It takes a while for enhancements to come from development. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping track of overtime and comp time. Also very helpful account management when working directly with them (over the phone for example). **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** The response time and likelihood of response from an account manager is not very good. I attribute this to understaffing or poor management in that area. Also, the tools to get support through online means are somewhat lacking. But, like I said, once you get someone on the phone in either area, then things start going quite smoothly and they are *very* helpful. Which really tells me that any issues I've had with response times or lack of response is a result of under-staffing. So, that would fall on the execs not investing enough in quantity of staff **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Getting Time and Attendance recorded, including for roaming and remote workers. We soon will try using benefit accruals too. TCP saves us time. ### 3. Has some nice feature for web clock and scheduling. All peramiters are auto sorted and with the limits set is clear how many people can be approved for a given day and who should be denied. Another great feature is the easy viewing of schedules. Wondering if a particular staff is working, within seconds you can see when that individual works and what hours. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** The speed that th system processes can take some time especially on high volume days. Also, the autofill and publishing features need improvement. If these two features worked the way that they were intended I would give teh system a 10 out of 10. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Some of the functions that I did in our previous scheduling software that used to take 2-3 days now only take a few hours which frees me up to attend to my other responsibilities and to assist my staff and peers. ### 6. I had to hire another software programer to give them the codes to get the clock with out Accounting software which i was assured it would with with their system. I started working with TCP in April and I still do not have one report I requested. They said they Clock would work with Sage Accounting and not require any new programing but infact it cost another $6000.00 and a programer with Sage to get it to work. TCP is trying to raise the price for implementation they what they quoted me. It was terrific to have spoken conversations / Zoom calls during this setup process so we could immediately ask each other follow-up questions instead of emailing back and forth. Requests for completing school district-required paperwork and generating invoices were efficiently handled. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** I wish the GPS tracking would be tighter & more accurate for checking the students' locations when clocking in. We would open up the geofence to almost a whole block yet sometimes the TCP system would not recognize our students' devices as being inside the geofence - even though I was sitting in the clinic parking lot next to them. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our high school students use TCP to document their time spent doing observation hours at various sites in our community. It's a great timekeeping software program that reduces manual entry. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before we had the Contract Module we had to review and do manual entry on our Hourly Annualized employees. Now we just do the initial setup for each employee on this pay option in both TCP and School ERP Pro and then the system takes care of those adjustments eliminating the need to manually enter over 100 adjustments each payroll. ### 10. I have realized the benefit in saving my own time by importing timesheets into our financial software. ### 27. And having assistance by phone is great as I have not had great response by chat. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** The clocks will "go down" occationally which causes employees to panic and blow up my phone/email. The system will come back online and the punches will record any operations performed while in fall back mode. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to TCP, we were still using punch cards. This was a tedious task of calucating hours, research benefit time taken, while at the same time following the union contract. TCP holds all the union rules and calculates everything out for us. ### 28. We have employees that don't come stright to the office but their day does begin outside of the office, so for them to be able to clock in great. With that being said it is nice to be able to see where our employees are clocking in and out by the location indicator. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** We use Viventium as our Payroll software and it is a little cumbersome to add a new employee and get everything liked properly. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** We can now see where and when our employees are clocking in and out. TCP built a timekeeping structure specific to our company that is user-friendly, simple, yet efficient. On top of that, the customer service is incredible. I love that there is a chat feature because I don't always like to spend time talking to someone on the phone. But when I do have a more challenging question/issue, the team I do chat with via phone are always impeccably knowledgeable about the system, are quick to resolve or answer questions, and are just so easy and lovely to work with! **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** There's nothing I dislike! The team and the platform are awesome and I couldn't be happier to work with them. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a unique work schedule for our employees, and the biggest issue we had when deciding on a timekeeping platform was how to get our platform to match our scheduling. TCP listened to our needs and constructed a unique timekeeping schedule specifically for us. Everything has been automated for us so we don't have to go in and manually enter all the unique schedule requirements. It's been a HUGE help. I can only imagine what it would have been like if we hadn't found TCP and had to do everything manually. ### 31. TCP TimeClock Plus Review **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Jessica A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023 **What do you like best about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** Many employees do not have a work email, and a fair amount don't even have a personal email. That said, it is not ideal to communicate with staff via their personal email. I love how I can create messages that go out to individual employees as they report to or leave work. This is a feature I have not seen in other payroll and time tracking platforms. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** I wish employees had the ability to view their dashboards from home on their smartphones. Currently, this is not possible. The number of employees that can be displayed using the widgets is limited and there is not a way around that. I would also like to see more robust reporting options. There are a few quirky software items that I feel should be fixed, but the turn around is not promising. For example, There's not a way to view upcoming birthdays for a particular month on the dashboard, nor a way to populate a report automatically that shows a full month of employee birthdays. You are forced to select an arbitrary number of days, like 31, which means the report will either miss a few or include a few from an irrelevant month. Additionally, although we only have around 100 employees not all birthdays display even when they are within the specified parameters as a message displays that the system is only configured to show the first "x" number of relevant employees due to built in limitations. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having an easy way to communicate with staff and provide them with the resources they need on a dashboard platform while at work. ### 32. To this date, I still need to use the old version just for attendance tracking even though we are using the new system to clock in. So instead of things getting simpler, it's double work. Also, when the time clock is closed for maintenance, I have 20+ timecards to correct. It seems the maintenance is done quite often which is very inconvenient. I was told that the maintenance is done for all users at once, I'm pretty sure there is a time of the day/night that all of us are not actively using the time clock. I was told that I'd have to go to this setting, that setting, and choose this and that... I am not doing it. We pay for this, I feel they should be doing it. It just seems as though this new version is more complicated and not user-friendly. There's like too many places to search for information. Too many features that we don't really need to use. We don't use the scheduler because we are content with another system and this one didn't have a feature that we need. Lastly, we were initially told that our "When I Work" scheduling system we currently use, could be downloaded and used with this new time clock system, Well...after being on a conference call training, come to find out, we needed to purchase another system that TCP sells to use the scheduler and the work chat like the "When I Work" system. We were told we'd have to purchase this system as well. Needless to say, we are not going to do that because in order to see if it is actually something TCP could try and integrate, we'd have to input our entire schedule, names, shifts, etc. to see if it can be done... We are not going to do that either. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** this newer version is compatible with our cloud. We had no choice but to upgrade in which we were told it would be the same. ### 33. It used to link directly to the section when clicking the question mark on that page but now it goes to a generic help center page. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** TCP allows for more transparency and captures data for easy reporting on issues regarding schedules, time worked, and time off. Employees are extended more information vs antiquated paper systems. ### 34. The different views available are also really helpful. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** > I wish there was a way to filter out administrators from the schedule view, as they are not being scheduled and clutter up the screen when I assign shifts to everyone. Currently, the only way to filter is to select employees you want to see, but then you cannot view open shifts, which defeats the purpose. > When adjusting the time for each shift, it now maintains the same length and you have to click "accept" for any time changes otherwise they don't save. This is not very user friendly and I'd like to see the following changes: a) allow start time adjustments without auto adjusting the end time unless specified to do so, b) remove the extra step of selecting "accept" for all time changes prior to changing anything else about the shift, like shift tags, title, etc. > Give schedulers more manager access to approve things like requesting split shifts, etc. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** TCP TimeClock Plus is responsive to feedback, which I appreciate. ### 35. The column for listing employees needs to be wider so that the entire name is visible. I was told this was to be corrected, and then informed probably not. The program does not always list all of the employees, possibly because of our size. It used to list everyone, but changed after the update. Also, too many characters are required for the login, especially when it is necessary to login so many times a day. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping track of the hours and times employees work. ### 38. There is nothing hard about it. I love the dashboard; opening TCP and seeing who is out, in, missed a punch, or even who is about to hit overtime makes my job so much easier. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** The one thing I would say that always gets me is setting up users with access to other employees. The list is so long on what they can have access to. This just takes too long to read through and check off. They need to come up with a better way to give access to employees **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** TCP helps our district keep the time of our employees who do dual jobs. Our employees can change job codes, making it easy for our payroll department when it comes time to pay them. ### 40. Easy to use for employees and managers. The best thing about TCP is the accrual forecasting. A lot of options and customization. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** Scheduling doesn't work well for us, especially the swaps/drops section. This is only because of the way our managers want to allow swaps, etc. We also have rotating shifts that change every 8 weeks and it is hard to set up an easy automatic schedule for them. I also don't like how it works when an employee is terminated and that spot needs to be filled. I end up unpublishing and publishing a lot to get things moved around. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Great for tracking PTO requests and days off. We also use the time tracking and that works well. I am more productive because we moved from paper PTO tracking to TCP. ### 43. Easy interface for both administrators and regular users. It works well with our ERP. The PTO request system works well. It handles recurring holidays properly. All around, it's a nice time clock solution. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** The only complaint is that I had to write a custom application to modify the period export format to match the requirements of our ERP as it was not 100% out of the box. This was not a deal breaker for us. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our previous time clock solutions were lacking in features. TimeClock Plus offers PTO requests approval/rejection, manages holiday hours, and allows employees to view their available vacation time or personal days quickly. ### 50.
