What do you like best about TakeLessons?

That they advertise for me, and I don't have to pay anything up front (they take a percentage if you book a student). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TakeLessons?

I think that it's a lot to require students to purchase a package of 5 lessons to start. I think that they should offer a trial lesson first. Also, takelessons takes a significant percentage, so I had to increase my lesson rate and I think it deterred some potential students. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering TakeLessons:

Make sure you respond quickly to all message threads- they will cut off the thread after a day or two if you don't respond, and you don't have any other way to contact the potential student. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TakeLessons solving and how is that benefiting you?

I joined Takelessons in order to grow my private teaching studio. I have gotten three students from this site, and they are all great students that would not have found me otherwise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
