## Teamcenter Reviews
  ### 1. We use TC AWC as our global PLM application for about 4000 users.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Industrial Automation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

As a Teamcenter development manager of about 4,000 global users, we benefit from having all the data in one place, including previous revisions. Security can be setup where some can edit, some can see/downloads, and others can be restricted from seeing specific things. Direct integration with NX is a bonus.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

The RAC client can be clunky and overwhelming for users, but AWC isn't fully featured yet. I wish AWC tiles had a smaller tile size option. Learning Advantage videos can be very monotone. I wish AWC had all attributes available for columns like RAC does without having to configure every column and release.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have seen a benefit with Change Orders, allowing parallel, versus serial, manufacturing approvals, hence speeding up the overall change process. As a global company, we are solving the "all regions can collaborate together"

  ### 2. Robust and Versatile, but Installation and Upgrades Are Challenging

  ### 9. Strong Neutral PLM Backbone with Excellent BOM and Configuration Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey Scott L. | Knowledge Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

Better as a neutral PLM backbone and when utilizing mixed CAD environments. I'm addition, it's got a strong BOM and configuration management story. If your goal is PLM first vs CAD first strategy, I'd suggest Teamcenter.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

Teamcenter can improve by making enterprise dashboards and KPI reporting more intuitive, especially for non-engineering leadership.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teamcenter helps connect engineering BOM, manufacturing BOM, process planning, and production readiness so design intent does not get lost before the product is built.

  ### 10. Efficient MBOM Management but Watch for Performance on Large Data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I like the ability of Teamcenter to manage and configure large BOM structures with effectivity. It allows us to manage changes per unit number with great detail while incorporating change. I also love the live reconciliation feature in Easy Plan.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

I'm worried about the impact large data will have on the live reconciliation feature in Easy Plan. If larger BOM segments are included, they can slow performance and the reconciliation check can take too long for an average user.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Teamcenter to manage and configuration control my MBOMs and process planning. It allows detailed management of changes per unit with large BOM structures. I appreciate the ability to integrate and configure effectively.

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

With Active Workspace Client easy to use. Good configuration features

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

Teamcenter is a very complex system to install and maintain. Very many external tools and applications are required to work properly, like SOLR.
Where configuration is not sufficient, Customization often leads to more issues in the long run

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Teamcenter as our production tool for document and project management

  ### 12. Robust Part Management, Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tarun K. | IT Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I use Teamcenter frequently to manage project files and documents and what I like most is how easy it is to keep everything organized in one place. The integration with Microsoft Office is very helpful. I can open, edit and save Word, Excel and PowerPoint files directly from Teamcenter and all updates are automatically synchronized. This saves me time and prevents errors from working with outdated files.

Getting started with Teamcenter was smooth. The implementation was straightforward and I could quickly adapt it to my workflow. It also integrates well with other tools I use, making project management seamless. Whenever I needed help, customer support was responsive and guided me quickly which made using the system stress free.

There is really very little I dislike. It took a short time to get used to all the features but once I understood the workflows and integrations it became intuitive and reliable.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Teamcenter, managing project files and updates was fragmented and I often had to double check versions manually. Now, everything is centralized and updated in real time, so I can work confidently knowing I always have the latest information. This has made my work faster, more accurate and much easier to manage.

Teamcenter has transformed the way I handle my projects. The Microsoft Office integration, ease of use, smooth implementation and helpful customer support make my work more efficient and less stressful. I rely on it frequently and it has genuinely improved how I manage project data and updates.

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I find Teamcenter interactive and easy to use. I really like its ability to configure to my needs, as our business processes are very customized and require different workflows. With Teamcenter, I can modify the workflow to add automations and incorporate reviewers based on the data entered by users.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

There's a big learning curve for custom coding, and I'd like better resources to tackle problems that others may have faced. Setting up Teamcenter initially wasn't easy, especially working with BMIDE and stylesheets without enough knowledge.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teamcenter captures the entire product lifecycle in one tool, and its configurability allows me to customize workflows, adding automations and reviewers based on data entered.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

There are many layers to get to a drawing/document. I have to click through about 5 clicks on an average to find the drawing. This can be improved, and user settings can be remembered so that it is user friendly.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am providing Technical Support to worldwide customers and I rely on Teamcenter for all my document/drawing needs. It is helping me a lot to provide support to SE customers.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

It's not always intuitive where to find top-level assemblies as an end user. A tool that allows configuration managers to preload products to a new user would be helpful.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teamcenter handles config management and serves as a centralized source of truth for design data. I can quickly query by attributes, making it easier and faster to find what I need compared to traditional file structures.

  ### 30. Strong Single Source of Truth and Improving UI, but room for Improvement and Licensing Complexity

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verena H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

Everything in one place. Single source of truth, digital thread. Much better UI as years ago and still progressing
