"Streamlined Card Management, Needs Stronger Integration"
3/5
What do you like best about Teampay?

I love that Teampay allows all employees to safely access the corporate credit card program through virtual cards, eliminating the hassle of issuing physical cards to every single employee. Employee reimbursements used to take two months to process, but with Teampay, they are now done in a matter of days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Teampay?

The reporting is not at all robust and very clunky and difficult to use. The promised integration with other ERP software systems (Sage, NetSuite, etc.) is simply fictional and does not effectively work at all. The APIs are dismal. This is an area where significant improvement can be made. Implementation was not easy. We were promised implementation could be done in 11 days and it took at least 4 months. We are a somewhat complex organization, but it should not have been as challenging as it was. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"What I Like Best About Teampay"
5/5
What do you like best about Teampay?

Teampay’s greatest strength lies in its ability to transform complex financial oversight into a seamless, everyday experience. Its ease of implementation ensures that companies can modernize their spend management without the typical software-deployment headache, while its ease of use makes the platform instantly accessible to employees. By integrating directly into tools like Slack and Microsoft Teams, Teampay achieves a high frequency of use; it meets users within their existing daily workflows, making purchasing feel like a natural conversation rather than a bureaucratic chore.

Despite having a robust number of features—including automated policy enforcement and real-time budget tracking—the platform never feels overwhelming, as the complexity is managed through an intuitive interface. This sophistication extends to its ease of integration, where it syncs effortlessly with major accounting systems to ensure data accuracy and eliminate manual reconciliation. Finally, this technical excellence is backed by highly responsive customer support, resulting in a reliable ecosystem that empowers employees to move fast while giving finance teams total, effortless control. What do you dislike about Teampay?

While Teampay offers significant advantages, there are a few areas where the experience could be smoother. The approval process can feel overly rigid when dealing with complex or non-standard purchases, which occasionally slows down urgent requests. On the technical side, I’ve encountered intermittent receipt upload issues, and there have been instances where virtual cards were not accepted by certain vendors. Addressing these friction points would go a long way in making the platform's robust feature set feel even more seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Interface, Efficient Expense Tracking"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Teampay?

I love Teampay's UI! It's very easy to navigate and fun to use. I'm currently testing out the feature where you upload any/all receipts, and it matches to the correct transaction. I also love that when I submit a Teampay request, if I need to edit the amount (add/adjust/etc.), I can easily do it. Our company literally operates on Teampay! It makes needing to make miscellaneous purchases way more convenient and makes the process more seamless. It automatically routes my requests to my approver/manager and allows me to purchase what I need while there's confirmation and visibility across the board. It's just so easy to use and speeds up the approval process while cutting out unnecessary communications in between. The initial setup was also incredibly easy. What do you dislike about Teampay?

I can't think of any super glaring, but sometimes the app would have bugs in Slack, and it wouldn't work when I'm trying to submit a request. I'm not sure if this is already implemented, but when uploading receipts for transactions, I always have to adjust the 'Category' because Teampay gets it wrong, but I don't blame y'all - it's company-specific, so I'm sure it automatically tries to read what the transaction could be, but I always have to update it to the right category for my Company so our CFO can track our spending accurately. Again, I know this is 99% just a bug/glitch, but sometimes, when trying to submit a Teampay request, when I have to answer 4-5 questions in order to fill out the questions of the request, Teampay would either break (not receive the request), or not take in what I'm trying to type, and I usually have to wait a bit or restart Slack. Not a big deal, but I'm assuming Teampay already tries to analyze the receipts to then choose the right Category or if it's from a request, the employee should've already chosen the right Category. But if Teampay could improve the analysis and select the right Category, it'd be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Cardless Purchasing with Smooth Approvals in Microsoft Teams"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Teampay?

It makes it easy to make company purchases without having to hold a physical card. It helps that my supervisor automatically is sent my request for her approval, which eliminates me needing to ask her separately. I like that it is integrated within Microsoft Teams. It's easy to upload supporting documentation. I use it frequently for ordering supplies for our research studies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Teampay?

A downside of using Teampay is when the total purchase amount ends up being more than originally requested for the card. When the increased amount has to be approved again, this can make it hard for the vendor and for me, because I have to make sure they know that they can charge the card again. This isn't a fault of Teampay though, it's just an inconvenience sometimes. Otherwise, nothing to note. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Purchases with Quick Setup"
5/5
What do you like best about Teampay?

I like the ease of learning how to use Teampay, it's very straightforward. Also, I find the initial setup to be very easy. It's useful because I can place orders from services like Uber or online portals without needing to use my personal card. The app itself is very useful and I didn't feel the need for any further suggestions. Overall, I rate it a 10 for recommending to friends or colleagues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Receipt Management, Effortless Setup"
5/5
What do you like best about Teampay?

I love the Teampay app and its ability to scan receipts and classify them correctly. It just makes everything easier, especially when I'm on the road or at a conference. I just scan the receipt, and it takes care of pulling the data directly into the actual work log. This feature is a real time-saver for me. The setup was extremely easy, just download the app, sign in with the company information, and you're ready to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Teampay?

I would say some of the scanning reads. It doesn't read all of the context at times, and sometimes it is the wrong info. So maybe a little more accurate in terms of converting the data from the receipt on the actual WorkLog file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Expense Management, but Rigid Workflows and Approval Delays"
3/5
What do you like best about Teampay?

I appreciate how Teampay streamlines expense management by pairing proactive approvals with real-time visibility. It makes it easier for teams to spend responsibly while still maintaining control and transparency. Overall, it saves time and helps reduce friction across the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Teampay?

While Teampay is very effective overall, some workflows can feel a bit rigid, especially when handling exceptions or last-minute expenses. There can also be a slight learning curve for new users, and occasional delays in approvals can slow things down in time-sensitive situations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Vendor Payments via Slack Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Teampay?

I like the Slack integration with Teampay because it makes it easier for me to raise requests and get approvals directly without visiting any other platform. It's fast and effective which really helps streamline my process. Additionally, setting up Teampay was easy for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Teampay?

I find it inconvenient that on the portal, you can see with whom the approval is still pending, but it would be better if this feature was available directly in Slack. When I raise a request and it goes to multiple people for approval, I would like to get real-time updates on Slack about whose approval is still pending. This way, I wouldn't have to go to the portal to check the status. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Convenience with Bumpy Integration"
3/5
What do you like best about Teampay?

I like the relative simplicity of submitting receipts with Teampay. I find it convenient to use the app to take pictures of receipts. Having a physical card that is refillable is helpful too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Teampay?

We had a very bumpy start with Teampay. The integration with Amazon was not working well, and it would cause a lot of delays. Quite often, things were not delivered on time due to delays and lags in the approval processes, even though the delivery window was well within the needed time frame at the time of purchasing. Our CFO has worked with both Teampay and Amazon to fix these issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"its easy to use easy and convenient"
5/5
What do you like best about Teampay?

It's great to have everything conveniently within reach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Teampay?

Teampay is feature-rich, but some small businesses or teams may find it too complex or overwhelming compared to simpler expense tools.

The implementation effort may outweigh the benefits if the company doesn’t have a lot of spend to manage.

Employees often need training to adapt to the platform.

If staff aren’t tech-savvy, the process of submitting and approving spend requests can initially feel slower than using a company card directly. While Teampay integrates with accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.), some users report syncing issues or delays.

Not all software stacks integrate seamlessly, which may require manual reconciliation. The platform enforces strict approval workflows. This is great for control, but in practice it can cause delays in urgent purchases if managers aren’t quick to approve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
