It helped me to iterate and complete our projects on time and we had the best experience of learnings as a team and making any changes for the future. **What do you dislike about TeamRetro?** I really don't have anything which can be disliked with this product but I feel as a small company I would them to lower the price of the product. Apart from that, i don't have any other complaints. **What problems is TeamRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?** First of all, it has a simple design and it is easy to navigate. It helps me solve so many problems which occur in day-to-day business. It helps me to identify what went well in the iteration, What we could have done better as a team, and how to learn from the experiences and do differently to achieve better results. ### 2. It manages adding ideas, grouping the ideas, and voting on them swiftly and easily. Presentation view for topics makes for an easy way to get people's attention to important discussion topics. The post-retro report is generates does a great job of keeping the team focused on what needs to be done to improve. I like how you can set due dates on items, and be sent reminders on them. **What do you dislike about TeamRetro?** One of my biggest feature requests would be to move from a health check to a retrospective activity in one smooth transition. Right now, I have to provide two separate links to my team when I facilitate a retro. It certainly isn't the end of the world, but it's something I'd like to see added. Also, right now TeamRetro works best with retros that have a structured flow to them. While this is great for stuff like Lean Coffee and The Four Ls, it makes it difficult for more abstract retrospectives that a coach or Scrum Master might want to introduce to provide variance. I find myself using other tools like Trello when I want to do something like that. **Recommendations to others considering TeamRetro:** If you regularly run structured retrospectives and have distributed teams, I can't think of a better tool. **What problems is TeamRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?** TeamRetro solved my problem with getting a distributed team to really connect and interact with one another. This tool provides a ton of options to keep a remote team together and on the same page during the event. ### 3. We're able to throw all of our ideas under different topics, comment/expand on each others' thoughts, then vote on our favorites. The ability for multiple topics was a helpful way to put up guardrails and guide the discussion. **What do you dislike about TeamRetro?** It would be nice if every idea each person submitted was automatically grouped or sorted so that it would be easier to follow along while someone is presenting/discussing their ideas. **What problems is TeamRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?** We usually sit in a room and write our ideas down on paper and present. Being able to brainstorm remotely in a setting where everyone can see each idea being discussed saves time and resources that would otherwise be wasted. ### 4. They have a lot of different retro options depending on your team. We use the "what went well / what could have gone better / focuses" method and there's a bit of editing you have to do on the columns, but it's pretty easy. Plus you create a new retrospective each time, so each retrospective is saved if you ever want to go back to it. **What do you dislike about TeamRetro?** I wish there was a better process to automatically sort responses based on the content. It's a little hard to do at the moment, especially if there's a lot of feedback. Also, some of the edit features aren't as intuitive as I would like. **Recommendations to others considering TeamRetro:** If you have any lead time, try to have your team fill it out before so you can sort the answers. It was a little difficult to group things in the moment. **What problems is TeamRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Again, we mostly use this for our remote team members. We previously used stick-it notes and it was really hard for them to see & participate that way. This is a great alternative. ### 5. We've used post-its, Asana, and others to conduct retrospectives and brainstorms. TeamRetro is especially helpful with a remote team who can't all be in the same room. **What do you dislike about TeamRetro?** I wish the tool could run in the same window as Zoom, or include a video conferencing tool as well to help avoid needing to bounce between the two windows. **What problems is TeamRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used TeamRetro to help facilitate brainstorms and sprint retros/kickoffs. ### 6. Since we've been using this tool, it's become very easy for everybody to participate easily, and we're killing fewer post-it trees. Plus, it's really intuitive and easy to use. **What do you dislike about TeamRetro?** It would be cool if the tool automatically grouped similar answers together, but it's not a deal-breaker. This has really changed how we do best/worst as a team. **What problems is TeamRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Including remote team members in best/worst. Previously, anybody working from home or from one of our remote offices had to chat their items to somebody in the meeting space to write on post-it notes for them. They're now able to participate the same way as we are, which helps keep the team feeling connected. ### 7. People can share how they truly feel about how things went without having to be public. **What do you dislike about TeamRetro?** I don't like that when it's anonymous you don't get to choose the animal you are. I ended up being Anon Owl today and it would have been fun to be able to pick your animal **What problems is TeamRetro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our team works in sprints so every 2 weeks we do a retrospective on our previous sprint and what we hope to differently.
