**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I really appreciate using Teamcenter because it centralizes everything related to product development in one place. In large engineering environments, information can easily become scattered across different systems, emails, and local folders. Teamcenter solves this problem by acting as a single platform where all product data is organized, managed, and controlled.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

While Siemens Teamcenter is a powerful PLM system, there are several aspects that make it frustrating to use. First, the software often feels slow and clunky, especially when navigating large product datasets. Searching for files or opening complex assemblies can take a long time, which disrupts workflow and reduces efficiency.

  ### 20. A trusted Tool for Cross-Functional Coordination.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aashutosh T. | CSE - II, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

What I like is that Teamcenter brings order to what would otherwise be a very messy process. Version control and change management work well in practice, especially when multiple teams are involved. Having a single place for product data reduces back-and-forth and confusion. It’s also flexible enough to adapt to how we work, rather than forcing major process changes.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

The biggest area for improvement would be the user interface, which can feel dated and not very intuitive for new users. There’s a noticeable learning curve, especially for non-technical team members, and onboarding can take time. Performance can also be inconsistent at times, particularly when working with large datasets or running complex searches.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us manage and collaborate complex engineering documentation across multiple teams and projects. Before adopting it, we struggled with the version control, scattered files, and miscommunication between design, and manufacturing teams.

Now, with everything centralized, we can track revisions, enforce approval workflows, and maintain a single source of truth for all critical documents.

This has reduced errors and time consumption, and enhanced traceability.

**Official Response from Jen Groisman:**

> Hi Aashutosh,

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for recognizing Teamcenter as a reliable tool for cross-functional coordination, version control, and change management.

We’re very glad to hear how Teamcenter has helped your teams reduce confusion, streamline collaboration, and maintain a single source of truth.

We also appreciate your honest feedback about the learning curve and user interface. While Teamcenter offers robust flexibility to fit unique internal workflows, we understand the importance of making the experience more intuitive for all users.

That’s why we’re continuously working to modernize the UI, improve performance, and simplify deployment — especially with cloud-based options like Teamcenter X, which can reduce onboarding time and minimize reliance on third-party services.

If you're not already using Teamcenter X, we’d be happy to connect you with resources or support to help streamline your experience.

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I use Teamcenter to view drawings and parts lists, which is quite useful. It definitely allows for easier sending of technical data packages to supplier partners. I really like the interface compared to the legacy tools we had and specifically, I like the tiles. The customizable tiles are helpful because I can put the meaningful ones on my home page and pin parts.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

I really don't like how complicated some of the workflows are out of the box. It doesn't make sense that I need to drive through numerous screens to view the data package I am sending out.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Teamcenter to view drawings, parts lists, and send technical data packages, which makes sending packages to suppliers easier.

  ### 35. Robust Data Security, Impressive for Engineering Needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I like how Teamcenter allows us to secure our data and enforce known and common business processes for our company. As a support person, I am familiar with the Rich Client, and although we are just starting with Active Workspace, I see that its interface seems to be improving. I know Teamcenter is the most used engineering database software available, and I'd definitely recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

Active Workspace interface does seem to be improving. When first introduced, it wasn't very 'user friendly'. Same for Deployment Center. But that also seems to be improving. We will be using that soon, but haven't yet.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Teamcenter to secure our engineering intellectual property, enforce business processes, and store other valuable business data.

  ### 42. We use TC AWC as our global PLM application for about 4000 users.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Industrial Automation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

As a Teamcenter development manager of about 4,000 global users, we benefit from having all the data in one place, including previous revisions. Security can be setup where some can edit, some can see/downloads, and others can be restricted from seeing specific things. Direct integration with NX is a bonus.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

The RAC client can be clunky and overwhelming for users, but AWC isn't fully featured yet. I wish AWC tiles had a smaller tile size option. Learning Advantage videos can be very monotone. I wish AWC had all attributes available for columns like RAC does without having to configure every column and release.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have seen a benefit with Change Orders, allowing parallel, versus serial, manufacturing approvals, hence speeding up the overall change process. As a global company, we are solving the "all regions can collaborate together"
