## Teamcenter Reviews
  ### 1. Powerful PLM and ecosystem, but clunky UI and difficult integrations (even with Siemens)

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jonathan B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

Teamcenter is a powerful PLM tool - it has good controls and has a large amount of supporting ecosystem applications

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

I dislike the GUI tablet style entry point, also I dislike the visualisation of structures and relationships

As a senior Manager, I hear about difficulty in deployment, and integrations (even with Siemens products) - getting the ecosystem up and running seems difficult

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A 'failed' upgrade from TCE to TCU has left us with an impotent PLM (with PLM features not enabled). We need TCU to be a digital backbone for an extended digital thread - including in to other Siemens products such as polarion, expedition, opcenter etc... We need a successful 'base' capability to establish control of BoMS, and other objects/work items to provide a critical mass of product dat control.

I find the 'best practice' use of TCU not well articulated, and complaints about use ability and interface is difficult. This makes TCU a hard sell to staff for engagement

  ### 2. Useful Search Options, But Workflow Stability Lacks

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I find the options to search and view parts in Teamcenter very useful for creating spare parts documentation. There are many search options available, tailored to different types of objects or items, which enhances the functionality for my specific needs.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

I find Teamcenter creates more problems than it solves with unexpected errors occurring mid-process. Dispatcher tasks often get stuck and can't be restarted by the user, which is frustrating since only an Admin can fix it. The transfer to ERP fails sometimes, which disrupts workflow. Workflow stability needs improvement; it's annoying when performing the same steps doesn't always yield the same results, causing random errors. The initial setup was also challenging, which was a bit of a hurdle.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teamcenter's search and view options are very useful for creating spare parts documentation. However, it creates unexpected errors, with dispatcher tasks getting stuck, ERP transfers failing, and workflow stability issues. I wish it consistently gave the same results without random errors.

  ### 3. Solid Features with Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I use Teamcenter for document control, BOM management, and integrations. One of the things I like most is its data consistency, which allows us to put the data out consistently to be used by our business.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

The workflows in Teamcenter haven't had any enhancements in a long time, and it could be easier to use multiple finish tasks so lines aren't drawn all over each other. There's also a need for better ways to pull in information based on property/relations paths. The initial setup wasn't easy; it took years and had a very rough go live, with years of work required to get the systems stable and smooth.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teamcenter helps with document control, BOM management, and integration. It provides revision control, added validations, and ensures data consistency for our business.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

Teamcenter provides a single shop for PLM processes, including Workflows, Change Management, Bill of Material Management, storage management, etc..

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

On the administrative side, Teamcenter is challenging to maintain and build over time. Admins and developers have to work with some more dated technologies and practices, limiting their exposure to cloud-based technologies.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teamcenter operates as our primary application for PLM storage and change management. It has been in place for 20 years in our organization, so we have seen the transition from "customize to what you need" to instead using the out of the box industry standard templates. It has been an evolutionary process, and especially with Active Workspace, it seems Siemens wants to take Teamcenter out of the old age it was built in, and start using new tools like AI, Machine Learning, and integrations with more industry standard tools like PowerBI.

  ### 24. We just integrated to using Teamcenter and it was not very smooth

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

  ### 45. Worked with Teamcenter over 7 years, performance is a main issue

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimberly B. | System Analyst II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I like AWS, not sure how Admin features in RAC will carry over to AWS. I support SWIM and like the ability to keep models under control. We also have Agile PLM onsite that we support too. The workflows in Teamcenter work better than Agile, but the workflows in Agile were designed to be a more manual flow. The BOM in Agile is interesting when looking at revisions and ECO. It is easier to see in the BOM the change compared to Teamcenter 11.2

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

The performance, in AWS the Workflow and JT model rendering is very slow. Not sure if is because we are on versions 11.2 & 3.4. Also, our data was migrated from Enterprise back in 2017, but is still being cleaned up on an as-needed bases. So in many cases, I do not know if is Teamcenter or our data that is causing performance issues. A method to migrate the Design BOM coming in from ECAD or MCAD to the Part Item. Currently, we are manually re-entering the BOM data into the Part BOM based off of the ECAD or MCAD BOM list.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company is currently preparing to be certified for CMMC and handling of CUI data. We are looking at Teamcenter and how we might need to add a CUI attribute to help us in controlling the data.

**Official Response from Jen Groisman:**

> Dear Kimberly,

We appreciate your positive remarks about the AWS integration and model control in Teamcenter.

Considering your use of versions 11.2 & 3.4, upgrading to the latest version, Teamcenter 14, should address your performance concerns and will allow you to benefit from the additional features and improvements.

It's important to highlight that the EBOM-Design alignment capability, which could potentially resolve the manual re-entry issue for Design BOM data into the Part BOM, is a feature available in newer versions of Teamcenter.

Upgrading to Teamcenter 14 would likely provide access to this functionality, significantly streamlining your workflows and reducing manual efforts.

  ### 47. Teamcenter for complaince product management

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

The new complaince software added recently enabled us to build the sustanaible supplier responsibility for emerging software and hitech industry needs in the electronics industrty

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

It's still bulky, emerging and integration between different modules requires lot of subject matter expertise from consultants working to deliver the projects requiring training, time

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New product introduction

  ### 48. Teamcenter as a PLM

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Aviation & Aerospace | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

Teamcenter works well to give me access to documents and information across multisite, multi-national locations. It allows me to collaborate securely with colleagues at all facilities.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

It takes a bit of time to learn all of the tricks and use it efficiently. It's also not the best if you are using it as a PLM for electronics manufacturing.

**Recommendations to others considering Teamcenter:**

Teamcenter is great for controlling drawings and documents. It's a little more difficult to use when managing a BOM.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multi-site document access. I am able to retrieve documents from our other sites.

  ### 49. Teamcenter is capable

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Cosmetics | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I like that Teamcenter has the ability to store different segments of information in the same system. I used it for Artwork routing, standard storage and tracking, and technical drawing storage.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

I hated that it was so finicky to get up and running. Teamcenter was completely dependent on my computer defaulting to the only version of Adobe reader that Teamcenter wanted to use. The problem is that my computer would automatically default to a different version of Teamcenter. So, my tech person would come (days later), uninstall Adobe, reinstall Adobe correct version, block updates and then I could do my work. Then, a few weeks later, my computer would auto update which would send me back to square one.

**Recommendations to others considering Teamcenter:**

Include users of the program when you build team center processes. Make sure that all users have the correct drivers and supporting software to use teamcenter

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Artwork routing. Drawing routing, aproval and storage, standard label creation, approval and storage

  ### 50. Good PLM with a usage in Wide range of Industries

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saravanan A. | Senior Engineer - Powertrain Controls, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

Siemens Teamcenter or VisMockup is a great tool for reviewing 3D CAD models. It is so user freindly and you can learn Teamcenter Base as easy as possible. Navigation and analyzing the model will be easydue to its different set of tools used in it.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

Large CPU and Ram is needed to open Complex and Huge Models. if you click to open button for a large model and it starts to freeze. measurement is tough due to options and selection of point or curve is tougher which leads to teamcenter Freeze and sometimes it collapses and we need to reopen the entire model

**Recommendations to others considering Teamcenter:**

Easier to use and a good Product Lifecycle management software to use

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Product lifecycle management
