Talkwalker has some of the best visualizations of any social listening tool, as well as dashboard creation and curation. I would recommend Talkwalker to those using it to monitor one brand with several different products and campaigns. Talkwalker may not be as easy to organize for agency work, especially when pitching with fast turnaround new business requests. What do you like best about Lumen by Talkwalker?

The thing I like the most is Talkwalker's free search feature, that allows you to get quick insights from large sets of social data without having to pay the large sums that social listening tools usually cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumen by Talkwalker?

Having used other social monitoring tools like Brandwatch, Crimson Hexagon and Mention, I think that Talkwalker it's pretty similar to other tools and suffers from similar faults, like a steep learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use social listening to showcase clients the State of their industries, companies or some hot topics.

What do you like best about Lumen by Talkwalker?

Analytics-focused abilities. They took real care to provide meaningful ways of presenting the data that's available on social.

Robust visualization and drilldown capabilities make it easy to share the data to stakeholders internally and externally. Many visualizations are available for each widget, with thoughtful options such as applying log scaling to the data in cases of erratic charts. All of the visualization widgets are interactive and allow you to drilldown on sentiments and topics.

Dashboards are enjoyable to create and share, allowing for browser access. Report generation into PDF and Powerpoint formats are also appreciated.

Managing data and topics are also easy, there's a consistent query syntax that's used throughout the platform and can easily be used.

What do you dislike about Lumen by Talkwalker?

It can still be rough around the edges. Some error messages are difficult to decode, but client success managers are very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Try it out. They were very willing to give us trial access to the platform for assessment. Also, if you don't need deep analytics and tracking, you can take a look at their Quick Search solution which is also very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lumen by Talkwalker solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keeping track of client brands reputation online, and conducting social media sentiment research. A few of our services are based on this platform as a source of data.

We're working towards creating API connectivity to extract data that their engine is capturing so we can use said data for reports created on Tableau. Data captured is from most relevant online channels, except for Facebook and Instagram where no tool can actually go.

As mentioned previously, the web dashboarding ability has been a boon, as it makes it easier to convey and share the data to our internal teams as well as external clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lumen by Talkwalker?

The tool is very flexible and comprehensive when it comes to social listening and crisis management. As the tool is so versatile, it does mean that you need to invest time in learning and getting used to it. However, once you have done that, you reap the benefits. The platform essentially responds to what you put into it so the more you time/effort you put into it, the more it gives you in return.

The dashboards, reports and alerts functionality have proved really useful, with the tool allowing us to set up and share the different reports with various stakeholders.

The customer support is excellent and my Customer Success Manager is very responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lumen by Talkwalker?

Our company name is quite generic, so our topics pull through some irrelevant mentions that we have to manually sort through (either by adding to our exclusions list or by deleting the mention). The tool is not quite intuitive enough to pre-empt which mentions are not relevant by deleting the mentions alone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Using the tool has meant we are able to monitor trends, observe patterns of behaviour online and respond to direct requests in a timely manner.
