No question is a silly question, someone is always on hand to advise you on what to do next. The system itself is accurate and has only had one small glitch since we implemented it over a year ago. Myself and the team use the system every single day and it's automation capabilities, recruitment transparency, ease of use for hiring managers and visibility of reporting on the back end is seamless! **What do you dislike about Teamtailor?** The reporting function is good but probably not as capable or detailed as I'd like it to be. Sometimes, you want specific data to manipulate or you want the system to generate you a report based on what you need and you tend to have to build these yourself. There's still some work we need to do internally to be able to fully integrate the system with other internal systems but this is WIP. The career center is visually impressive and has cool features like video integration, team updates, and branding customization, which help engage candidates. They are also not slow to try and integrate AI. I also liked the kanban board-style candidate management and the workflow automation, which looked promising in the demo. On paper, it has everything you’d want in an ATS. **What do you dislike about Teamtailor?** It really surprises me how many positive reviews TeamTailor has here on G2. I use Teamtailor on a near daily basis and let me tell you about our experience as a US based customer which began in March of 2024. 1. Broken Job Board Integrations & Other Glitches We rely heavily on Indeed and ZipRecruiter’s organic listings and have never had issues posting jobs using ADP, Workable, or JazzHR. But from day one, TeamTailor failed to integrate and post jobs to Indeed and ZipRecruiter. After joining TeamTailor, we spent four months unable to get job postings to feed to Indeed. When we tried to connect our Indeed account by logging in as instructed, TeamTailor's system threw a 500 Internal Server Error displaying this message: Sorry. It’s not you. It’s us, but we are already working on it. Please try again or contact us. 500 At first, I assumed there was no way such a fundamental integration issue could be the fault of our brand-new, beautiful ATS. So, I hounded Indeed support to speak directly with our TeamTailor customer service representative, and after testing, they confirmed the problem was 100% on TeamTailor’s side - which, apparently, TeamTailor already knew just wasnt being very responsive or explanative about. Meanwhile, TeamTailor’s support team kept repeating the same response: “We’re working on it.” Finally, after four months, they fixed the organic free posting—but we still couldn’t promote Indeed job listings due to the same 500 Internal Server Error. TeamTailor’s “solution” was to log in to Indeed separately to sponsor jobs—completely defeating the purpose of using an ATS. Well, a year has passed now, and nothing has changed. We still cant integrate to Indeed and at this point, I feel exceptionally qualified to complain about this issue. Additionally, although we did not receive an error indicating our jobs weren’t posting to ZipRecruiter, about a month ago, we realized we had received ZERO applicants from ZipRecruiter as a source. (Yes, our bad for not tracking this better for 10 months.) When I asked TeamTailor support to check if our ZipRecruiter feed was working, chat support admitted there was an "internal problem" and that our jobs weren't posting—explaining why we couldn't find them on ZipRecruiter. But not to worry, they assured me, “our team is looking into it!” However, despite TeamTailor having a "ticket system," they told me they couldn’t create a ticket for this issue because it was an internal matter. That meant I had to follow up repeatedly, re-explaining the issue each time, just to get a status update. After over a month of follow-ups, I got zero progress, zero explanation, and—of course—the typical onslaught of heart and praying hands emojis that TeamTailor’s chat support must have to get certified in during onboarding. 2. Not Designed for U.S. Customers TeamTailor is not designed for U.S. businesses. We are a small part of there business, and maybe thats why we have been treated so poorly. The career site’s location map displays zip codes before city and state—when we reported it, we were told to manually change our location text. I checked other US based customers that I could find and they have the same issue. I cannot believe they STILL have not correct the formatting for US based customers. U.S. SMS activation was delayed, and it took many many weeks to get working and when it was fixed no one told me and I found out by randomly testing. I had ask for a credit back for testing the system which would send out text that went no where. 3. No Real Access to Real Tech Support There is no way of speaking to any real tech support (not by phone or email or video) - not people who actually understand more complex issues like the ones describe above. You’re stuck using a chat service that leads nowhere or scheduling calls with a "Customer Success Manager" assigned to your account who can’t actually fix anything and....refers you back to chat - no joke! 4. Customer Support Is Condescending If you have a major problem, don’t expect real answers. Instead, expect praying hand, smiley face, and heart emojis. Take a look at the screenshot of their 500 Internal Server Error that prevented us from posting to Indeed, their error message literally said “Psst... be happy 😆.” That sums up their attitude: ignore the problem, send an emoji. 5. Other Issues As for the interface, it’s not what I expected. I do like some of the AI features, but there are plenty of functionality issues, bugs, and crashes—and surprisingly, they’re not that infrequent. Reviewing resumes is frustrating—it has to be done in a cramped window with no way to expand. There’s also no bulk download option for resumes, which makes organizing and reviewing candidates unnecessarily tedious for how some managers like to work - so not flexible. Their self-scheduling tool (Cronofy) requires full access to your entire Outlook inbox, whereas other ATS platforms only request calendar access. This is completely unnecessary and a major security issue—to the point that some of our team members refuse to use it. They also default to calling resumes "CVs" with no option to change the wording -a small but telling sign of how U.S. customers are an afterthought. Emails are also buggy—signatures randomly disappear, and when I asked about formatting, their response was:“Most companies just use plain text.” which was a disappointment as I wanted to include our logo but it was too unreliably formatted and really seems like an oversight on there part. So instead of fixing the issue, they just tell customers to lower their expectations. These may seem like small issues, but they add up quickly and highlight how little TeamTailor prioritizes customer interests. **What problems is Teamtailor solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a career center. **Official Response from Valentina Behrouzi:** > Hi Michelle, I understand someone from our team is already in touch with you, but I wanted to apologize for the frustrations you've been experiencing with the platform. It’s intuitive, candidate-friendly, and actually makes hiring feel like a two-way conversation rather than just filling a job. Plus, the careersite has been extremely helpful. The game changer is really the recent development of Co-pilot that allows you to screen through hundreds of CVs based on your screening criteria **What do you dislike about Teamtailor?** Not sure if its just me, but some times, TeamTailor gets a little glitchy. Especially when there's alot of CVs to review in a single job post. The CV parsing can also do with a lot more work as there are errors in the parsed information. It also sucks that we can only parse 100 CVs at a time. Lastly, i use lInkedin quite a lot and its not ideal that i can only redirect applications from Linkedin to TeamTailor, but without Easy Connect. If I turn on Easy Connect through Job Wrapping, then i'll need to manually extract CVs from Linkedin to TeamTailor. It streamlines multiple aspects of the hiring process, and we like how candidates can be managed and pushed into multiple jobs. There are incredibly many possibilities to shape it according to your own needs, which makes it easy to build up several different recruitment processes. There is a large selection of suppliers to integrate. It is also possible to add widgets as needed. It is colorful and I like that the homepage has an optional gif, it makes me happy when I log in :) The support is fantastic and responses are given within a minute, the chat function is great. If they don't know, they always find out the answer and get back to you. The implementation went very well, we got a great contact person who has followed us all the way with support and answers questions high and low. **What do you dislike about Teamtailor?** For us, the rating on the candidate card does not work so well because the score carries over to all the recruitments the candidate has applied for. This results in the candidate receiving an incorrect assessment of how well they fit a specific position. It would be desirable for the score to apply to individual recruitment, not an overall rating for all. The biggest shortcoming is that it is not possible to send out multiple interview times to one or more candidates simultaneously. Right now, it is only possible to send one time to a candidate. It would greatly facilitate the work if that part could be developed. **What problems is Teamtailor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Be able to work with large volumes. Clarity in which phase the candidates are in. Easy to have all communication with both candidates and recruiting colleagues in the system, so there aren't as many emails.
