## Teamcenter Reviews
  ### 1. Powerful Integrated Platform Hampered by Very Poor Siemens and Gold Partner Support

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liam S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

As an integrated platform it has the potential to really increase business efficiency and value through the development and manufacturing phases.

If properly deployed,, and that is a big IF

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

Unfortunately what lets the tool down is the expertise available to deploy the tool and support it from the OEM ( Siemens ) and from the supposed Gold Partners. -- I am yet to encounter any technical proficiency in the European domain without significant input from the customer!

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Over time the platform will assist in reducing the amount of technical debt that as an organisation we have.

It will also assist in the simplification of the engineering and manufacturing stages so that we can reduce time to market overall, improve procurements and remove regulatory challenges

  ### 2. Powerful for Regulated CAD Teams, but Too Hard to Use and Expensive

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** André G. | Hardware Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

It is great for large, distributed engineering teams. Allows for integration with CAD tools like catia. It meets strict industry regulations.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

It is extremely hard to use and is very expensive.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Handles extremely complex products and allows for teams across locations collaborate in real time

  ### 3. Ambitious One-Stop PLM, But Too Error-Prone and Slow to Innovate

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Defense & Space | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I appreciate Teamcenter/Siemen's drive to make a one stop shop for PLM/Design

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

Very error prone & new functionality feels a bit late compared to my previous use of other PLM systems.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BOM & Change Management -- providing a system that has the ability to manage these things well.

  ### 4. Highly Customizable, but Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Defense & Space | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

There seem to be a lot of errors to work through

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BOM and change management

  ### 5. We use it because it is necessary to track changes between design revisions but I think it is ugly

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isaac G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

it is like GitHub but for designers and can track changes

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

UI is ugly
API is too complicated to use

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create different revisions for models

**Official Response from Jen Groisman:**

  ### 9. Great functionality offering, very poor execution & implementation

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William P. | Sr. Electrical Engineer, Oil & Energy, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I like most of the release ("workflow") functionality, the ability to release similar items. While the hierarchical nature of items/records is very clunky, there's some value in that as well.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

Instability - items, perspectives and views getting corrupt, cache getting corrupt, Java crashing, est. Also, Java being a few versions behind what works with other Java-using tools is very inconvenient. The excessive complexity and lack of intuitiveness of use is a problem as well. All of these issues cause work productivity problems, which cause many man-hours of hidden cost and overall value reduction.

**Recommendations to others considering Teamcenter:**

Thoroughly review other alternatives, and if possible, do "test drives". Talk to both grass-roots users and administrators of all potential candidates before making a decision. It would be good to get both engineering and manufacturing personnel - the folks that do the work every day - to review candidate tools, which will help get truly valuable opinions as well as build concensus on whatever tool is decided upon.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

General engineering document control, life cycle management, etc.

  ### 10. Meh.... cumbersome

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vittorio C. | Design Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2015

**What do you like best about Teamcenter?**

I'm sure this is a very robust system, but darn it if I cant check things out if I'm not a super user.

**What do you dislike about Teamcenter?**

I dont like how fragile things seems, I feel like 1 wrong clip and im going to screw up my factories production.

**Recommendations to others considering Teamcenter:**

Get proper training in place.

**What problems is Teamcenter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to get all of our folks on the same page for CAD/part information.
