I would rather expect web GUI and implementation directly on server. **What problems is Talend Data Fabric solving and how is that benefiting you?** I had opportunity to implement two project with this software ( one with Cloud version ). The software is a bit difficult to get used to at first but believe me it has everything you need to extract your data for any kind of file. Once you get used to it, it is just drag and drop software and you can edit any component using java language. **What do you dislike about Talend Data Fabric?** Its a bit heavy on the ram and you only can edit the components using java. Also, it doesn't have an Elasticsearch connector (Only MySQL) so I had to create my own connector **Recommendations to others considering Talend Data Fabric:** I advice any one who is looking for an ETL tool to use talend open studio. It has practically anything you need and you can simply customize the data aggregation components using java. **What problems is Talend Data Fabric solving and how is that benefiting you?** Built a tool called I-monitor to extract information from logfiles, store them in elasticsearch, and visualize it using kibana. ### 4. Other ETL products seem to be more limited in their tool set, whereas, the options seem just about limitless with Talend. **What do you dislike about Talend Data Fabric?** The trade-off for the application being very flexible is that it has a steeper learning curve for the general user. It may be difficult for a less technical person to adopt and, in my opinion, is best positioned for technical resources that understand how to work with data and the possible use of coding to help in getting the most from the application. **Recommendations to others considering Talend Data Fabric:** When using this product, be sure to assess the skill sets of your team.
