Team Shakti is India's pioneering all-female Capture The Flag team, dedicated to transforming the cybersecurity landscape by addressing the significant gender disparity in the field. Established in 2018 by a group of passionate young women under the mentorship of Shri Vipin Pavithran, the team operates on a peer mentoring model, where experienced members guide newcomers, fostering a supportive and empowering environment. Since its inception, Team Shakti has actively participated in numerous CTF competitions, delivered talks, and conducted workshops, aiming to inspire and equip more women to pursue careers in cybersecurity. Key Features and Functionality: - Peer Mentoring: Senior members mentor juniors, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development. - Active Participation: Engages in national and international CTF competitions, enhancing practical cybersecurity skills. - Community Engagement: Conducts workshops and delivers talks to raise awareness and encourage women's involvement in cybersecurity. - Recognition: Acknowledged as India's only all-female CTF team, with members receiving scholarships to attend prestigious conferences like Black Hat Asia and HackLu. Primary Value and Problem Solved: Team Shakti addresses the underrepresentation of women in cybersecurity by creating an inclusive platform that empowers women through education, mentorship, and hands-on experience.
