After many months we were able to get it to work. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** I do not like how the company does business. Yesterday, I was told that I had signed a "purchase agreement" for additional licenses when I had not even opened the email. We were also told that the time clock system can be used with RFID cards to give people access to specific locations but we then found out that this was not the case. The company seems a bit too eager to sell the product and overpromises what their system can do. We are canceling this service in August. They also charged our company credit card without our authorization last year when we were in the process of deciding on what to do and had asked to be charged monthly. Instead, they charged us for the whole year. I can only recommend that people go with a different vendor than with TCP. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** While the system has helped us with our payroll processing, it has not solved all our problems. As for the RFID cards, you absolutely should be able to restrict or manage access to certain locations or facilities using these badges, provided you have a badge-reading time clock stationed at the access point. I would recommend reaching out to Support (325.223.9300) and have them re-evaluate your situation. This is a functionality we are very proud of for our solution and I would love to hear that it is working as intended for your organization. Hopefully you can reconsider remaining with us and our staff will make sure all parties are in agreement with the billing process. ### 2. I like that the scheduling aspect gives us a chance to reduce payroll by figuring out what extra costs can be cut. Being able to control when employees clock in, i.e. only allowed 5 minutes earlier than scheduled, is very helpful. I like that the changes I make on my computer are seen instantly on the managers computers. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** I get logged out every 5 minutes. Its really annoying as part of my job includes mostly doing this in Timeclock throughout the day. I also do not like that when I go to export hours, I do not get a choice of where I would like the download to go on to my computer. For our payroll system I have to have it in a certain folder and ever since the new TCP I have had to download it and move into a different folder which just adds extra steps and time. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are decreasing payroll costs by monitoring how early/ late employees clock in. I like being able to see my employees schedule as it makes it easier to know when they are working next if they aren't clocked in at the moment. ### 3. We use PROX cards for security and ID cards and we can use the same card to punch the clock. We have three locations and manage everything for one login and our employees can clock their hours regardless of which location they are at. The clocks work flawlessly in fallback mode if the cloud is down for maintenance of if we have a local internet outage. Everything works and their support, which is rarely needed, is the best of any of our vendors. **Recommendations to others considering TimeClock Plus by TCP:** Stop wasting your time searching for something better and just go with TCP. The primary use is a simple timeclock. The benefit is that we have multiple departments, each with their own managers that manage their specific people. Easy of access has help because employees do not have to go to one certain area to clock in. If they need to be in the gym cleaning as soon as they get to work they can go there and clock in. Each employee profile can be configured completely differently from another if necessary. I also like the import/export feature, as having the ability to quickly move data between TCP and Quickbooks is a great time saver compared to manually exchanging the information. The mobile application saves the company money and employees time on having to clock in all in one location. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** One of the few downsides I have found is the number of bugs present in the system, especially on the mobile application. I have had to reset mobile applications on employees' phones numerous times to fix issues that arise. Another downside is the lack of customization for the geofence. I would like to see the ability to create a custom shape for the geofence instead of just a circle. **Recommendations to others considering TimeClock Plus by TCP:** TCP is one of the most affordable options out there for both managing employee timesheets and schedules. The customization of the product will meet all of your needs for your specific company while being user-friendly. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Buddy punching used to be a real issue before TCP when our company was still using physical punch cards. Payroll also took a whole day to process, and mistakes on punch cards were a real hassle to follow up on. With TCP, both of these issues are resolved along with adding accountability on the employee for correcting their timesheets before payroll. ### 9. There are many limitations. Not being able to sync or link with other software. I understand it might be less expensive but you want to make sure it meets your needs. They are a bit expensive and which we had to outsource a few of the readers through a third party vendor. However, TCP excels at it this task and far exceeds all other products we tried. Like a Swiss watch, it may be complex. But this is necessary in order to be able to do what is impossible with the other solutions we've tried. There are automated functions such as loading files from our network site that do not work. **Recommendations to others considering TimeClock Plus by TCP:** We have multiple business units with individual FEINs and had to purchase multiple databases instead of having everything in one. However, TCP offers our organization to limit who can access what from where. The question option that TCP added during COVID is excellent and very easy to use. It is a great way to document how employees felt and if they are safe to be at work. The help desk is great. **What do you dislike about TimeClock Plus by TCP?** TCP is a little difficult to navigate on the administrator side. Some of the options are difficult to figure out, and occasionally it is unclear how certain entries relate to certain functions. I admit that most functions dealing with overtime, breaks, and scheduling I don't even use. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** The freedom of access from anywhere is the best. We have to ability to allow certain employees to clock in remotely, while others must be in the building. I have moved them to the new mobile app, which has helped tremendously, but there are still regular issues. **What problems is TimeClock Plus by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?** 80% of our employees work out in the field so TCP allows our staff to get to work at a jobsite faster than paper/email clocking in. Now that we have added the module to ask questions, it saves me a lot of time collecting daily Covid reports from employees. Should be more customizable. -Implementation team did not properly handle our data when we moved from version 6 to version 7 and we lost data. The whole project was poorly managed. -Support does not take into consideration our high volume clock in clock out times when doing upgrades.
