay $20 monthly or more

**What problems is TeamViewer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None
